NFL Player News - Week 13

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette suspended one game

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette has been suspended one game for violations of the unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness rules.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette went after Shaq Lawson in the tunnel after getting ejected on Sunday. The Jaguars are at home against the Colts and they've benched QB Blake Bortles. That means Cody Kessler is their starting quarterback and without Fournette we'd see a combination of T.J. Yeldon and Carlos Hyde in the backfield.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles benched

Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has been benched in favor of Cody Kessler, according to head coach Doug Marrone.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

So long as Kessler is healthy, he should be the starter for the rest of the regular season. After making it to the AFC Championship last year, the Jaguars have fallen apart and the play of their quarterback is largely to blame. They don't ask him to do much and Bortles has still been ineffective and mostly careless with the football. Back in February of this year, Bortles signed a three-year extension with $26.5 million guaranteed. There's still $16.5 million in dead money next year according to Spotrac.com.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon has Grade 2 sprain

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) had an MRI reveal a Grade 2 sprain of his medial collateral ligament.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the Chargers here. Gordon will miss the next few weeks, but he could return before the end of the regular season. The Chargers turn to Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson in their backfield while Gordon is out.

CIN - QB Andy Dalton placed on IR

    Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (thumb) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 26. QB Tom Savage was claimed off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dalton's future with the team is up in the air, even though he's not set to hit the open market until 2021. If they release Dalton in the offseason, they can save $16.2 million in cap space and there is no dead money according to Spotrac.com. The Bengals move forward with Jeff Driskel as their starter.

DET - WR Marvin Jones going to IR

    Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones missed two games and there were some reports that speculated he could return in Week 13. That's not the case now as Jones sees his 2018 season come to a close. His season ends with a stat line of 35 catches for 508 yard and five touchdowns. The Lions move forward with Kenny Golladay as their no.1 receiver and not much else behind him at the position.

PHI - Philly planning to ride Josh Adams

    Source: NJ.com - Zack Rosenblatt

Philadelphia Eagles RB Josh Adams will reportedly see his workload expand moving forward each week, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Fantasy GMs who were able to get him last week. Adams is a swift and powerful runner who can grind down a defense. In Week 13 against Washington on Monday night, Adams is a RB2 for Fantasy GMs.

NYG - TE Evan Engram out indefinitely

Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is without a timetable to return after pulling his hamstring during pregame warmups in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants play at home against the Bears in Week 13. Engram insists that he'll play but we need to see what his practice status is like during the week.

    JAX - Nathaniel Hackett fired

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was fired Monday, Nov. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hackett had been with the Jaguars since 2015 and he'd been the offensive coordinator since 2016. He takes the fall for an offense that has to feature QB Blake Bortles. The Jaguars are 3-8 and certainly won't be making a playoff run this year after nearly taking down the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game last year. Until they find a real franchise quarterback, the Jaguars offense should continue to struggle.

BAL - Baltimore to use multiple quarterbacks?

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens QBs Joe Flacco (hip) and Lamar Jackson could be used 'a significant amount' at the same time once Flacco returns, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'We'll just do what gives us the best chance [to win] and try to use all of our players the best way we can,' Harbaugh said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Flacco is set to return to practice this week. We should get an update on his status on Wednesday. The Ravens travel to play the Falcons in Week 13. Rotating quarterbacks from series to series has never worked in the NFL and has rarely been tried. Harbaugh is going to have to make a decision soon.

IND - TE Jack Doyle likely out for the season

Source: The Athletic - Stephen Holder

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (undisclosed) suffered an unspecified injury in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins and is expected to land on the Reserve/Injured list, according to Stephen Holder of The Athletic.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the Colts offense here as Doyle was an important part of what they do as a receiver and a blocker. Eric Ebron is the clear no.1 tight end for the Colts now. Mo Alie-Cox is now set to be the primary backup to Ebron.

DEN - TE Jeff Heuerman out for the season

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman (ribs, lung) sustained broken ribs and a bruised lung in Week 12 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers and will miss the remainder of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Heuerman was just coming on for the Broncos this year. A third-round pick out of Ohio State in 2015, Heuerman had just 18 receptions entering the 2018 season. This year, Heuerman finishes with 31 catches for 281 yards and two touchdowns. An unrestricted free agent in 2019, we'll see if the Broncos thought enough of him to bring him back. They'll move forward with Matt LaCosse and Brian Parker at the tight end position.

NYJ - San Darnold's practice status uncertain

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (foot) is making progress in his recovery, but it is not known if he will be able to participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darnold has missed a couple of games due to this foot injury and Josh McCown has started in his place. We'll see if the Jets franchise quarterback can get back to practice this week.

