NFL Player News - Week 10

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

TB - QB Jameis Winston out two weeks

    Source: PewterReport.com

Confirming a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston will indeed be sidelined the next two weeks in order to heal his injured shoulder, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A move that was expected. Ryan W. Griffin (shoulder) will be activated from the Reserve/Injured list to back up QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. The team will also be missing WR Mike Evans for one game due to his suspension for a cheap shot on Saints CB Marshon Lattimore.

TB - WR Mike Evans suspended one game

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans has been suspended for the Buccaneers' Week 10 contest for his involvement in an altercation Sunday, Nov. 5, versus the New Orleans Saints.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans went after Saints CB Marshon Lattimore with a cheap shot where he hit him in the back. The officials made a mistake not booting Evans from the game after that, but they're correcting that error with this suspension. Without Evans, we'll see more from WRs DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries. It could also lead to more targets for TEs Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard.

ATL - WR Julio Jones has leg injury

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Kelsey Conway

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (leg) played through a lower leg injury in the Falcons' Week 9 win, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones will be limited in practice this week. We'll know more about his playing status in Week 10 later in the week. The Falcons are at home against the Cowboys on Sunday.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray nursing knee injury

    Source: PaulKuharsky.com

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (knee) appears to be passed his shoulder and hamstring issues, but head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters the veteran running back is now dealing with a knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

His nine carries for 19 yards against the Ravens in Week 9 were a season low. We should see him limited in practice during the week. Murray's Week 10 status is not known at this time. Derrick Henry would be in line for a larger role at home against the Bengals if Murray can't play.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott hearing scheduled for Thursday

Source: Daily Breeze - Curtis Zupke
Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott's hearing with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Per the Dallas Morning News' Kate Hairopoulos, Elliott can practice and play with the Cowboys until the three-judge committee rules since the stay he received last week did not have an end date.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like Elliott is on a week-to-week basis with these legal proceedings. There is no end date for the temporary stay that was handed down last week.

HOU - QB Tom Savage likely to make another start

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans QB Tom Savage is expected to start Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Savage doesn't do anything to inspire confidence, but the Texans don't really have a better option. If he continues to struggle then perhaps we'd eventually see T.J. Yates or Matt McGloin.

CIN - No suspension for WR A.J. Green

    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green will not be suspended for his involvement in an altercation with Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's unbelievable that Green didn't get suspended for his altercation with Ramsey. He threw more than one punch at the young CB and Green also body slammed him from around the neck two times. Green will be on the field against the Titans in Week 10 and of course should be considered a WR1 for fantasy owners.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant banged up

    Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) is considered day-to-day as he deals with knee and ankle injuries, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

All fantasy owners need to add WR Terrance Williams if he's on the waiver wire. We could see a larger role for WRs like Williams and Cole Beasley if Bryant misses time or isn't quite himself when he does play. Garrett doesn't believe Bryant's knee injury is serious.

DEN - QB Brock Osweiler to start again

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler will be the starting quarterback against the New England Patriots in Week 10, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Osweiler didn't look good against the Eagles defense in Week 9, throwing two interceptions and leading the team to only one touchdown drive. He'll have a better matchup against the Patriots defense, but he's nothing more than a QB2 for fantasy owners. If he struggles again this week, expect the Broncos to turn to 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch at some point.

TEN - More running in QB Marcus Mariota's future?

    Source: John Glennon

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota will likely be involved in more designed runs moving forward since the team feels good about his mobility. Mariota suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 and has only carried six times for 14 scoreless yards in three games since.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That seems to make sense as the young QB gets healthier. Last year, Mariota had 59 carries for 357 yards in 15 games. His rushing ability only enhances his fantasy value.

HOU - QB Colin Kaepernick was option for HOU

    Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop

Free-agent QB Colin Kaepernick (49ers) was discussed as an option after QB Deshaun Watson (knee) was lost for the season, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kaepernick would be a better option than what the Texans have right now with Watson out for the year. However, the situation with him is incredibly polarizing and one that no team seems ready to take on.

SEA - RB C.J. Prosise on the field Monday

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) fully participated in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Prosise could be back in action this week, but there's little fantasy value in his role as a change-of-pace back. Thomas Rawls will be the lead back for Seattle on the road against the Cardinals on Thursday night.

SEA - RB Eddie Lacy does not practice

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks RB Eddie Lacy (groin) did not participate in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lacy may not be able to play in Week 10. We should see Thomas Rawls as the lead back on the road against the Cardinals.

SEA - TE Jimmy Graham sits out

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (ankle) did not participate in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch to see if Graham can practice on Wednesday. The team travels to play the Cardinals on Thursday night in Week 10.

NYG - QB Eli Manning could yield to Smith or Webb at some point?

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano
New York Giants QB Eli Manning is the Giants' starting quarterback, for now, but head coach Ben McAdoo didn't rule out the possibility of giving QB Geno Smith or QB Davis Webb a chance at some point this season. Smith came in for a couple snaps in New York's Week 9 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Like much of the team, Manning's future in NY isn't totally clear. The Giants selected Webb in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft with an idea that he could be a developmental prospect. Webb is a 'toolsy' QB with size (6'5" 230 pounds) and arm strength, but he played in a Cal offense that didn't ask him to throw downfield much (65 percent of his completions less than 10 yards from the line of scrimmage). He's drawn comparisons to Brock Osweiler (Broncos) and Nick Foles (Eagles) by some in the scouting community.

