And at anyone saying cut Eli. Who takes his job in a training camp QB competition other than guys worth more than 99/5yrs?
he is a mediocre QB and if they offer him a new contract it should be for 3 years 12 million which in my opinion is being generous based on how Eli has played.

Amazing how greedy these guys are, do they really need all those millions?

And then they manage to go bankrupt, unreal.

Nobody was taking Demarco Murray's job and they let him go, its about value and Eli ain't worth anywhere near what he wants.

Eli should play for free for the next 5 years for all the horrible plays he had the last few years.

I don't understand the issue pay him. I don't care if a player has the greatest stats year in and year out but loses the Super Bowl then he's a loser period. There's one winner each year and Eli is winning Super Bowls at a 30 percent clip over the last seven years and will win one more before he retires. There should be no discussion here. Just remember where the giants were before him qb wise. Do they really want to be in that half of the league that never has a shot because they have no qb.

Let Eli walk. Phillip Rivers will be a free agent next year. Rivers to giants and manning to chargers the way it was supposed to be years ago.

That would be interesting. Peyton retires and Eli goes to SD, I could see that.

But I agree with goduke, you don't let a 2X SB ring QB walk. Sure, he looks bad at times, but he wins when it matters.

eli manning is atleast is still capable of playing the QB position an average or slightly below average NFL level.

Tigers Woods can't even seem to finish 18 holes of golf before he comes up with an excuse that he can't finsh the round.

Tiger Woods = no talent pussy

Eli Manning = has some toughness but definitely not an elite QB.

QBs with huge deals hurt their team on the salary cap. That is why Tom Brady takes pay cuts. Peyton did that too

    exactly.

he should learn from his big bro. Peyton took a 4 million dollar paycut to help his team out.

Meanwhile Eli doesnt care about winnning.. only his bank account.

Cowherd was right to say that some insiders believe Eli, with his past success and $, doesn't want to take a hit. This is why Big Ben is far better - Ben is happy to take a hit to deliver the ball.

Brady doesn't take actual pay cuts....money is just moved around (paid more up-front) so the most current season will have more cap space... & then they have to let ppl go the next year

he prob actually restructured & made more

    - see Pats off-season moves

Peyton took an actual 100% legit 4 million paycut. Big difference.

Brady is cheaper than quite a few QB's who couldn't tie his cleats.
