NFL Player News - Week 10

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

NE - RB Dion Lewis placed on IR

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 9. Lewis is out for the year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rough way for Lewis to end his season. When he returns, Lewis could compete as a reserve runner for the Patriots. His status for the start of next year is in question as he'll have only about 10 months to heal before training camp starts. Lewis is under contract through 2017, and he's got a $1 million cap number (with only $400,000 in dead money) in 2016.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick could have surgery soon

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb) could have surgery but 'may not be out' for the following game against the Houston Texans, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jets play on Thursday night, so Fitzpatrick would have 10 days to rest before playing against the Texans in Week 11. Reports indicate this injury could take three months to fully recover from. Fitzpatrick should be able to play through this recovery with a brace similar to the one he wore in Week 9 against the Jaguars.

NE - RB James White to replace RB Dion Lewis?

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RB James White is the top candidate to replace RB Dion Lewis (knee) as the Patriots' passing down running back, according to ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss. RB Brandon Bolden will also be in the mix, and played well replacing Lewis in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

White has been a player who has impressed in training camp, but he's never translated that to the field in the regular season. Bolden is the asset to add here off the waiver wire, but in deeper leagues White is worth a speculative stash.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy may not miss game

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (groin) suffered a pulled groin Sunday, Nov. 8, against the Carolina Panthers, but may still be able to play in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners just aren't going to trust Lacy as he's getting banged up and he's inconsistent. James Starks will take on a larger role if he's the "hot hand" in any given week.

CHI - RB Matt Forte not likely for Week 10

Source: Chicago Tribune - Rich Campbell

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) is already out for Week 9, but his status is in doubt for Week 10 as well. Forte did receive a platelet-rich plasma injection in his injured knee in order to aid the healing process, however.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That means we should see more from rookie Jeremy Langford going into Week 10. The Bears play on the road against the Rams next week. We'll see if Forte can return for a home tilt against the Broncos in Week 11.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater should play

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) should be able to play in Week 10 after passing his first test in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seeing Bridgewater lay on the field was a scary sight. It sounds like he's going to be okay after taking a vicious hit.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins limited

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (ankle) was limited during practice Monday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills have a short week as they play against the Jets on Thursday night. Expect Watkins to be limited all week during practice with the hopes that he'll be available in Week 10.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy misses practice

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) did not participate in practice Monday, Nov. 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy may want to play, but this is a short week for the Bills as they play against the Jets on Thursday night. We could see Karlos Williams as the team's starter while McCoy is banged up. Against a tough Jets rush defense, we'd recommend Williams as a RB2 if he's the starter.

STL - WR Wes Welker joins St. Louis

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent WR Wes Welker (Broncos) agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the St. Louis Rams Monday, Nov. 9, according to sources. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Stedman Bailey suspended four games, the Rams needed to add wide receiver talent. Welker is super quick, and he can work the underneath routes. However, concussions have become a serious problem for him and we'll have to see if he can stand up to the NFL beating anymore.

BAL - Coach hopes WR Breshad Perriman will return

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman's (knee) status is expected to be updated in the near future but the team hopes he will be able to play in the final four games of the season, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We appreciate the rookie's natural skill set, but this season has been a wash so far. When he's healthy enough to play, then we'll get excited about his prospects.

BAL - TE Dennis Pitta could play

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta (hip) has been performing well during practice and is expected to play this season if he is healthy, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Most thought this hip injury would be career-threatening, so we're impressed to see Pitta even have a chance to return. The team has until Wednesday, Nov. 11, to decide if he will be activated or stay on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

NE - Pats backfield to remain committee approach

    Source: NFL.com - Chris Wesseling

New England Patriots RB LeGarrett Blount's role will certainly increase with RB Dion Lewis (knee) out for the year, but the Patriots will remain a committee attack based on matchups and game situations. RB Brandon Bolden took over the pass-catching duties when Lewis was hurt in Week 9, but RB James White is closer to replicating Lewis' role when the game calls for an up-tempo attack. White was a healthy scratch in Week 9. White played 43 snaps to RB LeGarrette Blount's eight and Bolden's zero in Week 7 when Lewis was hurt.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Zero surprise here. The Patriots are going into each week with a unique gameplan. Some weeks, Blount will be the battering ram who gets the most fantasy points. Other times, the team could turn to change-of-pace guys like White or Bolden. Moving forward without Lewis, we see Blount as a RB2 and the other two backs are more of "what the heck" flex plays until we see a pecking order established behind Blount.

IND - TE Dwayne Allen has sore eye

Source: USA TODAY Sports - Tom Pelissero

Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen (eye) is dealing with a sore eye after being poked by Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We respect Talib as an elite-level corner, but that was a punk move in the heat of the moment. Talib is currently appealing the one-game suspension the league has put on him after this incident.

STL - WR Stedman Bailey suspended

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

St. Louis Rams WR Stedman Bailey is being suspended four games for violating the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The infraction was due to marijuana use and Bailey withdrew his appeal Monday, Nov. 9. This won't impact fantasy owners whatsoever.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns in walking boot

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (foot) was in a walking boot on his left foot Monday, Nov. 9, and he apparently suffered a sprain on the final interception of the game in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this situation. The Jaguars play at Baltimore on Sunday. See if Hurns can get out to practice at some point this week.