WAS - TE Vernon Davis expected to be fine

Source: The Washington Post - Rick Maese

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (hand) suffered a hand contusion in Week 9, but the team is optimistic that Davis will be able to play this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis could be in for a large role if Jordan Reed misses the Week 10 game against the Vikings. Reed is day-to-day with a hamstring injury, but Washington head coach Jay Gruden says he's making progress.

BAL - Baltimore running backs to return to practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RBs Danny Woodhead (hamstring) and Terrance West (calf) will return to practice Tuesday, Nov. 7, and Wednesday, Nov. 8, before receiving four days off for the Ravens' bye week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners need to take note here. Woodhead was on track for a major role with this offense before suffering this hamstring injury. He's a RB2 with upside for fantasy owners in PPR leagues. Add him now for an expected return in Week 11.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed day-to-day

Source: The Washington Post - Rick Maese

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) is making progress in his recovery and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed is always banged up, and his fantasy owners are already used to him missing time...or just watching the injury report to check his status. We'll know more about him at the end of the week. Washington is at home to face the Vikings in Week 10.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder making progress

Source: The Washington Post - Rick Maese

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is making progress in his recovery and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder did not practice last week and missed the Week 9 game against the Seahawks. With the extra rest, Crowder should return to the practice field at some point this week.

    Wednesday Update

TB - WR Mike Evans' appeal denied

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans' one-game suspension was upheld Tuesday, Nov. 7. He will not play in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans took a cheap shot on Saints rookie CB Marshon Lattimore in Week 9, and that's why he's sitting this one out. At home against the Jets in Week 10, WRs DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries should get more work. We may even see more targets for TEs Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.

CLE - WR Josh Gordon returns to Browns

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon officially returned to the Browns' facility Tuesday, Nov. 7, and is expected to participate in team meetings Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon can return to game action in Week 13. There's no telling how he'll play now that he's cleaned up his life. Gordon has admitted that he played inebriated (drunk or high) most of the time...even dating back to his college days at Baylor. Fantasy owners with bench space should grab Gordon now as a lottery ticket pick.

NO - RB Alvin Kamara doing it all

Source: The Times-Picayune - Jeff Duncan

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara is one of three players in the NFL this year with at least 300 rushing yards, 300 receiving yards and five total touchdowns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kamara has been a great find for the Saints and for fantasy owners. His all-purpose ability gives him RB1 upside every week in PPR leagues even though Mark Ingram is the lead back in New Orleans.

BAL - RB Danny Woodhead unsure about Week 11 return

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead (hamstring) practice Tuesday, Nov. 7, but declined to tell reporters when he is planning on returning to game action.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Woodhead should be back by Week 11, and fantasy owners in leagues with bench space can go ahead and add him now. Monitor his status leading up to Week 11 as Woodhead looked like he was going to have a large role for the Ravens offense before this injury. He's got RB2 upside for fantasy owners in PPR leagues when healthy.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater to be activated soon

    Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is expected to join the 53-man roster soon, according to team sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bridgewater should be activated soon, and to make room for him the team may put Sam Bradford on Injured Reserve. He'll backup Case Keenum so long as Keenum is winning. Bridgewater could get back into the starting lineup if Keenum begins to struggle.

PIT - WR Martavis Bryant runs with first-team

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant practiced with the first-team offense Monday, Nov. 6, and he anticipates playing in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant was suspended for the Steelers game in Week 8, and the team had a bye last week. He should play in Week 10 on the road against the Colts. So long as Bryant is out of the doghouse, he's got flex appeal for fantasy owners.

SEA - RB Eddie Lacy unlikely to play

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Eddie Lacy (groin) is not expected to play in Week 10 due to his groin injury. RB Thomas Rawls will start in his place.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Seahawks play on Thursday night against the Cardinals. This move was expected as Lacy wasn't even able to finish the game in Week 9. He logged 11 snaps against Washington before injuring his groin. Rawls is a consideration as a flex play for fantasy owners.

HOU - QB Deshaun Watson has surgery Tuesday

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (knee) underwent surgery Tuesday, Nov. 7, to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered in his right knee during practice last week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

ACL injuries aren't quite as devastating as they used to be. Barring setbacks, Watson should be able to participate in training camp next summer. We should see him as the Week 1 starter for the Texans in 2018.

NE - WR Chris Hogan a no-go Monday

Source: Boston Herald - Karen Guregian

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) did not participate in practice Monday, Nov. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hogan may be able to participate later in the week. The Patriots travel to the Mile High City to take on the Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 10.

MIA - Adam Gase sees running game making progress

    Source: ESPN.com - James Walker

Miami Dolphins RBs Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake combined to average 5.18 yards per carry in a Week 9 loss to the Oakland Raiders, enough to make head coach Adam Gase optimistic about the the running game in general.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gase is just happy he has RBs that will listen to him, take their work home and study hard (cough, Jay Ajayi, cough). We'll see Drake continue as the lead back, and he's got RB2 upside in this role. Williams has flex appeal in PPR leagues because of his use as a receiver out of the backfield.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart receives vote of confidence

    Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart remains 'a big part of our identity' despite losing two fumbles for the first time in his career in Week 9, according to offensive coordinator Mike Shula.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This seems different from the 'dreaded vote of confidence' that some players get right before they get benched. Stewart doesn't have a history of fumbling (two fumbles lost in all of 2016), so the team should continue to use him as a primary ball carrier. Rookie Christian McCaffrey really isn't built to be a grinder between the tackles, so expect Stewart to maintain his standard role going forward so long as he hangs onto the rock.

