Atlanta will pick up a bigger back to replace Turner. Rogers is a nice back and runs tougher than his size but isn't suited for 20-25 touches a game against NFL defenses.

Good move by ATL in cutting Turner. Would think they bring in a new back to help Rodgers carry the rock.

Gotta think they'll draft a RB to replace Turner. I dont think Rodgers will have the durability to handle a full season by himself.

I think Ahmad Bradshaw would be the perfect fit for Atlanta but they will likely draft a RB in the early rounds.

It doesn't help him out much other than probably a few more carries. He really did nothing this past year when given a chance to run the ball and play more downs. Atlanta probably signs a free agent and Rogers maintains his basic backup role.

Your dumb fat ass was calling him a good pick last year.

Steven Jackson will get a long look from Atlanta and they'll definitely add a kid in draft.

looks like SJax...although whats the point in dumping turner for sjax?? two aging RBs at the tail end of their careers....although turner was pretty bad last yr...I also read they want to target Lacy in the draft but that could be wishful thinking

    1) Money, Turner was scheduled to make 7m this year, Acquiring Jackson the Falcons will be able to structure the deal to save money.
    2) Future, Turner looked awful last year and Jackson is a year younger, getting two years out of Jackson (which Turner looks wildly incapable of doing) will allow the Falcons to spend a midround pick on a back or to look around next years FAs
    3) Style, Turner is useless in the passing game, He set career highs with 19 catches and 1 recTD last year, Jackson has caught over 40 per year the last 3. The falcons offense, as run, needs a back capable of catching passes especially if Gonzales retires.
    4) Draft, Jackson allows them to spend early picks on defense, which with cutting Abraham from and already bad defense is desperately needed

Jaquizz will be a Flex player on a bad team at best, unless your in a 40 team league Jaquizz shouldn't even be considered in the 2nd round

And that's that. Unless your league has individual kick returners.

Jackson a definite improvement over Turner, should have 1 or 2 good years left..he's definitely lost some speed but runs harder than ever..

There is no way that Rodgers get enough touches to be a good p/u this year. He just wont see the field enough

I don't see Jackson as an improvement I love the guy, but he's no better at this point than Turner. I hope he proves me wrong, because the guys been fun to watch in the past. They've both lost more than a step.

Jackson is not what he was but he was still a lot better than Turner was last season.

He'll be better than Turner, too many nagging injuries though. I've had him a few times in the last few years, always misses time for muscle pulls.

Agreed. Jackson still has some pop to his game. Turner is too slow.