PHI - WR Nelson Agholor not rushing back

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) is not being rushed back with an ankle injury despite practicing every day last week. Head coach Chip Kelly said he didn't want to put Agholor in harm's way, which is why he was inactive in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners have long moved on from Agholor. The rookie is an intriguing dynasty prospect, but that's about it. His value in redraft leagues is non-existent. We'll see if he can perform better when he's actually healthy enough to play.

OAK - RB Latavius Murray in protocol
Source: San Francisco Chronicle - Vic Tafur
Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after a helmet-to-helmet hit Sunday, Nov. 8.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Murray was forced from the game against the Steelers after a hit from safety Mike Mitchell. He'll have to go through the concussion protocol before he can return to action. In the meantime, the Raiders could turn to guys like Marcel Reece or Jamize Olawale for more work. Even Taiwan Jones and Roy Helu could get expanded playing time if Murray is out for the next game against the Vikings.

    Thursday Update

ARI - WR John Brown limited Wednesday

    Source: NFL

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It would have been more comforting to see Brown a full participant coming off of his bye week, but the good news that he has already shown us that he can play well through this injury.

GB - RB James Starks given the reins

Source: Wisconsin State Journal - Tom Oates

Green Bay Packers RB James Starks was named the lead running back over RB Eddie Lacy (groin), according to head coach Mike McCarthy. 'I would say James Starks is our No. 1 back right now,' McCarthy said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Starks belongs in your lineup as a solid RB2 with upside, while Lacy is on our benches until he proves he deserves a spot in fantasy lineups. If the two keep playing the way they have the last few weeks, Starks will keep this job.

IND - QB Andrew Luck expected out a month

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (kidney, abdominal) is expected to miss at least a month, realistically, with a lacerated kidney and abdominal muscle injury, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck can still help us in the fantasy playoffs, so don't drop him or players like Donte Moncrief just yet.

DEN - QB Manning Dealing With Foot Soreness

Source: Cameron Wolfe - Denver Post

Quarterback Peyton Manning sat out Wednesday's Broncos' practice, but not just for his typical rest day. He has a foot injury that coach Gary Kubiak said Manning's been dealing with for a while.

    He considers Manning day-to-day and hopes he will be able to practice Thursday. "It's real sore coming off the turf. It's been really sore for a couple weeks now," Kubiak said about Manning's foot. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manning downplayed the injury saying everyone is sore at this point in the season. But we'll keep an eye on this one.

CHI - RB Matt Forte likely out again

    Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Adam L. Jahns

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) is not expected to play in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams despite being limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. Head coach John Fox said Forte is day-to-day and continues to be evaluated. RB Jeremy Langford had 142 yards of total offense in Week 9 against the San Diego Chargers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Langford has a tough matchup this week, but he has earned RB2 status for the game at St. Louis.

TEN - RB David Cobb's workload unknown

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) was activated from the short-term Reserve/Injured list this week, but interim head coach Mike Mularkey is unsure how much Cobb might play moving forward. Cobb has battled weight issues recently, but he said that he's down to 225 pounds. With Cobb back on the roster, Mularkey left open the possibility that RB Bishop Sankey could be inactive in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sankey is basically a dead man walking on this team. Cobb is going to have trouble carving out a fantasy-friendly role with Antonio Andrews playing well and Dexter McCluster dominating pass downs.

TB - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins limited

    Source: DallasCowboys.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Not a great start to the week for Seferian-Jenkins, who is still sidelined despite reports that had him back on the field a week or two ago right after his shoulder injury. Even if he gets in a full practice before the end of the week, Seferian-Jenkins is no sure thing to play in Week 10.

DEN - Denver's starting RB unclear

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Denver Broncos RBs Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson will both be evaluated in a padded practice Thursday, Nov. 12, in order to determine who will start against the Kansas City Chiefs this week, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson is healthier and playing better. If Kubiak is rational, Anderson will start against the Chiefs.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy limited

    Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (groin) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11, after leaving the Week 9 game with a groin injury. Lacy is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry on 83 rushes for just 308 yards this year and has been demoted in favor of RB James Starks heading into Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. Lacy hasn't had more than 38 rushing yards this year.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lacy should be on our benches until he gives us a good reason to start him.

MIA - More carries for RB Jay Ajayi?

Source: Palm Beach Post - Andrew Abramson

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi earned more carries after his outing against the Buffalo Bills last week, according to head coach Dan Campbell.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lamar Miller's value takes a small hit, but his explosiveness can make up for fewer touches. Ajayi's value is on the rise, but the Dolphins poor defense may not give them many game scripts to get the power running game on track.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater practicing

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Mark Craig

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) was cleared and practiced Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's on track to play in what could be a great matchup against the weak Raiders pass defense.

NYJ - RB Chris Ivory probable

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

New York Jets RB Chris Ivory (hamstring) practiced Wednesday, Nov. 11, and is probable for Week 10 Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ivory has been on the injury report a lot this year, but looks to be fine for Thursday night's game on short rest. He's boom/bust RB1/RB2 who has been dependent on touchdowns for value lately.

NYJ - NYJ WR duo probable

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (toe, ankle) and WR Eric Decker (knee) practiced Wednesday, Nov. 11, and are probable for Week 10 Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Both should be fine plays, but lower their ceiling a little bit against the Buffalo corner duo. Expect a low scoring game tomorrow night.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy probable

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11, but he's probable for Thursday, Nov. 12, against the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy is safe to play as a low RB2/flex in a tough matchup with the Jets that will likely see him split work with Karlos Williams.