MIA - WR Danny Amendola to miss practice time

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (knee) likely will not practice much this week because of a knee injury he suffered in the Week 12 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Amendola can get some practice time in later this week. Even if he's able to play, we can't recommend Amendola as anything more than a deep flex play for Fantasy GMs.

NO - Tre'Quan Smith puts in limited practice

    Source: DallasCowboys.com

New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith (toe) practiced on a limited basis Monday, Nov. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a good sign for Smith as the Saints play on Thursday against the Cowboys. Smith missed their game against the Falcons on Thanksgiving but he should return in Week 13.

IND - RB Marlon Mack in protocol

Source: The Athletic - Stephen Holder

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (concussion) is in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Frank Reich.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack was knocked from the game against the Dolphins on Sunday. The Colts travel to play the Jagaurs in Week 13. We'll know more about Mack's status later in the week.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson seeing hand specialists

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (hand) saw a local hand specialist in Tampa and is reportedly headed to New York to get a second opinion, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson injured his thumb back in Week 11 and has been largely ineffective since then. We'll know more about his status later in the week.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott dealing with hip issue

    Source: DallasCowboys.com - Rob Phillips

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (hip) missed practice Sunday, Nov. 26, due to hip soreness.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hip soreness is the reason why Elliott missed practice on Sunday but it shouldn't keep him out of the game against the Saints on Thursday.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake to be limited in Week 13

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) will not be allowed to take on contact during practice leading up to Week 13 after falling on the same shoulder that was bothering him last week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake scored a couple of touchdowns against the Colts on Sunday but he did miss time with this shoulder injury that has been bothering him for a couple of weeks. We anticipate he'll be limited in practice with a chance of playing in Week 13. Stay tuned to his status during the week and have Drake ready as a RB3 or flex play in Week 13.

I managed to pick up Josh Adams in my work league to help make up for the loss of Melvin Gordon. In my other work league with Melvin Gordon I'm trying to pick up Gus Edwards. I feel like I have better depth at RB in that league with Fournette Lindsay and Chubb already on my roster.

    Wednesday Update

BAL - QB Lamar Jackson to remain starter

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will make his third straight start in Week 13 as QB Joe Flacco (hip) has not been cleared to play yet. Flacco could be cleared in the coming days, however.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Flacco is likely to sit behind Jackson when he returns so long as the rookie is playing well. There's a chance the Ravens rotate quarterbacks but that rarely happens and doesn't look good when it does occur.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott usage not a worry

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott is on pace for a career-high 384 touches in 2018, but the Cowboys aren't concerned about exhausting their star running back.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elliott is a bit banged up heading down the stretch with some hip soreness. He's the centerpiece of the Cowboys offense and that won't change. Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said the Cowboys will continue to feature Elliott on all three downs, adding that Elliott's physical and mental capacity allows them to do that.

PIT - RB James Conner's fumbles addressed

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner has fumbled four times this season, with the latest resulting in a turnover in the Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Conner has three fumbles lost this year, second-most in the league behind Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (4). Head coach Mike Tomlin said he's not 'overly concerned' with the issue in his weekly news conference Tuesday, Nov. 27, but knows upcoming opponents will put the running back's football security to the test.

PIT - Le'Veon Bell eyeing Indy?

    Source: NESN.com

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell, a soon-to-be free agent, hinted on Instagram on Monday, Nov. 26, that he wouldn't mind playing with the Indianapolis Colts next season, tagging a NFL Andrew Luck graphic with the words 'Just imagine.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That seems to be a popular team to speculate about adding Bell next year. The Steelers could transition tag Bell for 2019, so acquiring him may not be as simple as just outbidding other teams for his services.

DET - RB C.J. Anderson works out for Detroit

Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Free-agent RB C.J. Anderson (Panthers) worked out for the Detroit Lions Tuesday, Nov. 27.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is Anderson's first known workout since the Panthers released him a couple of weeks ago. The Lions have a banged up backfield at the moment with rookie Kerryon Johnson missing time due to a knee injury. Veteran LeGarrette Blount is there plus Theo Riddick mixes in as a pass-catching back. If Anderson was unhappy with a lack of playing time in Carolina, there's not a clear path to more playing time with the Lions if they decide to add him. He may wait for a different opportunity.

NO - Tre'Quan Smith still limited

    Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith was limited in practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Nov. 27.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints play on Thursday night against the Cowboys. Smith is trending towards playing but we want to make sure he gets in some work on Wednesday.

DEN - TE Jeff Heuerman sent to IR

    Source: DenverBroncos.com - Ben Swanson

Denver Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman (ribs, lung) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 27.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos shut down Heuerman for the year and are hurting at the position as they lost Jake Butt (knee) earlier this season. Heuerman will be replaced in the lineup by Matt LaCosse. Fantasy GMs in deep leagues can pick up LaCosse as cheap backup tight end insurance if need be.

