Wade and Bosh are Opting Out of Contracts Also

But remember, just because the entire Big Three opted out, it does not mean any of them are actually leaving. But all three will be free agents in July.

he will still get his money just spread out over a longer period of time. This once again is great news for Miami especially Wade opting out and it pretty much guarantees the big 3 will all be back next year on a salary cut.

No reason financially for either one to do this except for the greater good of the Heat.

The big 3 are really the big 1. Wade is near done, and Bosh is a center that stands in the corner and does not rebound. If James is smart he gets out of there now.

What is this obsession with Wade doesn't James realize he is washed up?

You can't win with old players in the NBA unless they are center

Wade not a top 40 player

    they are weak people.

you win 2 championships and make it all the way to the Finals again and then you just give up on your team and your city?

Shocking news. Wade isnt even worth man than the vet's minimum now. Bosh doesn't know how to play just shooting 3's all the time (which signals bad coach to me) Should have gone to Cleveland. Stay in the easy east with more talent.

JJ, let's say a shooting guard averaged 19 pts 5 assists and 5 rebs a game, and shot 55% from the field, which was the highest FG% among all two-guards. What would you think about a player with those numbers?

So you're judging him on a few games against the best team in the league, rather than looking at his season as a whole, I think that's a mistake. Everyone keeps saying he's "washed up", "finished", "done". The fact is he averaged 19, 5, and 5 a game and led all shooting guards in FG%. Is he the Wade of old? No, of course not. But to say he's "done", isn't fair and the numbers say I'm right. How many shooting guards would love to put up 19, 5, and 5 while leading all other shooting guards in FG%, anyone would take those numbers in a second, but when Wade puts up those numbers, that means he's "done", I don't get it.

No one has ever won a championship without another superstar on the team, maybe Dirk. Lebron is the next closest to doing so. People cannot think for themselves anymore. Everyone thinks there is three superstars on this team because the media has dubbed them the "big 3". Bosh was never a superstar, he was simply the best player on the Raptors and thus had inflated numbers. Wade hasn't been in his prime in years. There is no "Big 3" in Miami. There's Lebron and some really nice supporting players. There's not even a second superstar on this team. There's no Pippen for Jordan, No Kobe for Shaq, No Magic for Kareem, No McHale for Bird, No Parker for Duncan. And yet the man has still won two championships. He'd have four rings right now if he had a Robin.

So anyone thinking Lebron can only win with other stars is dead wrong. Lebron has never played with anyone as good as those guys listed above.

But even if he chose to play with other superstars, he isn't the first.

He's just the easiest to hate on, because the media is telling you too. Think for yourselves.

04 pistons Chauncey Billups was a solid player and imo deserves to be a hall of famer but he was by no means a superstar. The rest of the squad had nothing close to a superstar either.

Carmelo is a complete moron if he goes to Miami. He completely shits on his already iffy legacy and from a basketball stand point, that wouldn't even make the Heat that much better, if at all.

Carmelo could win a couple of titles in Chicago and go out a winner. That shit is a lot more important than goofing off in South Beach.

as bad as the environment was in NYC i could understand leaving then but not now. You got Phil in place. You got a new coach. You don't hear much about Dolan meddling. Carmelo has a chance to be idolized in a way no other basketball player will ever be if the Knicks can win a championship. It is a risk worth taking.
