Good to hear, now it would be nice to get some legalization on poker in the U.S.

That's exactly what the NY state legislature would have you believe.

And then you play under their rules.

They got to get a piece of the action. If they make it illegal then the money just leaves the country

"The bill also requires operators to pay a 15% tax on gross revenue made from interactive sports contests in NY, which will go to the state lottery fund for education."

    Unreal.

    Good luck with that.

Agreed, but it's fun to throw in a lotto ticket or two in the big tournaments. Glad NYC can participate

Why not do both? Actually easier to win money in fantasy and there are plenty of high stakes games available. I intend to do a couple of 250s and one 500 buy-in this year.

Vice World of Sports episode said 91% of profits in fantasy are won by only 1.3% of the players.

PA is passing a similar law. They are also allowing video slot type gaming in clubs and restaurants.
    While taxing heavily. (sin tax)

All I know is that a 15% tax on gross revenue is massive takeout before DK or FD even get their slice of the pie. Actual players left fighting for scraps. Makes the horsetrack a value play by comparison.