PIT - TE Vance McDonald hampered by injury

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Vance McDonald (hip) will be limited early this week with the hip injury he suffered in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McDonald has been banged up quite a bit during his pro career and this hip injury is the latest. Monitor his progress during the week but early indications are he'll be ready to go against the Chargers on Sunday night in Week 13.

DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay on impressive run

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay ranks third in the league in rushing (434 yards) and second in yards per carry (5.86) since Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay has been a phenomenon for the Broncos in 2018. Undrafted out of Colorado in 2018, Lindsay has taken over the Broncos backfield and is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. The Broncos are monitoring his workload as Lindsay is not a big back (190 pounds). Lindsay is a RB1 for Fantasy GMs as the fantasy playoffs are approaching.

CLE - QB Baker Mayfield thriving of late

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has shown improvement since the late-October firings of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mayfield's 87.5 Total QBR ranks third in the league during that span, and he's completing 73.9 percent of his passes, averaging 8.76 yards per attempt with nine touchdowns and one interception. The Browns go on the road in Week 13 to face a red hot Texans team and Mayfield should be looked at as a QB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs.

Americans watched an incredible 48.4 billion minutes of football last week. 32 billion NFL and 16.4 billion CFB. Basically 2.5 hours of football for every man, woman and child in the country.

    Thursday Update

CIN - WR A.J. Green says he'll play

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Fletcher Page

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) said he'll play in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green's return doesn't automatically put him back in your fantasy lineup...mainly because the Bengals are moving forward with Jeff Driskel at quarterback for the rest of the year. If Green is going to play on Sunday against the Broncos, we'd see him more as a high-end WR2 than his normal WR1 status. Stay tuned.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette's appeal denied

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette's appeal of his one-game suspension was denied Wednesday, Nov. 28, and he'll be out for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette will miss a home game against the Colts on Sunday. The Jaguars will move forward with T.J. Yeldon and Carlos Hyde in the backfield. Yeldon is an RB2/flex play while Hyde is more of a RB3/deep flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 13.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky officially limited

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky was close to playing on Thanksgiving last week. He should be able to play on the road Sunday against the Giants. Stay tuned for his practice status later in the week.

NYJ - QB Sam Darnold back at practice Wednesday

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (foot) returned to practice Wednesday, Nov. 28, and was a limited participant.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darnold hasn't played since Week 9 against the Dolphins. He's getting closer to a return but is no guarantee to get back on the field Sunday against the Titans.

BAL - No practice for RB Alex Collins

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) was held out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins has been passed up by Gus Edwards on the depth chart. Even if he does play, the role going forward for Collins will be altered negatively. It might be some time before he's cleared to return.

LAC - RB Austin Ekeler fully practices

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (neck) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ekeler has a big opportunity as the Chargers starter with Melvin Gordon out. On the road against the Steelers, Ekeler should perform like a low-end RB1 in PPR leagues.

NYJ - QB Josh McCown limited Wednesday

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets QB Josh McCown (back, hand) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sam Darnold was back at practice on Wednesday but on a limited basis. They might use McCown as their starter one more week with the rookie still on the mend.

GB - TE Jimmy Graham does not practice

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers are out of the playoff hunt, so there's no need to rush Graham out there. We could see plenty of Lance Kendricks against the Cardinals on Sunday if Graham can't play.

BAL - No practice for Gus Edwards

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards has been the workhorse for the Ravens offense over the last two weeks. They may just be giving him some rest here. Make sure to check on his practice status on Friday.

SEA - J.D. McKissic officially activated

    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Seattle Seahawks WR J.D. McKissic (foot) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list to the active roster Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McKissic can help the team as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. He may not have much fantasy value as the Seahawks have a jam-packed group of running backs in front of him like Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and Mike Davis.

TB - RB Peyton Barber practices in full

    Source: Buccaneers.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber (ankle, shoulder) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's a good sign for Barber's availability in Week 13. The team is at home to face the Panthers on Sunday. Barber is a RB3/flex play for Fantasy GMs this week.

CAR - QB Cam Newton limited in practice

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

On the road against the Buccaneers in Week 13, Newton is a top-5 QB play for Fantasy GMs.

PIT - TE Vance McDonald doesn't practice

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Vance McDonald (hip) was not able to practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McDonald has been banged up quite a bit as a pro. This hip injury is considered minor but make sure to check back on his status later in the week.

MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill practices in full

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was able to practice in full Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill was back last week and almost led the Dolphins to a win over the Colts. This week, the Dolphins are at home to take on the Bills. That makes Tannehill a low-end QB2 for Fantasy GMs.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker limited in practice

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker has been dealing with this shoulder injury for some time. He lacks much fantasy value at home against the Bills in Week 13.

NO - Tre'Quan Smith has full practice

    Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith (toe) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for the rookie's availability in Week 13. The Saints travel to play the Cowboys on Thursday night.

NYG - TE Evan Engram misses practice

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, New York Giants TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Earlier reports indicated Engram could practice today but that's not the case. He insists that he'll play on Sunday against the Bears but we'll have to see him in practice on Friday at the latest.

CAR - WR Devin Funchess still not practicing

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (back) remained out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Back injuries are always tricky to deal with. Funchess missed last week's game and we'll have to see if he can practice later in the week in order to play against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins no go for practice

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was absent from practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A bit surprising news here as the Chiefs are coming out of their Week 12 bye. Watkins could be saved up for a playoff run (which could end up at the Super Bowl), so there's no need to rush him back out there if he's not fully ready.

CAR - WR Curtis Samuel sidelined Wednesday

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Jourdan Rodrigue

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) was held out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel is a playmaker for the Panthers offense, scoring four touchdowns in a limited role over the last four weeks. Monitor his practice status during the week if you're considering him as a cheap DFS play or as a 'what the heck' flex in season-long leagues.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson has limited practice

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28, while wearing a small brace on his injured left thumb.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The brace on his thumb might make it difficult to catch passes. He doesn't have great chemistry with QB Jameis Winston and is only a deep flex play against the Panthers in Week 13.

BAL - No practice for QB Joe Flacco

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) is not practicing Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lamar Jackson should start again for the Ravens this week. Reporters around the team speculate that Flacco will need to get in a full week of practice before he returns to the field.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson misses practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) is not practicing Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson missed the game on Thanksgiving against the Bears and it looks like he'll miss another game. That means LeGarrette Blount could be the leading ball-carrier for the Lions in Week 13 against the Rams. Blount would be a RB3 or deep flex play in this matchup.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake limited

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake is going to be non-contact this week in practice...just like he was last week. He played against the Colts and had a nice day for Fantasy GMs with a couple of touchdowns. Drake will be limited this week but should be able to play against the Bills barring a setback. He's a deep flex...almost a 'what the heck' flex in this tough matchup on Sunday.

MIA - WR Danny Amendola out of practice

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Amendola was hurt early in the game against the Colts last week. Not practicing today doesn't mean he won't play in Week 13, so make sure to watch his practice status during the week if you'd want to use him as a 'what the heck' flex against the Bills.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman still not ready to return

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') is doing better but is 'not all the way back yet,' according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foreman has spent the entire season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and the team has until Dec. 6 to activate him or place him on season-ending Injured Reserve. If active, Foreman could potentially cut into the touches for Lamar Miller.

Phil Lindsay has really shined, he can run inside and hits the hole at full speed...very impressive for an undrafted free agent, many GMS missed the ball on this guy.

Does Shaquon have some competition for Rookie of the Year? I think not since Mayfield did not start all year, but it might be closer than it was a few weeks ago.

    Friday Update

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky likely to sit again

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) is likely to sit again in Week 13 as the team plays it safe with him. QB Chase Daniel will get the start against the New York Giants.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Daniel is a low end QB2/Superflex, but one with an acceptable floor after he was competent last week. He'll face a not too imposing Giants defense this weekend.

LAC - Another full practice for RB Austin Ekeler

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (neck) was a full participant at practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ekeler is ready to go as the Chargers lead back with Melvin Gordon banged up. In PPR leagues, Ekeler could perform like a RB1 with his improved workload.

OAK - QB Derek Carr takes part in practice

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carr is likely going to have to play 'catch up' football against the Chiefs in Week 13. Even with that heightened sense of needing to score due to the opponents nearly unstoppable offense, Carr is a QB2 for Fantasy GMs.

HOU - WR Demaryius Thomas practices in full

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Demaryius Thomas (wrist) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas was a touchdown hog for the Texans the last time out. While those targets in the red zone may vary slightly from week to week, Thomas has shown enough in this offense to be a WR3 or flex play at least for Fantasy GMs.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins listed as limited

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It would be news if Hopkins wasn't limited during the week of practice. Start him as you normally would.

TB - RB Peyton Barber downgraded

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber put in a limited practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's something worth monitoring if you're going to consider Barber this week against the Panthers. Fantasy GMs likely have better options as Barber is projected as a low-end RB3 in Week 13.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson sits again

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Johnson is going to miss another game for the Lions. That makes LeGarrette Blount their lead back with Theo Riddick continuing as their primary pass-catching back. Riddick has low-end RB2 or flex value in PPR leagues while Blount is a RB4 or deep flex this week against the Rams.