DET - TE Eric Ebron doesn't start

    Source: MLive.com - Kyle Meinke

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron didn't start Monday, Nov. 6, for the first time this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darren Fells is getting more snaps than Ebron and now he's getting the starting nod. Ebron is not having a breakout year in 2017 as some expected. Instead, he can be dropped in all formats and even his dynasty stock is incredibly low. Ebron will always be remembered as the guy the Lions selected instead of Odell Beckham Jr. in the 2014 NFL draft.

SF - RB Carlos Hyde seeing high usage

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde has 59 carries for 173 yards and two touchdowns; with 23 catches for 180 yards on 35 targets the last five games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hyde is set to be a free agent next year, so he's auditioning for 31 other teams and doing a fine job of showcasing his ability. In the Shanahan offense, Hyde is a RB2 with RB1 upside for fantasy owners each week.

MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon thriving

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon has 60 carries for 261 yards and three rushing touchdowns; with 20 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown in the last four games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McKinnon took over in the backfield once rookie RB Dalvin Cook was hurt and done for the year. His ability as a receiver makes him a standout player for fantasy owners in PPR leagues. We should see him continue as the lead back for the Vikings with Latavius Murray working primarily as a backup.

IND - Rift brewing with Irsay and QB Andrew Luck?

    Source: WTHR.com - Bob Kravitz

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) could have a rift brewing with owner Jim Irsay, in the opinion of WTHR.com's Bob Kravitz. Former Colts head coach Tony Dungy told Dan Patrick during a commercial cut-in of his radio show that Irsay told him what he believes holding Luck back is more mental than it is physical. Dungy followed up with Irsay told him six weeks ago that the injury is in Luck's head now. Patrick brought up the fact that Irsay expected Luck back at the start of the season or early in the season, Dungy replied: 'They obviously believed it because they did nothing to prepare for him not being there.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like there's always something brewing between the Irsay family and Colts quarterbacks (see John Elway and Peyton Manning). Luck should have been back by now, but a setback to the shoulder injury caused him to be shut down for the year. If Luck is right post-injury, he can still be a top-10 quarterback in the NFL and for fantasy owners. Whether or not he's staying with the Colts makes for great sports talk radio.

while I fully agree the NFL owners nothing but blood sucking, greedy, miserable pos that do anything for a buck. Not so sure that was the case in that decision, even if it was it was much more likely concern for the optics of making them play than the home revenue steam.

    Thursday Update

GB - TE Martellus Bennett released

    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Green Bay Packers TE Martellus Bennett was cut Wednesday, Nov. 8, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers have paid him $8 million so far in his 3-year contract, but by declaring him 'failed to disclose a medical condition' they could go after some of that money. Bennett has previously stated that he wants to retire after this year. He's now exposed to the waiver process and there might be enough interest to get him on another team before the season is over.

GB - Green Bay to stick with RBBC?

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy reportedly liked the rotation of RBs Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery in Week 9 versus the Detroit Lions and intends to stick with a committee approach, with Montgomery handling third-down work.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's not great news for either back. Jones is the starter and the lead back who should get the most carries on a weekly basis. Montgomery, the converted WR, will continue as the primary receiving back. Jones has RB2 value in this situation while Montgomery should produce more like a RB4 or deep flex play.

ATL - WR Julio Jones does not practice Wednesday

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (leg) did not practice with the team Wednesday, Nov. 8, but he did participate in the walk-through portion.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's the middle of the week, so this is just a day of rest for Jones. Monitor his practice status (as always) just to make sure he's on the right trajectory on Friday.

DAL - No practice for WR Dez Bryant on Wednesday

    Source: DallasCowboys.com - David Helman

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With a couple of nagging injuries, Bryant is going to get all the rest he can. At this point, Bryant's playing status for Week 10 is up in the air. Fantasy owners need to add WR Terrance Williams and stash him in case Bryant misses time or is not quite himself.

BUF - TE Charles Clay gets in limited practice

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) was able to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay hasn't been on the field since Week 5 against the Bengals. If healthy, this week at home against the Saints we could see Clay as a major part of the gameplan. It will be interesting to see how new WR Kelvin Benjamin impacts the targets for the Bills receivers -- including Clay.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater activated

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bridgewater is back in action, but he's only just a backup behind Case Keenum at this time. If Keenum struggles, then we should see Bridgewater inserted as the starter. QB Sam Bradford (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with Bridgewater activated.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte does not practice

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This could just be a day of rest for Forte. He's been looking good as of late, so make sure to check back later in the week to see if he practices.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill a no-go to begin the week

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.
Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bengals need to stop messing around with any sort of RBBC and just see what rookie RB Joe Mixon can do with a true featured role. With Hill banged up (and with no reason to rush him back), we may just see Mixon continue to get more snaps each week.

Watch Freeman as the week of practice goes on. The knee injury is considered minor, but Freeman has also been playing through a shoulder stinger in 2017. With Freeman a bit banged up, we could continue to see more opportunities for Tevin Coleman.

SEA - RB C.J. Prosise should play

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's cool, but the Seattle backfield hasn't exactly been churning out a ton of fantasy points. Prosise is a dangerous receiving back, and in PPR leagues there's a chance he could be a weekly option as a flex play. We'll wait and see, but grab him and stash him in PPR formats if you can just in case.

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like he's a lock to play on Thursday night against the Cardinals. Fantasy owners should be considering him as a flex.