CLE - QB Josh McCown limited Wednesday

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (ribs) will be limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns are preparing Johnny Manziel to start again, but hope that McCown will be ready to face the Steelers. Owners of any Cleveland Browns in fantasy should also hope for McCown to return.

NE - RB James White to play more

    Source: CSNNE.com - Tom E. Curran

New England Patriots RB James White will play more after RB Dion Lewis (knee) was lost for the season, according to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. 'James is a guy who continues to get better,' McDaniels said. 'Hopefully his best football is in front of him. You know, he's still a young player, has only been in our system for a year-and-a-half here I think. And going forward, whatever his role is, I'm sure James will be prepared, and will give our team everything he has. So I really like his approach and his mentality, and he's got a maturity about him that I really feel good about. He'll have an opportunity now to step in there and play a little bit more with Dion's situation.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We think Brandon Bolden is the better all-around player and blocker, so expect this role to be split in some fashion, rendering both very risky fantasy plays.

SD - WR Malcom Floyd to rehab injury

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

San Diego Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (shoulder) will attempt to rehab and play through a torn labrum in what is likely his final season, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Floyd's game is predicated on high-pointing balls and winning in the air, so this could be a rough ride for him and the Chargers, but they might not have a choice with trade deadline passed.

PIT - Three Steelers sit out of practice

    Source: NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (non-injury), QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) and RB DeAngelo Williams (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams was not expected to practice. It sounds like he'll play this week but we'll be monitoring the practice reports to make sure he's good to go. If not, Jordan Todman could be a nice play against a porous Browns run defense.

CLE - Wednesday practice report for Week 10

    Source: NFL

Cleveland Browns OG Joel Bitonio (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. CB Joe Haden (concussion), DE Randy Starks (non-injury), OT Joe Thomas (non-injury) and S Donte Whitner (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. S Ibraheim Campbell (hamstring) and S Jordan Poyer (shoulder) were limited.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bitonio was part of an outstanding offensive line early last year. The Browns running game has stalled out this year, and Bitonio is not going to be able to help against the Steelers this week.

STL - Wednesday practice report for Week 10

    Source: NFL

St. Louis Rams LB Akeem Ayers (illness), OT Rob Havenstein (ankle), DE Chris Long (knee), S T.J. McDonald (foot) and DE Robert Quinn (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. RB Chase Reynolds (thigh) participated fully.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Quinn and Long missed last week's loss to Minnesota. If they are out vs. Chicago, Jay Cutler's life gets easier.

BAL - TE Crockett Gillmore does some drills

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gillmore has been banged up this year, but he has a chance to be a main target for Joe Flacco in the second half of the season if he can stay healthy.

NE - Wednesday practice report for Week 10

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots OL Marcus Cannon (toe), LB Jamie Collins (illness), OG Tre Jackson (knee) and OT Sebastian Vollmer (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. CBs Justin Coleman (hand) and Duron Harmon (knee), WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring), OG Shaquille Mason (knee) and DE Jabaal Sheard (ankle) were limited.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins' illness must be non-trivial to sideline him on Sunday and still keep him out of practice the following Wednesday. He will be a big part of trying to limit former Patriots receiving back Shane Vereen against his old team this weekend.

TB - Wednesday practice report for Week 10

    Source:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers OG Ali Marpet (ankle), DT Tony McDaniel (non-injury), DE Jacquies Smith (ankle) and CB Alterraun Verner (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 11. S Bradley McDougald (concussion), S D.J. Swearinger (toe) and S Major Wright (hamstring) were limited. DT Gerald McCoy (shoulder) was a full participant.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith is the team's best edge rusher and Marpet has helped the running game get going with his mauling style. If Bucs are going to win this week, it would help to get one or both back.

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov.11.

Marquess Wilson might get another start this week, but the Rams pass defense is one of the toughest in the league.

NYJ - Week 10 Jets injury report

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

New York Jets SS Calvin Pryor (ankle) and S Dion Bailey (ankle) didn't practice all week and are out for Week 10 Thursday, Nov. 12. CB Antonio Cromartie (quadriceps) didn't practice all week and is doubtful. CB Buster Skrine (shoulder, hand) was limited all week and is questionable. WR Jeremy Kerley (illness), C Nick Mangold (neck), FB Tommy Bohanon (shoulder), CB Dexter McDougle (hand, ankle), TE Kellen Davis (hand) and CB Dee Milliner (wrist) practiced Wednesday, Nov. 11, and are probable.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jets secondary will rely on Darrelle Revis because most of their other starters are banged up. Robert Woods is a good deep sleeper this week.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins listed as probable

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11, but he's probable for Thursday, Nov. 12, against the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins is on Revis Island this week, but it didn't stop Allen Robinson from having a good game last week and we think Watkins can have success here too.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns optimistic for Week 10

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Hays Carlyon

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (foot) is optimistic he'll play in Week 10 as he has shed the walking boot. However, his foot is still an issue.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns is on a six-game scoring streak and faces the abysmal Ravens pass defense this week. There's more risk to playing him, but it will be hard to leave Hurns on your bench.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant sitting Wednesday

    Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 11, with a sore left knee. Bryant injured the knee after he landed awkwardly on a touchdown grab in Week 9.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant is great at playing through nicks and bumps and the matchup with Tampa this week is tremendous. If he's on the field, he's in your lineup.