IND - TE Eric Ebron fully practices

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (back) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't have to worry about his missed practice yesterday. Ebron is a strong TE1 with Jack Doyle sidelined, and perhaps even good enough to merit flex consideration if you have another strong TE1 as he scored three times against the Jaguars in the first meeting.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton limited

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jalen Ramsey was out, so Hilton appears to be in better shape than his nemesis on the Jaguars side of the ball. As long as he plays, Hilton deserves at least WR3/Flex consideration.

WAS - RB Chris Thompson should play

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) has looked good running this week and is expected to play, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Thompson has missed six games this year due to rib injuries.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Consider Thompson a PPR flex, but he could be rusty in his first game back from injury. He could be a prime target for Colt McCoy in the short passing game, especially if Washington falls behind.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen takes part in practice

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Jourdan Rodrigue

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen is healthy, but not very explosive in recent games. He did have a nice game against the Bucs in the first matchup, so he's still in the low TE1 ranks, but he has very little momentum right now.

CIN - WR A.J. Green limited again

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No matter what Green says, he is not a sure thing to play, but if he is active on Sunday, it will be difficult to bench him, even with a backup quarterback in.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson has limited practice

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (hand, thumb) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 29, but did not catch passes.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson is going to be a small part of the pass offense if he is even active. He and Jameis Winston have struggled to get on the same page this year. Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries are better plays this week.

IND - RB Marlon Mack cleared to practice

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, as he works his way back from a concussion suffered Sunday.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He is on track to be ready for the matchup at Jacksonville Sunday. Consider him a low ceiling RB2 in a tough matchup, but against a team that just went through a lot of turmoil this week.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson absent from practice

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (shoulder) was not at practice Thursday, Nov. 29, as he deals with a sore shoulder.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson's numbers have been small when he hasn't scored lately, and Washington is getting back Chris Thompson. Peterson is more low ceiling flex than RB2 this week.

BAL - RB Alex Collins back on practice field

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) was able to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, after sitting out with a foot injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens backfield is getting crowded again. If Gus Edwards ankle issue comes up on Sunday or the rookie has a rough afternoon, Collins could have some value again yet.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins remains sidelined

Source: The Kansas City Star - Brooke Pryor

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) is not practicing Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins is looking like he'll miss another week. Since he had a bye to rest his foot, this could indicate an even longer absence than just Week 13. Chris Conley will get to start in his place, but he is a low floor play that only came alive when the Chiefs were in one of the biggest shootouts in NFL history.

BAL - Gus Edwards returns to work

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, after sitting out the previous day.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards is a boom/bust RB2/Flex this week against a weak Falcons run defense, but a Falcons offense that could jump out to a lead and put the Ravens running game in the backseat of the game plan.

BAL - QB Joe Flacco returns to practice

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, as he deals with a hip injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Flacco could be back next week if he gets in a full week of practice, but likely only if Lamar Jackson bombs at Atlanta this week and the Ravens lose.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs remains out

    Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) missed his second straight day of practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs has said he will play on Sunday afternoon against the Patriots, but he said the same thing before Week 9, which he missed. This is tougher matchup and the Vikings don't have a bye on the other side of it, so his proclamation is a little more trustworthy, although we'll still want to check in Sunday morning.

CAR - WR Devin Funchess back on field

Source: The Athletic - Joe Person

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (back) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 29, after sitting out the previous day with a back injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Funchess should play this week, but he has been passed by DJ Moore and should only be considered a desperation play despite the matchup, although he's one that could work out because of the matchup.

    Saturday Update

KC - RB Kareem Hunt released

Source: USA TODAY Sports - A.J. Perez

The Kansas City Chiefs released RB Kareem Hunt Friday, Nov. 30, and placed on the commissioner's exempt list following the release of video showing Hunt involved in a physical altercation with a woman. 'As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him,' the Chiefs said in a statement. 'Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The evidence released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This moved quickly. Spencer Ware becomes the primary running back for Kansas City.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake not on injury report

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 30, but is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake is a boom/bust RB2 this week, but this is a good sign that his shoulder issue won't be one of the risks that creates a bust result this week.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders ready to play

    Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (heel) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 30, but is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders has been the clear #1 receiver since Demaryius Thomas was traded. Consider him a solid WR2 at Cincinnati now that he has been removed from the injury report.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin ready to play

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a good sign for Baldwin's condition after he was a game-time decision last week, although he could also be limited by an easy matchup that will have the Seahawks possibly ahead big in the second half.