SEA - TE Jimmy Graham not on injury report

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good to go for Graham in Week 10. Expect TE1 numbers from Graham on Thursday Night Football against the Cardinals.

SEA - Questionable tag for WR Paul Richardson

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He should play against the Cardinals on Thursday, but Richardson might be limited. Since he's banged up, consider Richardson more of a deep flex in Week 10.

WAS - TE Vernon Davis limited in practice

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (hand) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll have to see what Jordan Reed's status is like at the end of the week. If Reed is going to miss more time, then Davis could post low-end TE1 numbers on Sunday against the Vikings. If Reed plays, then Davis will split time as more of the backup player in that scenario and that obviously negatively impacts his fantasy value.

TEN - More snaps for WR Corey Davis

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis is expected to see his snap count increase going forward now that he is healthy, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Upon his return in Week 9, Davis played 39 snaps against the Ravens. His season high (in three games) was 42 snaps in Week 1 against the Raiders. Fantasy owners should check to see if Davis is on the waiver wire.

NE - WR Chris Hogan sidelined Wednesday

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) missed practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hogan's status for Sunday night is up in the air. Make other plans at the WR position if you can. We'll have to see him practice full on Friday to have confidence that he's going to suit up against the Broncos in Week 10.

NO - WR Michael Thomas limited in practice

    Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas should be able to play against the Bills on Sunday. Even though it's been a month since his last TD scored, Thomas is a set-it-and-forget-it WR1 for fantasy owners each week.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas absent from practice

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Thomas just isn't the same player he used to be. It's clear that he's lost a step, even though the Broncos want to use him more in the passing game. Fantasy owners need to adjust expectations going forward, especially with the Broncos making a QB change from Trevor Siemian to Brock Osweiler....and a change to 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch likely on the horizon.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder limited Wednesday

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) took part in individual drills Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Crowder missed last week's game for Washington, but signs are pointing to him returning to the field in Week 10. If healthy, Crowder has flex appeal at home against the Vikings on Sunday.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed gets in individual work Wednesday

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) took part in individual drills Wednesday, Nov. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good sign for Reed, but there's no clarity on his playing status for Week 10. Check back later in the week to see if Reed is a full participant before expecting him to play on Sunday against the Vikings.

    Friday Update

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott suspension upheld

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott's stay on his pending suspension was lifted Thursday, Nov. 6. He will begin serving his six-game suspension this week. Thus, he will not be able to return until Week 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Alfred Morris, Darren McFadden and Rod Smith will all get some work, but we'll have to see how it shakes out to be sure. We think Morris will get most of the carries and likely produce enough to be a solid flex play at the very least. McFadden and Smith, however, are a bit less reliable and while you can plug them in for the same purpose, their floor is a bit lower.

DAL - RB Alfred Morris expected to start

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys RB Alfred Morris is expected to be the starting running back against Atlanta Falcons in Week 10 because of RB Ezekiel Elliott's suspension. RB Rod Smith would serve as the No. 2 running back and be a significant part of the game plan. RB Darren McFadden could be active as the No. 3 running back.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
While Morris is going to get the lead back slot, there's enough buzz around Darren McFadden and Rod Smith to make us leery of investing too much in Morris too soon. More than likely, we will need to see how this shakes out over the next couple of weeks. Morris is your best bet right now, but more as a flex or an RB3.

NE - TE Martellus Bennett claimed by Patriots

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Former Green Bay Packers TE Martellus Bennett was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots Thursday, Nov. 9, according to a source.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bennett did pretty well for himself, and the Patriots, last time he was in New England. It may take a week or two for him to get fully involved in the offense though. He's battling a shoulder injury, so his Week 10 status for the Sunday night game against the Broncos is unknown at this time.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas returns to practice

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Nov. 9.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Brock Osweiler returning to the fold may not be the long-term solution - or even a good one - but it should be an improvement over Trevor Simeon. That's why we like Thomas as a WR1 play this week against a New England defense that has not really been successful against the pass.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders logs full practice

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 9, one day after he was a limited participant.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We will watch this on Friday to see if he gets a second full day in, but right now he's still a WR4.

JAX - WR Marqise Lee limited Thursday

    Source: NFL

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee has been nice and consistent the last three games. And while this is a tough matchup, he still could be good for a solid WR3/flex play

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson sits out practice Thursday

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle, illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Much like a lot of the Broncos offense right now, Anderson has not been very good. Really nobody in the backfield is worth a start even against a shaky defense like New England. Devontae Booker strikes us as a slightly better play, and that's as more of an RB4 play.

CIN - WR Brandon LaFell limited in practice again

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Nov. 9.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lafell hasn't been much of a factor this year, and if it's not a guy named AJ Green, there's really no Bengals receiver you want in your lineup this weekend.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill misses practice again

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Joe Mixon will be the starter here, and should be a solid RB2 play even against a decent Tennessee defense.

HOU - WR Will Fuller takes part in practice

    Source: NFL

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Rams are a tough matchup to begin with this season, and you add into it the fact that DeShaun Watson is injured and Tom Savage is passing the ball, and it's just a bad combination for Will Fuller. Fuller had been a very nice play most weeks, but Savage just isn't able to get him the ball in the same way that Watson was. He is a WR 5 this week due to matchup and quarterback issues.

