    I'm with ya on McFadden.

Those type of guys have much more upside and in the 4th and 5th rounds.

It actually makes perfect sense because RB is so thin and QB and WR are very deep. You HAVE to take RBs early or else you will have shit at the most important position in fantasy whereas you can always find good QBs and WRs late

Bush had 5 catches (7 targets) for 103 yards today. What was that, a half of football?

I don't even play in a PPR league and I want to land Reggie Bush as my FLEX back. I think he has a good chance to be a RB2 in standard leagues.

Just had my draft last night. Sproles slid to me in the third. Guy is great for PPR. Not sure why he slipped. But I'm happy he did.

Bush is going to be a stud in the Lions offense this year. Guys like Pettigrew, Burleson, Broyles, could be good, but just arent reliable as of right now.

I agree. His historical stats aren't that great but.
    1. His speed will be magnified on that turf.
    2. Detroit needs a dependable RB.
    3. Detroit's offense is going to score points.

He's in a good situation, and he's playing in a dome, on flat ground and it will magnify his skills. Bush will probably have the best year in his entire career this year.

My league has 1 pt for 25 yards for PR's and KR's. Does this make a huge difference on my standard draft? For picking players and defenses? I'm on Yahoo. Thanks.

I have Mega and I'm worried as well. He's going to get tripped!

He better not only produce 5TDs again. That sucked last year.

I hadn't done any mocks until yesterday. How about some imput Onlooker or Speedy88

    Pick 9
Arien Foster - People were really worried about the injury and he fell
    S. Ridley RB
    Andre Johnson WR
    David Wilson RB
    Gronk TE
    James Jones WR
    Tony Romo QB
    D. Richardson RB
    L. Moore WR
    B. Tate RB
    B. Meyers TE
    J. Blackmon WR
    P. Rivers QB
    Pitt D
    C. Baerth K

    QB: Romo Rivers
RB: A. Foster, Ridley, Wilson, Richardson, Tate
    WR: A. Johnson, J. Jones, L. Moore, J. Blackmon
    TE: Gronk, Meyers
    D: Pitt
    K. Baerth

I really like my Rb's but I had to suffer at QB/WR to get them. Normally I don't think you'd have any chance to get Foster at pick 9 but sometimes crazy things happen in drafts. I think I reached and took J. Jones too high but I had to select a WR at that point. I normally wouldn't want 2 TE if you select Gronk that might be necessary, Meyers should be a decent starter himself and Gronk should be elite when he plays.

    Pick 5
    CJ Spiller RB
    C. Johnson RB
    V. Cruz WR
    M. Ryan QB
    E. Decker WR
    A. Bradshaw RB
    D. Richardson RB
    S. Vareen RB
    O. Daniels TE
    L. Moore WR
    K. Britt WR
    J. Blackmon WR
    P. Rivers QB
    C. Baerth K
    Giants D

    QB: M. Ryan, P. Rivers
RB: Spiller, Johnson, Bradshaw, Richardson, Vareen
WR: Cruz, Decker, L. Moore, K. Britt, Blackmon
    TE: Owen Daniels
    D: Giants
    K. Baerth

Is Matt Ryan really worth a 4th round pick, I think I could have got similar production later. Is Cruz worth a 3rd rounder? It seems to me there are 5 super elite WR and they go in rounds 2-3, Cruz is outside of the Mega, Marshall, AJ Green, D. Thomas group and maybe even Andre Johnson.

I like my RBs, but there are some question marks at WR. Cruz/Decker can put up elite #'s, but they also might not be worth the high picks. Moore is dependable, Britt/Blackmon are later picks on guys with big upside.

I am thinking I like this drafting strategy because in rounds 9-13 I have a better shot at getting a good WR than a good RB. I like Bradshaw/Richardson a lot in rounds 6/7.

Pick 2 - Which can be the worst pick for somebody like me who can deviate more from the "traditional rb rankings"
    CJ. Spiller RB
    C. Johnson RB
    A. Rodgers QB
    D. Amendola WR
    H. Nicks WR
    W. Welker WR
    A. Bradshaw RB
    G. Bernard RB
    S. Vareen RB
    A. Gates TE
    S. Rice WR
    Pitt D
    P. Rivers QB
    C. Baerth K
    NY Giants D

    QB: A. Rodgers, P. Rivers
RB: Spiller, C. Johnson, A. Bradshaw, G. Bernard, S. Vareen
WR: Amendola, Nicks, Welker, S. Rice
    TE: Gates
    K Baerth
    D: Pitt, Giants

I wouldn't take Brees/Rodgers in round 2, but I am thinking of taking Rodgers in round 3 if you can get him and I took RB's in rounds 1-2. At that point WR is a crap shoot, so why not lock in top QB production? I took WRs in the next 3 rounds, 3 very good players but with injury histories, 1 or 2 will probably get hurt, 1 or 2 give me the production I need.