BAL - TE Dennis Pitta to IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating an earlier report, Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta (hip) will be placed on Injured Reserve, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pitta wants to play but the doctors won't clear him. Crockett Gillmore will continue to be low TE1/TEBC option on this news.

TEN - RB David Cobb activated

    Source: ESPN.com - Paul Kuharsky

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) was activated from Injured Reserve designated to return Wednesday, Nov. 11. QB Charlie Whitehurst was cut to make room for him.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb is still behind Antonio Andrews and Dexter McCluster for touches, so he's only a pickup in deeper leagues.

OAK - RB Latavius Murray could play

    Source: FOXSports.com - Alex Marvez

Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray (concussion) is showing positive signs as he goes through the concussion protocol, according to head coach Jack Del Rio. Del Rio hopes to have Murray back for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Murray is out, a committee of Taiwan Jones, Marcel Reece, Jamize Olawale, and Roy Helu will replace him. Reece or Jones would probably be the best desperation play.

    Friday Update

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater full go

    Source: NFL

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In the dual of 2014 NFL Draft picks, we give the edge to Derek Carr. Bridgewater will be a shaky QB2 start this weekend not so much because of the matchup as it is because Bridgewater just doesn't put up that many yards - the last two weeks have seen him throw for less than 200 yards each game and last week he didn't even throw a touchdown.

PIT - RB DeAngelo Williams practices Thursday

    Source: NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams has been phenomenal for a guy in his 30's and we expect RB1 numbers from him against Cleveland, especially with Ben Roethlisberger out.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger limited

    Source: NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect Roethlisberger to be out for the next couple of weeks, with Landry Jones under center this weekend. Avoid Jones though, as he is no better than a QB3 at best.

GB - Two Packers limited Thursday

    Source: NFL

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (groin) and WR James Jones (quadriceps) were limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

James Starks is going to get the majority of the carries in this weekend's game and we see Stark as a borderline RB1/RB2. Lacy may get the whole week off, but if he plays we could see him as a potential RB3. If Jones can play we have him slotted as a WR3 but buyer beware—he's stunk up the joint along with the rest of the offense over the last two weeks.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery day-to-day

Source: Chicago Tribune - Dan Wiederer

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) is day-to-day with a tweaked groin, according to head coach John Fox. Jeffery has reached 100 yards receiving in each of the last three games. He was seen walking through the locker room without a limp Thursday, Nov. 12, despite missing practice. The Bears are hopeful he can bounce back and play in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Between the injury and the matchup against a tough Rams defense, we think Jeffery is a solid WR2, rather than a WR1 despite the fact that he's basically Jay Cutler's only weapon.

CHI - RB Matt Forte limited Thursday

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not sure what to expect from Forte. The Bears have little to no hope of competing for the playoffs and almost might as well rest Forte until he's 100 percent while they see what Jeremy Langford is fully capable of. Langford is a decent RB2 if he is the lead back. We think he'd get carries even if Forte plays, which would hurt both their chances of producing good points though.

DEN - QB Peyton Manning practicing

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) is participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manning isn't very mobile anyway, so this doesn't make a big difference save they might not use many of those roll-outs and bootlegs we've been amused by for a few weeks. The offense is shaky despite the game they had against the Green Bay Packers a couple of weeks back—we know they'll score some points but Manning is prone to turnovers and long periods of underwhelming play in the game, balanced with some outstanding series. We have him as a QB2 this week against Kansas City and mark this as a fascinating game to watch given they are coming off a huge loss.

CLE - QB Josh McCown limited again

    Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (ribs) will be limited in practice a second straight day Thursday, Nov. 12, according to head coach Mike Pettine. The Browns have yet to make a decision on who will start at quarterback in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't particularly speak well of their confidence in Johnny Manziel at this point. McCown, while not an incredible quarterback, is more consistent than Manziel and could offer them the most likely chance to win, even if Manziel has higher upside. Neither is a great play in any format and we'd avoid them as anything more than a low-end QB3.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant limited Thursday

    Source: DallasCowboys.com - David Helman

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) will be limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 12, but the team is confident he'll progress this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Despite Matt Cassel being his quarterback, the matchup and Bryant's ability are too juicy. We saw him get back on track against the Eagles last week with a five catch, 104 yard effort capped by a touchdown. We have zero concerns going forward and you should have him as a WR1 in your lineups.

DAL - QB Matt Cassel fully practices

    Source: NFL

Dallas Cowboys QB Matt Cassel (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cassel isn't great but he's not bad—and is a nice QB2 start this week against an improving Tampa Bay defense.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas practices in full

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (abdomen) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas isn't quite integrated into the offense yet but should be a solid TE2 play this week.

WAS - Full practice for RB Chris Thompson

    Source: NFL

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (back) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson is too inconsistent to trust. He gets targets quite frequently, but then he gets just two catches last week. As that can happen any week he is no more than a deep RB5.

NO - Willie Snead doesn't practice

    Source: NFL

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Snead's had a hot season, but this injury is a bit of a concern. We can see him put up some WR3 numbers this weekend.

HOU - WR Nate Washington limited Thursday

    Source: NFL

Houston Texans WR Nate Washington (hip) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington will get some freedom across from DeAndre Hopkins but we don't expect all that much from him. Ultimately he is no more than a WR5 play this weekend against a tough Cincinnati defense.