NE - WR Danny Amendola has another limited practice

    Source: NFLMedia.com

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't know if Amendola is going to be ready enough to play, we're really how much of a role he might have. On top of that while Denver's offense may seem like trash, its defense is still largely a treasure. This is a tough matchup, and we would have Lloyd Amendola especially coming off injury with so many limited practices.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant expects to play Week 10

Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle, knee) said 'at the end of the day, (you all) know I'm going to play,' regarding his status for the team's Week 10 game Sunday, Nov. 12, against the Atlanta Falcons.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This hasn't been Bryant's season really, and that's not just because of injuries. If he plays and he's hurt, he won't be much help to the Cowboys or your fantasy teams. We think that Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley will be better plays this weekend.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater takes part in practice

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Case Keenum will still get the start, and Bridgewater may not even dress for Sunday. But it's a good sign. we still need to see him on the field in an actual game before we start getting excited about him playing, but it will be nice for the Vikings to have their potential future quarterback back under Center.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs limited Thursday

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (tooth) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Tooth issue or not, digs will be playing this weekend and we think he is a very solid play in both redraft and daily fantasy formats. His upside is WR1, his floor is WR2.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz listed as limited

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 9.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's not a big deal, especially given the Eagles are on a bye this week. So we will watch next week to make sure he's healthy.

ATL - No practice for WR Julio Jones

    Source: The Dallas Morning News

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones had a good day, that should have been a great day during the last game. He also got banged up again. He's still a top 10 fantasy wide receiver, but isn't one of the best of the best this season. On the other hand he's always capable of a huge day so you're never going to worry about having him in your lineup because 9 times out of 10 it will work out.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton limited Thursday

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton really is a top-shelf wide receiver, trapped in a really poor offense. So instead of being a great fantasy receiver, he's no more than a TE4 until that changes.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay limited again

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tennessee Titans WR Eric Decker (illness) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 9.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (ankle) was not able to practice for a second straight day Thursday, Nov. 9.

If Walker can play - and we're worried that he won't - he could be a top TE1 option. With a little luck, he practices tomorrow, but if he doesn't you need a different option.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart takes part in practice

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (toe) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Devonta Freeman should be fine for Sunday's game against Dallas, and we expect him to have a very productive day. We think he could put up really good RB2 numbers this week.

MIA - RB Damien Williams out of practice

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) is out of practice Thursday, Nov. 9, due to illness.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams is a decent back but made his points on receptions and a touchdown reception. That's going to be a little hit or miss given how hit or miss the offense is for Miami, but he could be a solid flex play especially since they can be stout against the run.

Seattle is most successful when they play hurry up/no huddle, they can cover up a lot of their flaws if they played that the whole game. Why not let your best players run the offense rather than force a run game with mediocre running back and lousy offensive line.

    Saturday Update

NE - TE Martellus Bennett has torn rotator cuff

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder) was cut by the Green Bay Packers because of a torn rotator cuff, according to sources. He could try to play through it or could land on Injured Reserve.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots claiming Bennett also helped their compensatory pick calculation. They might also see a chance for him to play in a limited fashion, but he won't have fantasy value unless Rob Gronkowski gets hurt. He is at practice, so it looks like the Patriots will get him on the field soon.

SF - C.J. Beathard to start Week 10

    Source: 49ers.com
San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard will start in Week 10 against the New York Giants, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Friday, Nov. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jimmy Garoppolo could start in Week 12 after the team's bye next week. The 49ers might want to protect their investment by not starting Garoppolo in one of the worst offenses in the league, but they should also want to see what they have before paying him for the long term. They probably already have made up their minds to give Garoppolo a long term deal at market value, so the need to see him play this year might not be a consideration.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill to miss game

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and has been ruled out for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Joe Mixon will get most of the work in the backfield against Tennessee this week, but that has only proven to be worth a low ceiling flex play behind the subpar Bengals offensive line.

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee, ankle) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and he is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant has assured us that he will play, although we can't be sure of how effective he'll be. He's in an afternoon game, so make sure you have a hedge on your bench just in case he is inactive. Consider him a boom/bust WR2/WR3/Flex this week against Atlanta.

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 10. He is officially listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Amendola can play Sunday night, he'll be a low end PPR WR3/Flex with the potential for extra targets offset by a tough matchup against Chris Harris.

WAS - TE Vernon Davis ready to play

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Davis is a viable low-end TE1 as long as Jordan Reed is out this week. Check back on Sunday morning.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton listed as questionable

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton was already a dicey week to week start when he wasn't facing one of the worst teams in the league or the Texans. This issue should be enough to make you bench him against the Steelers.

JAX - Questionable tag for WR Marqise Lee

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee has actually performed well when he has been questionable. He could draw Casey Hayward at times, but Lee is worth a look as a WR3/Flex if bye weeks or injuries have thinned your receivers.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay listed as questionable

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
TJ Jones is likely to be the #3 receiver this week. Even if Golladay is active, he has been out for over a month and will be eased back in.

