What tools do you use for FANTASY FOOTBALL??

JJ loves fantasy threads, trying to up my POTM ranking here. Race to the finish

So, I am doubting whether draft software really helps because of the inability to predict injuries, as a wise poster told me.

But are there other tools you guys like to use during the season? Or do you like the draft softwares that you enter your league's scoring info into and it customizes draft priority for your specific league?

Where do you get your info?

If you are picking a quarterback wide receiver or running back for the week in the NFL check the sportsbooks over/under game totals. You want a game total with a high number. Some people think its easy just picking the obvious like tom brady but thats not true. It depends on what defense brady is playing against that week. I hope that helps.

Football Guys, pay 44 bucks for the year. But I use it for DFS also. If your just using it for leagues its cheaper.

For free you can listen to podcasts. The ones for DFS I find to more helpful for any given week. The season long ones are helpful for Wavier claims, trades, who to start.

The podcasts I like are Football Guys, Rotogrinders, 4 for 4 Most Accurate Podcast, Fantasy Insiders, RotoViz, Harris Fantasy Football. Here are a few sites were you can find them. Most have their own YouTube channel as well.

    https://player.fm/featured/fantasy-american-football

    http://podbay.fm/browse/sports-and-recreation

    https://www.youtube.com/user/grinderslive/videos

If you need help with something just ask. GL

Podcast run all week long & Sunday morning. You can watch live shows on Rotogrinders just about every night & Sunday morning. Or just catch the replay.

All the experts circle the same general group of predictions. Best bet is to digest as much info as ur comfortable with and filter out based on personal preference

The best case scenarios and predictions will put players in a situation with opportunity such as playing time, carries, targets, etc but luck has always been the determining factor in production

At the end of the day I'd rather win or lose with picks that I made and prefer rather than someone else

If u lead enough horses to water hopefully the majority drink

You only need one tool this year fellas. David Johnson. No need to even start the other players.

Guy going to give you at least 3 if not 4 TD's a game. Can't stop him.

I subscribed to Football Guys and have been messing around with the Draft Dominator for about a week-- their rankings are waaay off of ADP. The teams I have mock drafted using their rankings look shitty as hell.

I haven't looked into much else on their site so far but based on this, I feel like I wasted my money. It seems like they like a bunch of longshots on shitty teams.

Does anybody else feel this way? I read somewhere that their info was a lot better in the past and that they've slipped the past couple/few years.

The Football Guys site has there own ADP Top 300.

Also when you go into the Draft Dominator. Click on file, then click on Get Latest Projections. Did you do this?

Also don't forget to join the Subscriber Contest. Free to play with cash prizes. Its like a Best Ball Format.

I Google search fantasy football. Read the posts. If the post enlightens me to something new I do due diligence on unknowns.

I like footballguys draft dominator draft app for value based drafting, but still go with my gut if I don't agree with app. Use it as tool not the law.

There's a lot of regurgitated crap on the internet, but when you find the diamond in the rough it totallly makes it worth.

The draft dominator app is based on value based drafting. Which I'm sure to bastardize is pick players based on what they could and/or should be and maximizing your total team score based on this projection. So if you're looking for name recognition your not gonna like it. And even horrible teams score points and get yardage. It may not be sexy or someone you brag about drafting. Like I said I get to a certain point where I ignore them. And only go back to them for guidance, but still mostly end up doing my own thing. It's like most things you gotta find a balance of use between them and yourself. At the end of the day there just a another group of sports obsessed blowhards who are wrong more times than right. Not a knock on footballguys, just a sports opinion thing in general with me included. We all have opinions that bias our decision, just some people are paid for it. Doesn't mean there opinions are right just that they are paid for it.

That being said I still like footballguys if nothing else another layer of information for making decisions.

My own spreadhseet organized by position/tier.

Color code specific targets according to round.

I find that draft strategy, preparation, and taking part in many mock drafts results in the best return.
