    dont trade him for gattis, he will lose a lot of playing time once mccann is back. if you have a spot right now pick up a catcher who is hot..use him until posey heats up

    Why would anyone "hate" having Posey? He is head and shoulders above all other catchers in MLB and frankly it's not even close. Find another catcher that you can pencil in for 15-20 HR, 100 RBI and .300 BA with a lot of at-bats because Posey plays first base when he is "off".

    srssly, trade him for anything you get; he struck out so he must not be worth having on your team; even if you can't trade him he's batting 231 so you may as well just drop him.

    You know once McCann gets back Gattis gets reduced to part timer.
    Also, Gattis is 2 for his last 19, he was a flash in the pan for two weeks, .391 down to .261, will continue to nose dive to the .240's or so.
    He's got the attention of all MLB pitchers after his flash start, they are getting him out regularly all week, and will continue to do so.
    Plus he's a crappy OBA guy, barely over .300 on base percentage.

    Posey is a proven .310 hitter in the bigs.
    I know he's frustrating owners because he's hitting .217, he's not going to wind up .220, even if he winds up at .280 by the break, which I think he will, that means he'll hit .320 between then and now.

    Ridiculous to trade a MVP catcher for a AA catcher who was hot for 2 weeks and will never get that hot this season again. Not even close.

    If I owned Gattis, and I was offered Posey for him straight up, I'd pull the trigger on that deal 101 times out of 100