HOU - TE C.J. Fiedorowicz ready to roll

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Nov. 10. TE Ryan Griffin (concussion) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list due to a concussion in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fiedorowicz is a viable desperation play. He should assume his old role right away. While Tom Savage is not an effective quarterback, he could lean on Fiedorowicz as a short and intermediate target in the middle of the field.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed 50-50 for Week 10

Source: The Washington Post - Master Tesfatsion
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable on the injury report in advance of the team's game versus the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Reed is less likely to play than Jamison Crowder. If he does play, it takes some luster off of Vernon Davis as a potential fantasy starter this week.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder listed as questionable

Source: The Washington Post - Master Tesfatsion
Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is listed as questionable on the injury report in advance of the team's game versus the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder is expected to play, but check back on Sunday just in case. He's a low ceiling WR3/Flex for PPR leagues this week.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders still questionable

Source: The Denver Post - Nicki Jhabvala
Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report in advance of the team's game versus the New England Patriots in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Sanders should play, but between Brock Osweiler and the evidence that he's not 100%, he's only a fringe WR3/Flex candidate this week.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker expected to play

    Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (ankle) is listed as questionable on the Week 10 injury report but is likely to play versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Walker played well through his injury last week and should be fine in your lineup as a TE1 this week.

NE - WR Danny Amendola primed for bigger role?

    Source: NESN.com - Doug Kyed
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola should 'receive the biggest boost in targets and receptions' while Chris Hogan (shoulder) sits out due to a shoulder injury, according to NESN's Doug Kyed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Amendola is a reliable short-range option for Tom Brady, but he'll be a much better play next week against Oakland than he'll be against Chris Harris in the slot against Denver this week.

ATL - WR Julio Jones at practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) is on the practice field Friday, Nov. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is very likely to play against Dallas, start him as you normally would this week.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte out of practice Friday

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) is out of practice Friday, Nov. 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bilal Powell is an RB1 this week and must play. Elijah McGuire is a viable flex play in a matchup the Jets should be competitive in, if not win at Tampa Bay.

SEA - RB Thomas Rawls saw 46 percent of snaps

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta
Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls played 29 snaps (46 percent of the offense) Thursday, Nov. 9, against the Arizona Cardinals.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rawls got most of his yards on one run. Left tackle Duane Brown's injury has dampened any enthusiasm about the Seahawks run game. He's not an essential hold in Week 11 waiver wire runs.

BUF - TE Charles Clay questionable

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Sal Capaccio

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) will be limited in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and he's questionable for Week 10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Clay is likely to play, but he'll also have Kelvin Benjamin added to the lineup to potentially take some targets away. He's still a solid TE1 for Week 10.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin played through injury

Source: The Tacoma News Tribune - Gregg Bell
Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) indicated he injured his groin during the pregame Thursday, Nov. 9, but played through the injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The mini-bye will help this calm down. If it was an issue to worry about going forward, it would have limited him more during the game.

Some of the schemes these teams play make you wonder how these coaches get a pay check.

Why did 49ers trade for Garappolo if they aren't going to play him?

    Sunday Morning Injury Updates

    QUARTERBACK

Teddy Bridgewater | Knee | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Full | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

Fourteen months after a knee dislocation necessitating a 9-1-1 call and reconstruction of multiple knee ligaments, Bridgewater returns to Minnesota's active gameday roster this week. He'll back up starter Case Keenum but he is ready to play if needed. Bridgewater told reporters he's confident in his recovery and has done everything necessary in practice to be ready for live game action. It's an inspiring and impressive recovery from a career-threatening injury.

    Others of note:
Cam Newton (shoulder), Jay Cutler (ribs), and Blake Bortles (chest) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Jameis Winston (shoulder) has been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    RUNNING BACK

Devonta Freeman | Knee | Not listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

After a cryptic Monday press conference during which Dan Quinn told reporters Freeman would be limited in practice but wouldn't say why, Freeman fully practiced on Thursday and Friday and is not listed on Atlanta's game status report. This is the second consecutive week Freeman has been limited by injury but cleared for a full return by game day. His snap counts and usage have been very consistent since the Falcons' Week 5 bye -- 40-45 snaps, 10-12 rushes, 3-5 targets per game. Expect that snap percentage and workload to continue this week.

    C.J. Anderson
    | Ankle / Illness | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Full

Anderson missed Thursday's practice due to illness but was back to a full practice on Friday. The full Friday practice is a strong indication Anderson's ankle injury will not significantly limit his this week. Anderson's usage has been inconsistent recently, however, and it's not clear whether the Broncos will trust him with more than 10-15 touches even if he's fully recovered from last week's ankle sprain.

    Damien Williams
    | Illness | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP | Sat - Full

Williams told reporters he felt much better after Saturday's practice. The Dolphins list him questionable but expect him to play.

Others of note: Jonathan Stewart (toe) have practiced, is not listed on the game status report, and is expected to play without limitation. Matt Forte (knee) and Jeremy Hill (ankle) has been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    WIDE RECEIVER

Dez Bryant | Knee / Ankle | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

Bryant plans to play through a minor knee contusion and low-grade high ankle sprain. He told reporters on Thursday he expected to play and was able to participate in drills on Friday. Observers felt he was moving well in practice and Stephen Jones felt good about Bryant's availability when interviewed after practice. It's not clear whether Bryant may be limited. The public comments from Bryant and the team have remained positive since Monday's press conference. It's reasonable to assume Bryant plans to play his usual role. There will be a risk of aggravation during the game or some limitation in his play. I'll update with any overnight notes from Ian Rapoport or Adam Schefter.

***Sunday AM Update: Both Schefter and Rapoport report Bryant is expected to play.

    Julio Jones
    | Ankle | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

Jones returned to practice on Friday. Although he was listed as limited, he was observed to be moving without difficulty and Dan Quinn said he looked explosive in his route-running. Jones was certain he'd play earlier in the week and the Falcons removed any lingering doubt about his availability by removing Jones from the game status report. Jones will be at risk of aggravation or compensatory injury this week but his ceiling expectation is always in play when he's not listed on the game status report.

