Dude!! It is fantasy baseball! What do you expect?

I still want to hear from someone who has cashed out over $2000 from draftday or the other site. has anyone actually received a payout that large?

Eventually these sites will start stiffing customers just like the books do

Don't see the comparison to offshore. Fantasy is a regulated and legal entity.

Just because it is legal does not mean they will have the money to pay you. As competition increases I would not be surprised if one of these sights will go under.

Their model is a lot different than a sportsbook, obviously. These guys have the sportsbook dream, they always win. They just take a small % of every game's entry fee.

Of course, they need enough people at their site to cover their overhead and make a profit....and some of them mess up by offering really good contests that don't end up paying for themselves due to low entry numbers.

Bottom line is, if these sites have the traffic (BIG if), they are playing a can't lose game.

Actually I have cashed out much more than that, and know guys that have collected much more than that. In fact this summer I have qualified in Draftdays BIG League Blast tourney and guaranteed 1k to 50k. We will see how that goes, but the site seems pretty stable. I do think some fly by nights have started up and people need to watch themselves. But heck look how many thug garbage sportsbooks have come and gone over the last 15 years and stiffed. Honestly one of the reasons I give more action to yokels now, than offshore

I played fanduel last year. Set up between 3-5 teams a day and signed them up each for five 3 or 5 player games at a time to reduce variance. Had to stagger them to be set at different times of the day to reduce the chance of facing the same guy setting multiple lineups. Hunted for values using splits and used Vegas lines to help set the lineups. I was making a reasonably good profit over the course of a few months, but just took up too much freaking time. Not only did the setting of the lineups take hours but I had to watch MLB lineups like a hawk to make sure my players weren't sitting. Gave up fantasy baseball this year to take a break from it after playing it every year since 1995. Can't say I regret it.

What disturbs me is how many others have exceeded the salary cap in the past weeks or months.
I pay attention to my teams, and who's ahead of me, but I (and I think countless others) don't check the total salary of everybody teams.
I mean, it would take all day to check every team in a 200 team GPP

DraftStreet is run by unethical thieves

I stopped playing there early last football season. Their site froze up for an entire hour before noon kickoff on an NFL sunday. No one could edit their teams so the site canceled the games and refunded everyones buyins. This was the correct and fair thing to do. Then they reversed their decision five minutes later and debited the buyins from everyones accounts. DraftStreet management is scum. The fantasy sports world will be better off once people stop playing there and their cheap godaddy hosted site disappears from the scene. If you have money on there get it off now.

hope they fix this, its kind of like "taking a shot" at a book...player is somehow able to go around the system and have more than the allowed salary, they do so...question is, do they get voided for it?

    Hello All,

Sorry for the delay. We are aware of the entries with salaries totaling over $100K from last night's leagues. There was a temporary glitch that allowed users to build rosters with illegal salary totals. I would like to clarify that there was no cheating involved, there was no hacking, and this was simply an error on our part. The glitch was quickly fixed, and any entries with invalid salaries have been disqualified and their league fees will be refunded. If you have additional questions on this matter, or anything else related to DraftStreet, please feel free to email me directly at michael@draftstreet.com.

why are their league fees refunded, it's no different then having an invalid roster. Last time I checked, if you don't fill your roster you don't get a refund and rightfully so..

We refunded their league entries because this was an error on our part. The system did not recognize these rosters as being invalid, and subsequently, these users were not notified upon saving that the roster was invalid. We felt that in this case, the users in question should not suffer from our glitch.

draft street is good people...this was a bug.

but the main problem with draft street is they don't have enough traffic. I am sitting at $500 tables for fantasy basketball and no one shows up for several weeks. Even at lower stakes like $100, there are not many people.

I got turned off by this and cashed out.

Though I got a nice hand written letter from draftstreet. It was a nice gesture.

My friend made over $20k last year from daily fantasy. I've cashed out $1k+ from Draftday. Games are tough to beat, but being stiffed isn't an issue. These places send the payment via paypal the next day (sometimes even same day).