KC - Full practice for TE Travis Kelce

    Source: NFL

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news because with very few options for Alex Smith to throw to, Kelce is a lock to put up TE1 numbers.

CLE - QB Johnny Manziel takes part in practice

    Source: NFL

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel (elbow) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't know if it'll Manziel or Josh McCown, but we'd avoid this mess if we were you. Manziel and McCown are both no more than low-end Qb2/QB3.

DEN - Two Denver RBs fully practice

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos RBs C.J. Anderson (ankle) and RB Ronnie Hillman (quadriceps) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson looks better and we see him as a solid RB1, while Hillman has faded back to an RB3/RB4. This run game overall is still shaky but we think it should be solid against Kansas City this weekend.

TEN - WR Kendall Wright still out

Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright was out last week because he couldn't practice so this doesn't fill our hearts with optimism. Head another direction.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart limited again

    Source: NFL

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (ankle) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We are optimistic Stewart will play Sunday against Tennessee in a great matchup. If he does, he's a great RB2 play this weekend. If he doesn't, it will probably be a bit RBBC, though we like Mike Tolbert as a short yardage back with upside if that's the case and you could start him as an RB4 at the least.

NE - WR Julian Edelman limited

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited for a second consecutive day Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman has been pretty consistent in terms of fantasy production with three touchdowns over the last two games and four over the last four (Week 7 against the Jets the one time he missed the end zone). At times his value depends on those scores, but he's generally reliable enough for WR2 status and against a banged up Giants defense, should be a nice start.

DET - WR Calvin Johnson limited again

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect him to be ready to go and productive come game day in an important (though arguably futile) game against the Green Bay Packers. You can't stop Johnson, so even though the Lions offense has been iffy, he remains a WR1.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders should play

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, shoulder) is expected to play, according to head coach Gary Kubiak, although Kubiak did express concern regarding Sanders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Sanders plays, he should be in lineups as a WR2, but he doesn't hurt Demaryius Thomas' chances for a big day. Thomas should remain a borderline WR1/WR2.

NYG - WR Victor Cruz out of practice

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (calf, knee) did not practice again Thursday, Nov. 12, and is not expected to play in Week 10 against the New England Patriots.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As always, we have no real idea when he will emerge on the field nor what impact he will have when he finally does, as he hasn't played football in an extraordinarily long time.

NYG - TE Larry Donnell won't play this weekend

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) is expected to sit out again in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. He has done some running in practice the last two days, but that has been it. The Giants have a bye week in Week 11, so the Giants could give Donnell extra time to recover.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Other than Donnell, no tight end on the Giants has been worth a start. So don't bother dipping into that pond and move onto another team where there is better production from the tight ends.

DET - RB Ameer Abdullah not in doghouse

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah's diminished role in recent weeks has been a product of game situations and not because of the fumbling problems that he's had in his rookie season. 'Every game's a little different, and I think some games you'll see him with the ball in his hands a little bit more, some games (you'll see) Joique Bell and Theo Riddick,' head coach Jim Caldwell said. 'I think you'll see them carry it some as well. So it just kind of depends on the ball game as to how we approach it.' Abdullah had a season-low five snaps in the Week 8 game against the Kansas City Chiefs and finished with one carry for only three yards. He has only 201 yards and four fumbles since his 24-yard touchdown run on his first carry in Week 1.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Overall this offense has not been playing all that well on the ground. His fumbles don't help. We don't see him as more than an RB5 this weekend against a Green Bay team which is going to be fired up after two losses.

    Saturday Update

PIT - QB Landry Jones starting Sunday

    Source: PennLive.com - Jacob Klinger

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Landry Jones will start against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10, according to QB Michael Vick. Vick also said he'll be Jones' backup Sunday, Nov. 15. QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) practiced in limited fashion Friday, Nov. 13, and is listed as questionable for Sunday.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is actually an ok bye filler with his weak matchup and quality surrounding weapons. Ben Roethlisberger should be back for Week 12 after the bye.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch added to injury report

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdominal) has been added to the injury report and is now questionable for Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals with an abdominal injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch should play by all outward indications, but Thomas Rawls being on the roster of Lynch owners would allow them to sleep well Saturday night. Lynch plays Sunday night, so only a Cardinals, Seahawks, Bengals or Texans back (or receiver if flex) can hedge Lynch.

CHI - RB Matt Forte questionable

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 13, and he's questionable for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears aren't going to shed much light on his condition, but Forte suiting up against the Rams is definitely in play. Jeremy Langford owners also need to monitor this situation closely.

ARI - WR John Brown's status in question

    Source: AZCardinals.com

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 13, and is listed as questionable for the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown is a game-time decision and it is not a great sign that his hamstring issue has lingered through the bye, but he should play and presents the kind of matchup that can give the big Seattle secondary problems.

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson, RB Ronnie Hillman both probable

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos RBs C.J. Anderson (ankle) and Ronnie Hillman (quadriceps) both practiced in full Friday, Nov. 13, and are probable for Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson has a chance to take the backfield back from Hillman with a good game against the Chiefs. The Broncos should be more reliant on their running game Sunday with Peyton Manning hobbled by a foot injury.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater expected to play

    Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 13, and is fully expected to play in Week 10 against the Oakland Raiders, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. However, Bridgewater hasn't yet been cleared to return to action by doctors. Zimmer said he doesn't 'have any doubts.' Bridgewater is officially listed as questionable.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This makes Stefon Diggs a much better play against the weak Raiders pass defense. Bridgewater had a good fantasy day when the Lions forced him into a high scoring game and that could happen this week in Oakland too.

