    Collin McHugh For Cy Young!

But seriously, he is a nice under-the-radar gem that keeps making me money. (sadly, one of the few that have done that for me this year )

He knows what he is doing, 144 strikeouts vs. 40 walks in 142 innings.

it just seems that he doesn't always have control of that. whenever i watch him it's always his curveball that gets the job done. really above average curveball.

i'm actually trying to find a fangraphs section where they have pitchers and their pitches measured by average

    http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfx.asp...ion=P&pitch=CU

Opponents batting .145 off of his curve with a K-rate of 50%.

And he throws it like 72 MPH.

Houston has some good pitchers and prospects. Their time is coming soon.

The kid they have going today, Tropeano, could be pretty good as well.

Had him three of the last four times he has won including last night, all at +odds. Before that, couldn't tell you exactly but I do remember betting him a few times earlier on.

McHugh should qualify for the ERA title by the end of the year, he would be sixth in the American League right now at 2.79 along with a 1.04 WHIP and the excellent K/BB ratio I posted earlier. Most importantly has has now allowed two runs or less in eight straight starts including allowing one run in six of them. Far from sucking balls.

Luhnow got this one right. the kid had lost his first eight decisions before the Astros picked him up off the scrap heap.

I like Bo also. I have to admit though, that the team is a lot looser since he left. if the Astros win today, that means they won consecutive series against the Angels, the Athletics, and the Mariners. that speaks volumes.

Actually close to -120 and even -122 at Pinny vs. a team still in wild card contention mathematically. I am passing as of now.

McHugh went 6.2 innings Monday without allowing any earned runs. He needs 13.1 innings in his last two starts to be qualified to be ranked with league leaders, his ERA is now at 2.66.

Astros don't expect him to miss a start.

Collin McHugh left Monday's start versus the Indians with a bruised left forearm.

McHugh took a comebacker off the bat of Lonnie Chisenhall to force his exit. He was in the midst of another excellent outing, yielding just one unearned run on five hits and no walks while striking out seven. The Astros expect McHugh to be ready for his next start.

how many starts does he have left? Two might be enough to reach the innings needed to qualify.