I really want to study the Bradshaw/Richardson/Bernard/Vareen because those guys could give great production for where they are drafted. Vareen is available in every draft. He didn't do a lot last year but the Pats offense needs playmakers. Ridley went from a few hundred yards to 1200, so can Vareen have a similar production jump? Don't you think Bernard gets the start over BJGE, he's a lot more talented, if so he is drafted at a good spot.

In a league with QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex I really like this team. I have 4 starting RB to play matchups. I start 2 WR, and I have 3 decent but injury prone ones.

    Pick 5
    CJ. Spiller RB
    B. Marshall WR
    J. Graham TE
    P. Manning QB
    J. Nelson WR
    A. Bradshaw RB
    S. Vareen RB
    M. Austin WR
    M. Vick QB
    S. Rice WR
    B. Pierce RB
    F. Jackson RB
    Pitt D
    K

    QB: Manning, Vick
RB: Spiller, Bradshaw, Vareen, B. Pierce, F. Jackson
    WR: B. Marshall, J. Nelson. M. Austin, S. Rice
    TE. J. Graham
    D. Pitt
    K

So I never got one of those top 5 super elite WRs and I wanted to try and get one, Brandon Marshall is #2 on my draft board but it wasn't worth it in the end. I also took Jimmy Graham and it killed me. Ahmad Bradshaw as a RB 2 isn't good enough on paper. If this is my team then HIM or Vareen HAS to pan out OR I have to grab a great RB on the waiver wire. So then I end up dropping, B. Pierce, F. Jackson, who were wasted draft picks as I hope for an injury. At end end of my draft I'd much rather take a chance on a young WR like Kenny Britt or Justin Blackmon to mature and give me good production than taking a known backup RB and pray for injuries to come along. For that reason I want 4 RBs in the first 9 or so rounds.

Since I like CJ Spiller so much I might as well think about drafting F. Jackson to handcuff him. Something I hadn't considered before.

People went RB crazy in this draft but sometimes that happens. I think in these mocks you have smart drafters who draft a certain way. Then you go to your real draft and you have some squares. How do the squares draft? They are more QB centric. Rodgers/Brees/P. Manning/Brady/Kaepernick/R. Wilson/RGIII will get "over drafted" in real life compared to mock drafts.

So far I am thinking this is my game plan.

Round 1 - best available RB, I like CJ Spiller and Trent Richardson more than most so a mid/late pick is better for me.
Round 2 - best available RB unless Calvin Johnson is there or maybe Brandon Marshall pick depending.
Round 3- If A. Rodgers/Brees are there otherwise best WR or RB.

At this point I probably have 2 RB and 1 WR

Round 4 - QB/WR/RB - maybe I should consider Gronk at this point if there are a lot of similar talented WRs.

Round 5 - If Gronk is there, otherwise QB/WR/RB - Probably get a W. Welker, Decker, Nicks, Amendola type guy

Rounds 6-9. Bradshaw, Bernard, Richardson, Vareen

Rounds 10-13. Lance Moore, Kenny Britt, Justin Blackmon, Owen Daniels if he's still around

Backup QB - Rivers, Cutler, maybe Alex Smith

    D

    Kicker

Everybody says to take a Kicker or D in the last 2 rounds, for that reason I might go
Kicker 3rd to last round and get my pick, a strong legged dome kicker on a good offense is preferable.
Defense in 2nd to last round and get a better pick
Backup QB in last round, different bye week than my starting QB.

    Pick 1

    A. Peterson RB
    J. Jones WR
    D. Thomas WR - should have went for Peyton Manning at this pick IMO
    Matt Ryan QB
    Eric Decker WR
    D. Richardson RB
    G. Bernard RB
    K. Britt WR
    O. Daniels TE
    E. Manning QB
    L. Bell RB - Wasted pick, he will be injured for 2 months
    J. Blackmon WR
    D. Akers K
    K. Moreno RB
    Pitt D

    QB: Matt Ryan, Eli Manning
RB: Adrian Peterson, D. Richardson, G Bernard, L Bell, K. Moreono
    WR: J. Jones, D. Thomas, E. Decker, K Britt, J. Blackmon
    TE: O. Daniels
    K D. Akers
    D Pitt

In a 3 WR, 2RB league I like it. One of my RB 2's is going to pan out, or I can play match ups, and I have excellent WRs. In a 2 RB, 2 WR 1 flex league I don't like it as much as I have to start 3 WR and RB's earn more points.

    Pick 12

    Ridley RB
    C. Johnson RB
    C. Newton QB
    A. Johnson WR
    Gronk TE
    A. Bradshaw RB
    D. Richardson RB
    S. Johnson WR
    S. Rice WR
    L. Bell RB - wasted picik
    J. Blackmon WR
    B. Meyers TE
    J. Cutler QB
    D. Akers
    Defense

    QB: C. Newton, J. Cutler
    RB: S. Ridley, C. Johnson, A. Bradshaw, D. Richardson, L. Bell
    WR: A. Johnson, S. Johnson, S. Rice, J. Blackmon
    TE: Gronk, B. Meyers
    K. D. Akers
    Defense

I want to say away from running QB's Kaepernick and Russell Wilson. I would draft Cam Newton/RG3 under the right circumstances. I took Newton last year and got burned by him. I could still see him having games with 240 yards passing, 2 TD 1 INT, 60 rushing yards 1 TD. That's pretty good.