CLE - QB Johnny Manziel expected to start

    Source: NFL.com - Conor Orr

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel is expected to start over QB Josh McCown (ribs) in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source with knowledge of the team's thinking. Head coach Mike Pettine was hesitant to name his starter this weekend. Manziel has been up and down in his two starts this year.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is bad news for every part of the Browns offense and a good reason to look at the Steelers defense this week in your lineup. Manziel looked overwhelmed in the pocket against the Bengals last week.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery questionable for Week 10

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 13, and he's questionable for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The return to a limited practice is comforting as Jeffery can produce well through injuries. We still want to see him getting healthier with the bye behind him, but hopefully he can manage this injury instead of missing a lengthy period from a secondary injury as he did in the first half of the season.

TB - Friday injury report for Week 10

    Source: NFL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers OG Ali Marpet (ankle) and DE Jacquies Smith (ankle) are out for Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys. S D.J. Swearinger (toe) is doubtful. S Bradley McDougald (concussion) and S Major Wright (hamstring) are questionable, while DT Gerald McCoy (shoulder), DT Tony McDaniel (non-injury) and CB Alterraun Verner (foot) are probable. Marpet, Smith and Swearinger didn't practice Friday, Nov. 13, while the others all practiced in full.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bucs will be down one of their best run blockers and best pass rusher against the Cowboys. Matt Cassel at quarterback shouldn't stop Dez Bryant from having a good day.

CLE - Cleveland Week 10 injury report

    Source: NFL

Cleveland Browns OG Joel Bitonio (ankle), CB Joe Haden (concussion) and S Donte Whitner (concussion) have been ruled out for Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. S Ibraheim Campbell (hamstring), S Tashaun Gipson (illness) and S Jordan Poyer (shoulder) are questionable. Gipson, Haden and Whitner did not practice Friday, Nov. 13. Campbell and Poyer were limited. DE Randy Starks (non-injury) and OT Joe Thomas (non-injury) were removed from the list.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns secondary is down two of its best players against Antonio Brown. Even with Landry Jones at quarterback, the Cleveland defense will be vulnerable to the pass, and we already know that they are weak against the run.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) did not practice Friday, Nov. 13, and is questionable for Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson's practice participation is going in the wrong direction, but he expects to play against the Packers. This is still troubling considering how much injuries brought down Johnson's last two season.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy iffy for Week 10

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (groin) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for Week 10 against the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lacy should be on your bench until he plays well enough to make you wish you started him. James Starks is the running back play for the Packers this week against Detroit.

NE - New England Week 10 injury report

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots OT Marcus Cannon (toe), LB Jamie Collins (illness), OG Tre Jackson (knee) and OT Sebastian Vollmer (concussion) are out for Week 10 against the New York Giants. CB Justin Coleman (hand), WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring), OG Shaquille Mason (knee) and DE Jabaal Sheard (ankle) are questionable, while CB Duron Harmon (knee) is probable. Cannon, Collins, Jackson and Vollmer didn't practice Friday, Nov. 13. Coleman, Martin, Mason and Sheard were limited, while Harmon practiced in full.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots offensive line is a mess and the Giants pass rush is getting stronger, so this should be a very interesting matchup Sunday afternoon.

ARI - Fitzgerald to draw CB Richard Sherman?

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, who leads the Cardinals in catches (55), receiving yards (706) and touchdowns (seven), could be followed by Seattle Seahawks shutdown CB Richard Sherman in Week 10. Sherman has been matched up against the opposing team's best receiver for several games this year, but Fitzgerald wonders who he might be asked to cover this weekend. Fitzgerald is playing mostly out of the slot this year, so Seahawks CBs Cary Williams or DeShawn Shead would need to be used on the outside if Sherman matches up with Fitzgerald.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzgerald has been shut down during his two games with Palmer against the Seahawks, but this offensive line is a lot better than 2013's. Fitzgerald should stay in your lineups even though there's known risk with this matchup.

OAK - RB Latavius Murray shows optimism

Source: ANG Newspapers - Jerry McDonald

Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray (concussion) is at practice Friday, Nov. 13, and looks like he'll be able to play in Week 10, barring setbacks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He'll face a stiff Vikings run defense, but the quality of his surrounding offense still makes him a borderline RB1 this week.

DEN - TE Vernon Davis to see expanded role

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Denver Broncos TE Vernon Davis will have an expanded role in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Davis is more comfortable with QB Peyton Manning and his audible language.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis isn't a safe play yet, but if Emmanuel Sanders can't go, he could see a decent number of targets.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders a game-time decision

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, shoulder) is a game-time decision for Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You need a hedge from one of the other nine teams playing a late or night game this week, but there are more than enough options from those teams that you're likely to already own one or be able to find one on the waiver wire. The Broncos may go very run heavy against the Chiefs Sunday.

PHI - Two Eagles receivers probable

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) and WR Riley Cooper (toe) practiced fully Friday, Nov. 13, and are probable for Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Agholor will return to the lineup against a defense that allowed two deep shots to Sammy Watkins last week.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas probable

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (abdomen) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 13, and is probable for Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas could be a bigger part of the offense if Allen Hurns is out on Sunday, although Hurns did return to practice today.