WAS - RB Chris Thompson takes part in practice

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson is ready to return to the lineup and he could be a frequent target for Colt McCoy in the short passing game.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed a limited participant

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (back) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 30.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed has a great matchup this Monday against the Eagles secondary that allowed Rhett Ellison to run free a few times last week, but we'll have to watch this to make sure it's not a problem considering Reed's lengthy injury history.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder remains limited

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 30.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Crowder has a chance to return, which slows down the Trey Quinn sleeper train. If Crowder can go, he'll be a risky play, but a potentially strong one against a banged up Eagles secondary.

CAR - WR Curtis Samuel ready for Tampa

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday, Nov. 30 and he is off the injury report ahead of the Week 13 game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel scored twice in the first matchup with the Bucs and should be considered a boom/bust WR3/Flex for this matchup.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen looking for resurgence

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 30, and he is off the injury report ahead of the Week 13 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had season highs with six grabs, 76 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting with the Bucs on Nov. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen has been slowing down in fantasy leagues, but this is a get-right matchup for him.

CAR - WR Devin Funchess listed as questionable

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (back, not injury related) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 30, but he is still listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Funchess is probably #3 on the fantasy depth chart now behind DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel, but he's worth a desperation play if active because of the poor state of the Bucs secondary.

SF - WR Marquise Goodwin, WR Pierre Garcon out

    Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (non-injury) and WR Pierre Garcon (knee) have been ruled out of the Week 13 game. Goodwin did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 30, while Garcon was limited during practice.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dante Pettis will get another chance to show off why the 49ers selected him in the second round this year. The matchup at Seattle is tough but he'll be worth a look as a WR3/Flex in deep leagues.

LAC - WR Tyrell Williams questionable for Week 13

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (quadriceps) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams was only on the field for a few snaps last week and it doesn't sound like he is going to do a lot more this week. Mike Williams becomes a better WR3/Flex play with Tyrell banged up.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs officially questionable

    Source: Vikings.com

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is officially listed as questionable for the Week 13 game against the New England Patriots.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs is still not a sure thing to play, but is reasonably certain to be in the lineup and a frequent target for Kirk Cousins. He has had problems playing at his usual level when on the injury report in the past, but his ceiling is too high to sit if he is active.

PIT - TE Vance McDonald on track to play

    Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Vance McDonald (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McDonald's hip injury doesn't look like it will limit him on Sunday against the Chargers. He's a solid streamer with the strong cornerback play by Los Angeles possibly encouraging Ben Roethlisberger to throw more to his tight ends.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski ready to play

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gronkowski being off of the injury report is a great development for building confidence in him as a solid TE1 for the stretch run.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins a no-go for Week 13

    Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chris Conley will get another start, although his numbers have only been good with Watkins out when the Chiefs were in one of the biggest shootouts in NFL history. He's more what the heck flex than solid WR3/Flex this week.

IND - TE Eric Ebron not on injury report

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron is an elite fantasy tight end now with Jack Doyle on IR, and perhaps even flexworthy if you have Zach Ertz or Travis Kelce in addition to Ebron on your roster.

    Sunday Update

KC - RB Spencer Ware taking over top job

Source: The Kansas City Star - Lynn Worthy

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware will be the team's starting running back moving forward after RB Kareem Hunt was released.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ware is a talented runner who could start for many teams around the league...and now he's back starting for the Chiefs. He's the hottest waiver wire pickup for Fantasy GMs with Kareem Hunt being released, and Ware should have RB1 value each week as the lead back for the Chiefs.

CAR - WR Devin Funchess has chance to play

    Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (back) is listed as questionable for the Week 13 game, but head coach Ron Rivera said Funchess probably would have been listed as probable if that was still an option.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Funchess should be out there for the Panthers this week. With the emergence of D.J. Moore, Funchess should only be considered a WR5/deep flex play in Week 13.

OAK - WR Martavis Bryant downgraded

Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal - Michael Gehlken

Oakland Raiders WR Martavis Bryant (knee) was downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Week 13. He has not practiced in three weeks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Marcel Ateman and Jordy Nelson will be the Raiders top targets at the wide receiver position.

PHI - RB Josh Adams added to injury report

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Josh Adams (hip) was limited in practice Saturday, Dec. 1. He is questionable to play in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This late-week setback is not a good thing...so have other options at the ready just in case. It seems like he could play if the Eagles want to involve other backs (Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood) as ball carriers. We should see the return of Darren Sproles this week too.

BAL - No surgery for RB Alex Collins

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) will not need to undergo surgery on his injured foot and should be healthy in the offseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Collins here. He had a breakout season in 2017 but couldn't stay healthy and match that production in 2018. Collins is a restricted free agent in 2019.