    T.Y. Hilton
    | Groin | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Not Listed | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Hilton left practice on Thursday with a groin injury. Midweek muscle strains are always a difficult read, even when the team clears the player to return to practice the following day. It's difficult to know whether the injury was minor and unlikely to limit the player or the team is concerned about the player's availability and is looking to see how well the injury responds to a limited practice. Multiple Colts' beat writers expect Hilton to play but it's best to consider him a game-time decision until we know more. Look for a Schefter/Rapoport note in the early hours of Sunday morning for more detail.

***Sunday AM Update: Hilton is expected to play according to overnight reports. However, I'd still watch for news around pregame warmups to be certain.

    Michael Thomas
    | Ankle | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Not Listed

The Saints didn't list Thomas on either Friday report -- injury or game status -- and he's expected to play. Thomas said he has been "managing inflammation" his knee over the past 2-3 weeks but implied the limited practice reps during the week were not a major concern. It's reasonable to expect Thomas to see his usual snap count and workload.

    Emmanuel Sanders
    | Ankle | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

Sanders returned last week and played 29 of the team's 65 offensive snaps in the blowout loss to Philadelphia. Sanders was limping after his lone catch on five targets and limited in practice early this week. The Broncos listed Sanders questionable but the consecutive limited practices on Thursday and Friday suggest he'll play. However, he'll still be working through what was reportedly first expected to be a six-week recovery. It's possible Denver will continue to limit Sanders' snaps as they did last week.

    Marqise Lee
    | Knee | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Lee has been limited in practice for three weeks but continues to play through a knee injury. Lee is coming off his best game of the season and his Thursday practice was an upgrade from last week. He is expected to play this week and should see his usual workload.

    Danny Amendola
    | Knee | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Amendola played through his knee injury in Week 8 but remains limited in practice. Amendola has had only one week with more than 40 snaps but his target counts were consistently in 4-8 range. With Chris Hogan ruled out with a shoulder injury, Amendola will likely be asked to take a higher number of snaps this week.

    Jamison Crowder
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Crowder looked fluid in individual drills and told reporters throughout the week he was planning to play against Minnesota. Watch for unexpected news through Sunday morning but Crowder should return and see close to his usual workload.

    Kenny Golladay
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Golladay returned to a limited practice last Friday and has finally managed to string together a run of consecutive practices. The Lions rarely provide information about their injured players but beat writers tentatively expect Golladay to return. I'd be more confident in that assessment if Golladay had been cleared for a full practice. If Golladay is active, he'll likely see time in a limited number of packages.

    Others of note: Stefon Diggs
(tooth), Demaryius Thomas (hamstring), Eric Decker (illness), Will Fuller (knee), Curtis Samuel (ankle), and Brandon LaFell (hamstring), have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Chris Hogan (shoulder), Kamar Aiken (hamstring), and Trent Taylor (ribs) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    TIGHT END

Delanie Walker | Ankle | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

Walker was more effective than I expected last week after barely practicing for two weeks with a bone bruise near his ankle. The Titans again limited Walker in practice this week but have proven time and again they are willing to play veterans regardless of practice time. I expect Walker to play and likely see his usual workload -- but the Titans have a quick turnaround to a road Thursday night game in Pittsburgh. That may play into their decision-making with Walker this week.

***Sunday AM Update: Walker is expected to play today.

    Jordan Reed
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Likely Inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - DNP

Reed was back to practice on Wednesday and Thursday for individual drills but did not practice on Friday. Jay Gruden told reporters the team wanted to give him more rest and planned to continue evaluating his progress through the weekend. While that may prove true, it's still rare to see a player not practice at the end of the week and play. We should know more on Sunday morning but plan on Reed playing a limited role at best.

***Sunday AM Update: Not surprisingly, there were multiple overnight reports that Reed will be out today.

    Charles Clay
    | Knee | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Video on Clay last week showed he was still recovering from his knee injury. His straight-line speed looked to be close to form but there was no indication he was cleared to cut or for contact. Clay's multiple limited practices are reassuring and most team observers have expected him to return to play since watching Wednesday practice. He's listed questionable and the Bills haven't said anything about his availability yet. Watch the pregame inactives for clarity. If Clay is active, his role could be limited but expect him to see close to his usual targets.

***Sunday AM Update: Clay is expected to play today.

    Niles Paul
    | Concussion | Questionable | Likely inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

Paul admitted to amnesia of the hit that resulted in his concussion. That's often a symptom that leads to a longer recovery period. Paul was limited on Wednesday after not practicing last week but did not return to practice on Thursday or Friday. That's not the profile of a player who is expected to see the independent neurologist for clearance. Expect him to be inactive this week.

    Martellus Bennett
    | Shoulder | Questionable | Awaiting Information

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - FA | Fri - Limited

Bennett was released by the Packers, posted a scaldingly derisive opinion of his treatment by the Packers, signed with the Patriots, then practiced with New England on Friday after announcing he would have surgery on his shoulder earlier in the week. If Bennett has a torn rotator cuff as reported earlier this week, he may be able to play despite limited range of motion. It's not yet known whether the Patriots will clear him to play a limited role.

***Sunday AM Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted Bennett has "a shot" to play.

    Others of note
: Vernon Davis (hand) practiced, is not listed on the game status report, and is expected to play without limitation. George Kittle (ankle) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    DEFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES

    EDGE:

Everson Griffen did not practice much coming out of the Vikings' bye. He told reporters he was fine after suffering a foot injury late in the Week 8 game. The team expects him to play today.

