well, it is not a raffle mainly because raffles a PURE luck. Weekly fantasy actually takes skill to win.

Like I said, regular season long fantasy leagues are raffle because you're drafting before week 1 and can't read the future. With weeklies you have no excuse not to excel other than poor handicapping.

And yes, more than the top 5 generally get paid unless you do smaller contest. But for the majority of the big contest, like this weekends, it was top 125700 out of 520k; last place got $25 for $20 entry. If you can't cash in that, the honest truth is you're not very good at handicapping either unless you just solely follow line movement and don't even watch the games like I do in MLB. If someone even pretends they know football and can't cash on these fantasy leagues, they have shown their hand.

It is really no different than anything else, when people lose they must find an excuse instead of being critical on why they are losing. Much easier to say "its a scam, I'm done there."

They categorize it as a game of "skill" on their website rather than "chance". Since it's a game of skill it's not considered gambling.

It cracks me up that other entrepreneurs have thought of this idea... and clearly washed it away because it is gambling. But, this DK owner is still living it up.

again, anyone who can't cash is showing their hand on their real capping skills which obviously are not very good unless you just follow line movement. For the rest who pretend they know football, they don't. Just reality people, look in a mirror instead of blaming someone else for once. If you can't cash, that means you are not skilled at what you're doing.
