    One mistake to Freese and no run support was the tale last night. Was still a solid effort from the rookie.

    It looks like s stint on the Disabled List is coming.


    MLB.com's Tom Singer said Gerrit Cole is a candidate for a trip to the disabled list with shoulder fatigue.

    Cole was originally scheduled to start on Monday against the Cubs, but the Pirates pushed Charlie Morton back to start in his spot. Cole has been noticeably worse late in outings recently, so shoulder fatigue could be contributing to that. Jeff Locke will be recalled to start for Morton on Sunday, so he would presumably remain in the rotation in Cole's spot if the big right-hander needs a DL stint.