BAL - RB Kenneth Dixon activated from IR

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

The Baltimore Ravens activated RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Dec. 1.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll grab Dixon as a lottery ticket move in deeper leagues. He's behind Gus Edwards, the lead back for the Ravens...but if Dixon gets an opportunity for a larger role he could make plays. Ty Montgomery and Buck Allen also crowd that backfield for Baltimore.

PHI - RB Darren Sproles on track to play Monday

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Dave Spadaro

Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) is slated to be used as a punt returner and will be 'in the mix on third downs' for Week 13's game against the Washington Redskins, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sproles should be back in action this week. He's a change-of-pace option for the team behind starter Josh Adams. Fantasy GMs could throw him in as a 'what the heck' flex in PPR leagues but there are likely much better options out there in Week 13.

CLE - TE David Njoku logs full practice Friday

    Source: NFL.com - Herbie Teope

Contrary to a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was a full practice participant Friday, Nov. 30, and is no longer listed on the injury report for Week 13's game against the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for the young tight end. He's athletic and has a good connection with QB Baker Mayfield. Njoku is a low-end TE1 against the Texans in Week 13.

BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin playing less by design

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin has seen his playing time decrease because the team wants to take a look at how some of the younger receivers could do with more snaps, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In Week 12 against the Jaguars, Benjamin was only targeted twice and caught one pass for 32 yards. He's topped 50 yards just once all year and hasn't found the end zone since Week 2. Fantasy GMs have much better options and Benjamin isn't even worth a roster spot in some leagues.

CIN - QB Andy Dalton underwent surgery

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (thumb) underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb Tuesday, Nov. 27.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dalton said he will be ready to go when the team's offseason training program begins in April....but with zero remaining in dead money on his contract one has to wonder if Dalton will return in 2019. It's not a guarantee and something worth watching as the offseason rolls towards us. The Bengals move forward in 2018 with Jeff Driskel as their starting quarterback, starting this Sunday at home against the Broncos.

SF - WR Dante Pettis to start

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers WR Dante Pettis will start against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In last week's game against the Buccaneers, Pettis had four catches for 77 yards and one touchdown. Pettis has big-play ability anytime he touches the rock. His speed and quickness in college at Washington reminded many in the scouting community of DeSean Jackson. On the road against Seattle, Pettis is worth considering in deep leagues as a 'what the heck' flex.

What a great comeback by the Chargers . Pittsburgh was 220-0-2 all-time when leading by 14 or more points at home.

Justin Jackson looked amazing in that comeback. Melvin Gordon supposedly might be available next week but I’m going to try to pick up Jackson as insurance since Ekeler is long gone.

    Monday Update

DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay runs wild against Bengals

    Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay rushed 19 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay is coming for a fantasy MVP award as a Week 2 waiver wire pickup that is an RB1 heading into the fantasy playoffs. He'll be an automatic play against the 49ers next week.

CAR - Another big game for RB Christian McCaffrey

    Source: NFL.com

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey rushed 10 times for 106 yards in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he added nine receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCaffrey has become a fantasy MVP after getting over an early season touchdown drought. He'll carry a lot of teams to the playoffs next week and likely help them advance at Cleveland.

ATL - WR Julio Jones turns in a dud

    Source: ESPN.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught two of his eight targets for 18 yards in a 26-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones hadn't had any big letdown games this year after having multiple quiet games last year. He'll face a much easier defense in Green Bay next week and should still be in lineups.

BAL - Gus Edwards logs 21 carries

    Source: ESPN.com

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards rushed 21 times for 82 yards in a 26-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards didn't break through for any scores or big plays against the Falcons, but he'll have another good matchup next week at Kansas City and continues to be the lead back after going undrafted earlier this year.

BAL - QB Lamar Jackson runs for TD

    Source: ESPN.com

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 12 of his 21 passes for 125 yards and rushed 17 times for 75 yards and a touchdown in a 26-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson briefly left the game to go through a concussion check and wasn't helped by a Falcons offense that didn't put much pressure on the Ravens offense to score more in this one. He also lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. He'll be a high ceiling streamer next week at Kansas City.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay targeted eight times

    Source: NFL.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay hauled in three receptions for 50 yards on eight targets in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Levine Toilolo was the leading receiver and tackle Taylor Decker caught the touchdown from Matthew Stafford in this one, making Golladay a disappointment. He'll likely square off with Patrick Peterson next week and be a boom/bust play.

GB - Mike McCarthy fired in Green Bay

Source: USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin - Pete Dougherty

The Green Bay Packers fired head coach Mike McCarthy after the team's Week 13 loss against the Arizona Cardinals, as they team fell to 4-7-1. The team named Joe Philbin as the interim coach.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers offense seems to be more held back by McCarthy than enhanced by him. We can all hope that the Packers hire a modern offensive-minded head coach or at least a young innovative offensive coordinator next year, but the offense probably won't be immediately revolutionized by the firing. The Packers do still have a better outlook against the Falcons next week.