Olivier Vernon may be back. The team's official Twitter account quoted Vernon as saying he "feels great" and looking forward to seeing "how Sunday goes." Vernon may see fewer than his usual number of snaps as the Giants get him back into football shape.

Ezekiel Ansah's designation changed this week. It's now a back injury limiting him. After not practicing this week, Ansah is doubtful and likely inactive.

    DEFENSIVE LINE:
Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy were both limited early this week but returned to fully practice. Despite the questionable tag, both are expected to play their usual number of snaps.
    LINEBACKER:
Denzel Perryman returns for the Chargers this week. He's practiced for two weeks and should be close to his pre-injury form.
B.J. Goodson, Devon Kennard, and Keenan Robinson are all out for the Giants. Jonathan Casillas and Calvin Munson are likely to play through their injuries.
Washington did not update Zach Brown's condition after a Thursday ankle injury limited his practice. I tentatively expect him to play but am awaiting any additional news.
    DEFENSIVE BACK:
Morgan Burnett is again inactive in Green Bay.
Kenny Vaccaro will not play today but continues to say his injury will not require a long absence. We'll see on that.

    Sunday Update

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater better than ever?

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is throwing the ball better than he was before his knee injury, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It would be great if Bridgewater can get back in the starting lineup and thrive with the Vikings. He's back this week, but it will be as a reserve behind Case Keenum. We'd have to see the Vikings struggle with Keenum as the starter before Bridgewater would get that top spot.

LAR - RB Lance Dunbar activated from PUP list

    Source: TheRams.com - Myles Simmons

Los Angeles Rams RB Lance Dunbar (knee) was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dunbar is back in action for the Rams, and he'll be the no2 RB for them behind superstar Todd Gurley. We could see Dunbar mixed in as a change-of-pace back when Gurley needs a breather.

JAX - WR Dede Westbrook still not added to roster

    Source: FirstCoastNews.com - Mike Kaye

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) was not activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Nov. 11, and will not play in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jaguars have one more week to decide whether they will add Westbrook to their roster or keep him on the Reserve/Injured list for the rest of the season. He's a big play waiting to happen, and we appreciate the upside he could bring to the offense in Jacksonville.

IND - QB Andrew Luck seeking treatment in Europe

Source: ESPN - Mike Wells and Chris Mortensen

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) has traveled to Europe in order to seek treatment on his surgically repaired shoulder, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This sounds like a stem-cell procedure, although the true nature of the treatment is unknown. Luck was supposed to be back in action already, but a setback earlier this season knocked him out for the year. With treatment (and avoiding surgery), Luck should be ready for 2018.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart will be in uniform

    Source: NFL

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (toe) fully participate in practice Saturday, Nov. 11, and is not on the injury report for Week 10. The Panthers did not hold a practice Saturday, so his practice designation is an estimation.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stewart played a season-low 21 snaps against the Falcons in Week 9. He also fumbled twice in that game, so don't be surprised if we see a bit more of Christian McCaffrey toting the rock.

MIA - RB Damien Williams listed as questionable

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams (illness) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 11, but is listed as questionable for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams is not a great runner but he can make plays as a receiver out of the backfield. We'll see Kenyan Drake as the lead back with Williams serving as a change-of-pace threat.

ARI - Arizona to add QB Matt Barkley

    Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen

Free-agent QB Matt Barkley (49ers) will be signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals need Barkley as a reserve passer behind Blaine Gabbert. We could see Gabbert as the team's starter if Drew Stanton (knee) misses time.

ARI - QB Drew Stanton could miss time

    Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton (knee) suffered a sprained knee during the team's Week 10 game and could miss a week or two, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

QB Blaine Gabbert will start Week 11 if Stanton remains sidelined. We don't think the difference between Stanton and Gabbert is that wide.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill placed on IR

    Source: Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Nov. 11.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hill only logged 37 carries in seven games during the 2017 season. He wasn't doing much anyway as this ankle problem bothered him. Without Hill, the Bengals will just turn to more of rookie RB Joe Mixon.

NO - WR Michael Thomas removed from injury report

    Source: NFL.com

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) no longer appears on the injury report for Week 10's game versus the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas logged a full practice for the Saints on Friday. He should produce like a mid-range WR1 against the Bills in Week 10.

HOU - QB Tom Savage better prepared

    Source: HoustonTexans.com - Drew Dougherty

Houston Texans QB Tom Savage had a full week to practice with the first-team offense ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, and head coach Bill O'Brien said it is a 'big deal' for Savage to have that practice time under his belt.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Savage might be better prepared but it doesn't mean it will make him any good. The Texans offense just isn't as appealing as they were with rookie QB Deshaun Watson under center.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant moving well

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Brandon George
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle, knee) was moving well during practice Friday, Nov. 10, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant has a couple of injuries to watch for moving forward. He should play, but he's clearly not at 100 percent. He's a WR1 against the Falcons on Sunday in what could be a high-scoring game. With Bryant a little banged up, the Cowboys may have a few more targets for WRs like Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley.

NYJ - Extended absence for RB Matt Forte?

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Matt Forte's (knee) knee injury is creating concern that it could keep him sidelined beyond Week 10, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds like this injury is going to keep him out for some time. Forte has been dealing with swelling in the knee and it's been getting worse. Bilal Powell is the Jets lead back now (again), and rookie Eli McGuire will serve as a change-of-pace back.