I like my RB's and TE's a lot. Gronk might miss part of the early year, but don't you want him around come fantasy playoff time? I think Brett Meyers will be a solid fantasy starting TE in his absence.

WR2, WR3 are weak but then again I will be getting points from TE on a weekly basis when most owners hope for 60 yards and a TD.

    Pick 4

    CJ Spiller RB
    B. Marshall WR
    D. Wilson RB
    E. Decker WR
    Gronk TE
    D. Richardson RB
    RG III QB
    L. Bell RB
    L. Moore WR
    E. Manning QB
    S. Rice WR
    J. Blackmon WR
    Janikowski K
    D
    Backup TE

    QB: RG III, Eli Manning
RB: CJ Spiller, D. Wilson, D. Richardson, L. Bell
    WR: B. Marshall, E. Decker, L. Moore, J. Blackmon
    TE: Gronk, Backup TE
    K. Janikowski
    D

RGIII in round 7 isn't bad risk reward. I think Eli in round 10 is pretty good to counter balance that. The Giants O-Line should be better, Nicks should be healthier, and Wilson is more explosive than Bradshaw.

I personally like Spiller and Wilson a lot. In a flex league I'd want more at RB.

I am taking L. Bell off my draft board, I'd rather take somebody like K. Moreono, or Bryce Brown since L. McCoy is an injury risk.

So here were some draft dilemmas.
RG3 or Luck? I took RG3 but I think Luck is going to improve and be better than people think this year. I should target him more.

    B. Marshall, Julio Jones, or Chris Johnson?

    Gronk/Welker?

    Pick 9
Trent Richardson RB - Jamal Charles was still on the board but I love T. Richardson
    B. Marshall WR - Chris Johnson went 1 pick before me, I would have taken him.
    D. Wilson RB
    P. Manning QB
    Gronk TE
    A. Bradshaw RB
    D. Richardson RB
    T. Austin WR
    L. Moore WR
    O Daniels TE
    S. Rice WR
    Bryce Brown RB
    A. Smith QB
    Baltimore D
    Kicker

    QB: P. Manning, Alex Smith
RB: Trent Richardson, David Wilson, A. Bradshaw, D. Richardson, Bryce Brown
    WR: B. Marshall, T. Austin, L. Moore, S. Rice
    TE: Gronk, Owen Daniels
    K pick a kicker
    D Baltimore

I didn't draft my WR2 until round 8 which is too long. WR is deep but the talent level already dropped off. In rounds 3-7 I took 3 running backs, 1 QB and 1 TE, so was it worth it?

I think Peyton Manning 1 year back from injury, with that talent at WR is worth a 4th rounder. He could put up equal or better numbers as Rodgers/Brees but get picked 1 round later. He's clearly better than Brady/M. Ryan and more dependable than the running QBs. I am thinking of targeting Manning in round 4, or waiting and taking somebody else later.

    I love my running backs.

I love my tight ends. Owen Daniels is my backup and he could end up being a top 5 TE. When Gronk comes back I can trade him.

I like my WR1, WR3, WR4 but WR2 is weak but you can't have everything right?

I get to this point in round 5 where I am asking myself, Eric Decker, Gronk, or Wes Welker? I think it highly depends on the format of the league, 3WR or 2 WR and a Flex. I've been going with Gronk.

I think rounds 5-8 matter a lot. I like getting guys like Gronk, Wes Welker, Eric Decker, Ahmad Bradshaw, G. Bernard, D. Richardson.

I read that the Texans may bring him along slowly to start season. Good news is he is off the PUP and practicing.

I really don't want to draft him, so I hope someone drafts him before my first round pick comes.

Last year I picked Ray Rice at #1 over Foster. Just something about that injury bug hanging over Foster's head.

And what do you know, at #7 he was still there yesterday in my main league, so I took a chance with him. Possible #2 pick at #7, that is the good way at looking at it.

Last year I picked Ray Rice at #1 over Foster. Just something about that injury bug hanging over Foster's head.
If you don't like somebody you shouldn't draft them.

You do your homework, you follow the mocks. If Doug Martin is a consensus #2 pick, and you like CJ Spiller who is ranked say #5, I still think you take your guy. The expert ratings all get turned upsidedown anyway.

In one mock I "waited" on taking a QB. My RB depth was excellent, my WRs were very good, so I ended up drafting 3 QBs and would expect to play matchups with them. How do you like that idea? Let's say you get Josh Freeman as your QB3 and he's playing New Orleans, that's a pretty good start right there when somebody else's QB who they drafted in round 2-4 could be playing SF or SEA.