LAR - RB Todd Gurley has another huge game

    Source: NFL.com

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 23 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions and he added three grabs for 33 yards on five targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gurley was back in top form after underwhelming in Week 11 due to an ankle injury. He'll face a strong Bears run defense next week, but he's been so good this year that lots of his teams will have byes.

CIN - TE C.J. Uzomah racks up five catches

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah registered five receptions for 33 yards on seven targets in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Uzomah is becoming a viable PPR streamer at tight end with Jeff Driskel focusing on more short safe passing.

CIN - WR Tyler Boyd just misses triple digits

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd posted six receptions for 97 yards on eight targets in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Boyd is set up to be a reliable play down the stretch with AJ Green likely sidelined. He's been one of the few bright spots for the Bengals offense lately.

CIN - RB Joe Mixon just misses 100 total yards

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon racked up 12 carries for 82 yards in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos and he added two grabs for 13 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mixon still has the look of one of the next big things at running back, but his offense isn't supporting big games for him. He'll be a low ceiling RB2 against the Chargers next week.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon involved in passing game

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon caught seven passes for 49 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13. He also rushed for 16 yards on eight carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon has some desperation play PPR value in the very short range Jaguars passing game on Thursday against the Titans on the strength of this performance.

IND - Nine receptions for RB Nyheim Hines

    Source: NFL.com

Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines caught nine passes for 50 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hines was a checkdown option for Andrew Luck all day because the Jaguars put the clamps on the Colts pass offense. He'll still be only a desperation play next week against the Texans.

IND - TE Eric Ebron catches 10 passes

    Source: NFL.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron caught 10 passes for 81 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron didn't make any impact plays, but his volume still made him a nice play in PPR leagues. He'll be a strong TE1 against the Texans next week.

HOU - Seven catches for WR DeAndre Hopkins

    Source: NFL.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught seven passes for 91 yards against the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hopkins had a big first half but wasn't needed in the second half. He'll still be an elite WR1 option against the Colts next week even though he hasn't gone off over the last two weeks.

TB - WR Mike Evans doesn't do much in win

    Source: NFL.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans picked up four receptions for 48 yards on six targets in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans has been kept down James Bradberry in both matchups now. He might see double teams or Marshon Lattimore next week against the Saints but still has too much upside to leave on our benches.

HOU - RB Lamar Miller rushes for over 100 yards

    Source: NFL.com

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller is running like a younger version of himself right now. The Texans defense has been helping them have favorable game scripts for the running game and keeping Miller among the RB2 ranks.

TB - WR Adam Humphries scores in third straight

    Source: NFL.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries registered seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in the Week 13 game against the Carolina Panthers. He has scored in three consecutive outings.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Humphries has become a more stable part of the Bucs pass offense with injuries thinning the ranks. He'll be a solid WR3/Flex option against the Saints next week.

TB - WR Chris Godwin hits century mark in win

    Source: NFL.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin registered five receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Godwin was huge in place of Desean Jackson and had a good day against the Panthers secondary. He should avoid Marshon Lattimore next week at least some of the time and be worth a WR3/Flex start.

CLE - WR Antonio Callaway finishes with 84 yards

    Source: NFL.com

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway caught three passes for 84 yards against the Houston Texans in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Callaway fumbled at the goal line and had another long score wiped out by penalty, so a bigger game was there. He has shown enough to merit a WR3/Flex look in deep leagues and leagues with a big play bonus. He could break through against the Panthers secondary next week.

CLE - WR Jarvis Landry surpasses 100-yard mark

    Source: NFL.com

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry caught six passes for 103 yards against the Houston Texans in Week 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Landry finally came through in a week where he was likely on benches after fading from the Browns improved pass offense. He'll be back in our WR3/Flex group next week against the Carolina, but might not get as favorable of a game script.

CAR - WR Curtis Samuel targeted 11 times

    Source: NFL.com

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel registered six receptions for 88 yards on 11 targets in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel's volume and production was enough to encourage us to play him as a WR3/Flex against the Browns next week even though he didn't score after getting two touchdowns against the Bucs in the first matchup.

CAR - QB Cam Newton picked off four times

    Source: NFL.com

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton completed 28-of-41 passes for 300 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions in the Week 13 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he rushed for 33 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton had numerous poor throws and couldn't take advantage of a Bucs secondary which was poor to begin with and playing backups and some positions. He's as boom/bust as ever heading to Cleveland next week.
