Determining positive asian handicaps in soccer matches
    Hi folks,

I was thinking about how difficult is to determine when to use positive asian handicaps for soccer matches. I consider the negative handicaps more intuitive because it seems to me to have a straight relationship with the favourite team. For example, Barcelona versus a weaker team I'm gonna put at least -0.5 for the first one. But when would it be plausible to put +2.5 for the second one ?
This is my difficulty regarding AH when I try to analyse soccer matches. Does anyone share this viewpoint also ?

    Cheers!

To be honest, I don't quite get your problem. The negative AH of one team is the positive AH of the other, and vice versa.

If you're more comfortable assessing things from the viewpoint of the stronger team, why not just do exactly that?

Or in other words: If you "consider the negative handicaps more intuitive because it seems to me to have a straight relationship with the favourite team", then you should be able to just reverse this and thus have a straight relationship for the underdog team, no?

I'm not sure mycon, because IMHO the team have to win an opposite strength when you define a negative AH. Maybe the positive AH could to give a hand in the probabilites.
