MIA - WR DeVante Parker has solid game

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker caught four passes for 55 yards in the Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A first-round pick in 2015, Parker built off what he flashed during his rookie season. He finished 2016 with 56 catches, 744 receiving yards and four touchdowns. As head coach Adam Gase continues to build that team, Parker should see his role continue to increase. We'll see if he can take another step forward in 2017.

A two-year defensive coordinator with Seattle (after working as a DB coach), Richard's interest makes sense with the production of the Seahawks defense.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (thumb) will undergo surgery this offseason to repair a ligament in his thumb, but it should not affect his availability for next season.

LaFell is set to be a free agent in March. This surgery shouldn't keep interested teams away from the veteran, but we can't imagine the market being white hot for his services. Instead, a return to the Bengals may be likely. LaFell had 64 catches for 862 yards and six touchdowns in his first year with the Bengals in 2016.

The Denver Broncos are scheduled to interview Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph for their head coaching vacancy this week.

Joseph may be the frontrunner for the Broncos job. He's known as a charismatic leader in the mold of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. The Broncos have already interviewed Dave Toub (Chiefs special teams coach) and Kyle Shanahan (Falcons offensive coordinator) for the job, but will wait to make a decision until Joseph interviews.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars interim head coach Doug Marrone was officially named the Jaguars' permanent head coach Monday, Jan. 9.

Marrone failed as the head coach of the Bills in 2013 and 2014, but he did a good job in two games as interim coach of the Jaguars in 2016. Trubisky is going to be a first-round pick, and there's a chance he goes off the board in the top 10 of the 2017 NFL draft. Often late to respond to pressure, Trubisky doesn't have the arm to just sling passes into tight spots.

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) had his left wrist in a hard cast Monday, Jan. 9, but he said he hasn't had surgery on it.

Riddick was a PPR flex play when healthy, but he only played in 10 games this season. He finished the season on Injured Reserve and missed the Lions postseason run. Riddick had 357 yards rushing this year, one rushing touchdown along with 371 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. A free agent in 2017, it will be interesting to see if the Lions make a move to keep Riddick on the team.

Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Eagles) signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Chicago Bears Tuesday, Jan. 10.

There's a chance he could find a spot with the Bears, but he didn't do anything to impress a WR-needy Eagles team in 2016 training camp.

Don't be surprised if a team like Baltimore shows some interest in Garcon on the open market.