TEN - WR Kendall Wright missing another game

    Source: NFL.com

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) has been ruled out for Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harry Douglas could be a sneaky PPR flex play as the Titans will likely throw a lot in this game, but not have time to throw downfield.

TB - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins questionable

Source: 620 WDAE Tampa - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) is questionable for Week 10. However, it doesn't sound like he has been cleared for full contact.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seferian-Jenkins made it seem like it is the medical staff's decision to keep him out, so it's hard to say what needs to happen for him to take the field again. There's a reason to think it isn't Seferian-Jenkins toughness in question though.

CHI - WR Eddie Royal out for Week 10

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) didn't practice Friday, Nov. 13, and is out for Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Marquess Wilson will get the start, but he won't be of much use against the stingy Rams defense.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns practicing

    Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (foot) is participating in the walk-through Friday, Nov. 13.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This makes it much more likely Hurns will play on Sunday. There's risk that he won't perform up to his usual level, but he has an outstanding matchup against the Ravens and his usual level has been a strong WR2 this year, so there's a larger margin for error.

    Sunday Update

ARI - WR John Brown a game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) is expected to be a game-time decision for the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Having Brown on the field would be a boost for the Cardinals offense. His speed can stretch the field vertically and open things up underneath. Make other plans if you can. We have Brown as a WR3/flex play in Week 10 if he plays.

DEN - QB Peyton Manning has another injury

    Source: DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (rib cage, foot) is dealing with an injury to his rib cage in addition to his foot injury but is still listed as probable for the Week 10 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A banged up Manning does not give us a ton of confidence. Remember when he was banged up with a quad injury last year? Manning didn't look good and struggled to throw downfield. The foot injury is most concerning here. Manning isn't exactly fleet afoot anyway, and this foot problem could prevent him from stepping into his throws. We have Manning as a top-10 fantasy QB this week, but know this injury could throw a wrench into the Broncos game plan.

SEA - WR Paul Richardson activated

    Source: Seahawks.com

Seattle Seahawks WR Paul Richardson (knee) was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Nov. 14. WR Ricardo Lockette (neck) was placed on Reserve/Injured. 'We're going to jump (Richardson) right back in,' head coach Pete Carroll said. 'Really, we're going to put him right back into it. He's had enough time now, he's been out on the practice field, he looks great, so we're just going to fit him in. How do I see it? We're going to fit him in.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Richardson had an A.J. Green-like skill set during his time in college at Colorado. However, he also had more than one knee injury that forced him to miss a lot of time with the Buffs. Now, Richardson is coming back from yet another knee injury he suffered last year as a rookie. If he can ever regain his talent, speed and ability to play above the rim, Richardson is an interesting player to watch in dynasty leagues.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson looks faster

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson looked faster in practice this week, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It was good to see Jackson back last week. He didn't do much against the Patriots, but he did stay healthy through the game. We like Jackson as a flex play against the Saints this week.

HOU - RB Chris Polk probable

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB Chris Polk (knee) is listed as probable against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not looking for much from the Texans backfield. We'll see how the touches are split between Polk and Alfred Blue.

HOU - Two Houston WRs probable

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WRs Nate Washington (hip) and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) are listed as probable for Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington should be the best starter out of these two. We like Washington as a WR3/flex play while Shorts is more of a desperation "what the heck" flex in deeper leagues.

GB - WR Ty Montgomery unsure of status

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery (ankle) said he is still not 100% at this point and is not sure if he will be able to run and cut like he needs to in order to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Montgomery's game is all about run-after-the-catch ability. If he's not capable of cutting without losing speed, then the team may decide to shut him down. The Packers have had two rough weeks (Broncos, Panthers), but we feel like their offense is going to bounce back against the hapless Lions in Week 10.

CHI - RB Matt Forte will not rush back

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) said his knee is feeling better but that he will not rush back because he could do more damage to the knee if it is not healed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The team doesn't need to rush him back with the way that rookie Jeremy Langford is playing. This week against the Rams, we like Langford as a RB2 with upside.

    Monday Update

NE - WR Julian Edelman on crutches

    Source: FOXSports.com

Updating a previous story, New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot) was walking with crutches and wearing a walking boot after exiting against the New York Giants in Week 10 with a foot injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mike Garafolo reports that Edelman has a Jones fracture in his foot and might be ready for the playoffs. Danny Amendola becomes an instant WR2 in this offense.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger saves the day

    Source: The Associated Press

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) came off the bench to replace QB Landry Jones (leg) and finished with 379 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 30-9 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Roethlisberger was in very few lineups, but everyone who owns him has to be heartened by his huge game and better than expected health heading into the bye. The Steelers offense is finally starting to come together despite some crushing injury blows this year.

PHI - QB Sam Bradford has concussion, shoulder injury

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (concussion, shoulder) suffered a concussion in addition to a shoulder injury in the team's Week 10 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bradford would have a good matchup next week against the Bucs if he can go, but it seems likely that Mark Sanchez will get the start.

NE - WR Danny Amendola busy Sunday

    Source: The Associated Press

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola had 10 catches on 11 targets for 79 yards in a 27-26 win over the New York Giants in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Look for similar stat lines going forward with Julian Edelman likely out for the remainder of the regular season.

MIN - Quiet game for WR Stefon Diggs

    Source: The Associated Press

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs had two catches for 46 yards in a 30-14 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings are not going to lean on the passing game when they lead and they controlled the second half of this game. Diggs should be a better play next week against the Packers.

OAK - QB Derek Carr tops 300 yards again

    Source: The Associated Press

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr had his third straight 300-yard passing game, completing 29 of 43 passes for 302 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 30-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carr had to deal with the wind and a tough Vikings defense, but he scratched out yet another multi-touchdown game. He'll be a low QB1 play against a Detroit defense that just frustrated Aaron Rodgers.

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson tops 200 yards

    Source: The Associated Press

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson had 26 carries for 203 yards and a touchdown in a 30-14 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 10, giving him a record-tying six 200-yard rushing games for his career.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson capped off the win with an 80 yard touchdown run, and the 30-year-old appears to be getting stronger as the season goes on. Next week he and the Vikings will have a chance to open up a two-game lead on the Packers at home.

NO - RB Mark Ingram banged up

    Source: The Associated Press

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (undisclosed) exited against the Washington Redskins with an unspecified injury but returned in the second half and finished with five carries for 77 yards and three catches for 21 yards in a 47-14 loss.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ingram was probably kept on the sidelines in the second half mostly because of the score. He's heading into his bye, so whatever was going on will have time to simmer down.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed wasn't targeted frequently, but he was trusted and came through in the red zone. He's a boom/bust TE1 heading into a tough matchup in Carolina.

    Source: The Associated Press

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 20 of his 25 pass attempts for 324 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in a 47-14 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cousins predictably destroyed the easy matchup with good short passing and poor tackling by the Saints. Next week against the Panthers he'll have the same rude return to reality that Marcus Mariota had this week.

MIA - RB Lamar Miller shows off versatility

    Source: The Associated Press

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 16 carries for 43 yards and caught six passes for 50 yards and a touchdown in a 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller continues to flash his speed on receptions, even with a middling number of carries and poor game scripts the next two weeks. The Cowboys defense is no pushover next week but Miller has proven he is worthy of RB1 starts.

TEN - QB Marcus Mariota held in check

    Source: The Associated Press

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 16 of his 24 pass attempts for 185 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 10 game against the Carolina Panthers. He also ran five times for 24 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mariota and the Titans ran into a brick wall, but the Jags defense up this week on Thursday will have more give.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ajayi is looking like a promising part of the Dolphins and his dynasty teams future, but his role might not be big enough to matter in the present in fantasy leagues against the Cowboys next week.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen had team highs with eight grabs and 80 yards in the Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen isn't Rob Gronkowski or Tyler Eifert when it comes to scores, but he's otherwise about as good as it gets at tight end in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton completed 21 of his 26 pass attempts for 217 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans. He also ran nine times for 23 yards and a score.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton was masterful against a very aggressive Titans pass rush. He's an elite QB1 heading into a soft schedule down the stretch including Washington next week.

    Source: The Associated Press

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin had seven catches on 11 targets for 113 yards in a 30-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Benjamin didn't depend on deep touchdowns like he did the first time around with Manziel. He'll be a worthy WR3/Flex out of the bye no matter who the starting quarterback is.

    Source: The Associated Press

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown caught 10 passes on 14 targets for 139 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-9 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown is playing at a Hall of Fame level entering the bye. That he has done what he has with all of the injuries around him is spectacular. He's on pace to lead a lot of playoff fantasy teams.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant got behind the defense with ease and Ben Roethlisberger was happy to give him chances to win footraces under high-arching deep balls. He'll go into the bye as a high ceiling WR2.

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel completed 33 of his 45 pass attempts for 372 yards, a touchdown and an interception and ran three times for 17 yards and lost a fumble in a 30-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manziel might have give Mike Pettine a lot to think about heading into the bye. He had some young quarterback mistakes and mostly did his damage outside of the pocket, but he is making real progress.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Starks was more dangerous as a receiver and salvaged his fantasy day in that facet of the offense. He has a tough matchup against Minnesota next week and Eddie Lacy might return.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 333 yards Sunday, Nov. 15, in an 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions. He threw 26 incompletions in 61 attempts, however, and his touchdowns didn't come until late in the fourth quarter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers has only moved the ball with consistency against prevent defenses over the last three weeks. The offense is crisis as they head into Minnesota next week. Rodgers has to stay in your lineup because he's putting up numbers, but it isn't pretty.

Bryant didn't look like himself on a late deep ball that was intercepted and still hasn't got back to his previous level of play. Tony Romo returning next week against Miami should make a difference.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns extends TD streak

Source: The Associated Press - David Ginsburg

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns extended his string of games with at least one touchdown to seven on Sunday, Nov. 15.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns has arrived in the WR2 ranks and as long as his foot is okay on short rest, he'll be a good start vs. Tennessee on Thursday.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews has concussion

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (concussion) suffered a concussion in the team's Week 10 game and did not return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mathews scored in this game, but he is still clearly the second fiddle in the backfield to Demarco Murray. Murray could get even more work if Mathews isn't ready for Tampa next week.

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (foot, ankle) was carted off the field after the team's Week 10 game because of an ankle or foot injury.

Rookie Dorial Green-Beckham is going to have to play a larger role than anticipated going forward and the Titans get an easy matchup against the Jaguars on Thursday this week, so we'll get a good look at him.

What a week in the NFL. What 10/11 upsets this week? Just a crazy week for Fantasy and DFS leagues.

Indeed, their backup QB is good enough to start for alot of other NFL teams.
