That's where I would go, but never get the first pick.

Yeah, I guess one counter would be that AP will not duplicate last years season.

I'm in a keeper league with 6 players. So my #1 is roughly the 20th RB available. Peterson is locked up for good.

To this thread I don't think you can go wrong with him.

Depends on the league, some leagues now QB's destroy RB's and WR's in points. But ya, I'd take AP at the top spot most likely.

Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster and Ray Rice should be the top 3 picks in that order.

Peterson will be popular choice for good reason but Lynch and Gronk are going to post big numbers too. Wouldn't shock me if San Fran utilizes James as much as Gore either.

    Let's not forget Sanchez either.

I think I'm done taking a RB so high. They always f me over, a guy like Rodgers, brees, or Brady is a sure thing.

Has to be AP or Arian followed by ray rice Shady Mccoy now with chip in philly doug martin etc sure qbs are a sure thing but QB is mass deep next year name a bad starting qb? Most ppl play 10-14 team man leagues so the worst qb you would come out with is a flacco and he is in the super bowl lol point proven... taken a rb and wait til the 3rd-5th round to get a qb your be okay

depends on the scoring system, but I would most likely favor Peterson over Rogers in most league formats..

Like TTO said, in some leagues quarterbacks put up a lot more points than running backs so one of the elite QBs might be a solid first choice in some leagues. Even if your league favors running backs, Foster still has to be there at 1 because of the way the Texans run the ball like 66% of the time, get leads a lot more often than Minnesota, and they like to throw it out to Foster as well. I don't think Peterson is as involved in the passing game which hurts a little even though he's a damn monster on the ground. Love both, I'm just saying it's not as clear-cut as some make it out to be.

im weary of foster coming off a few seasons now with sooo many carries....AP is just a freak of nature, shreds his knee then almost breaks the rushing record? i dont see how you cant go with him #1

It's a good point. Minny could regress a ton next year, and AP isn't going to get anywhere near the number of carries he did this year if they go 5-11 or 6-10 next season.

It totally depends on the league! I'm in 2 and in one is rb heavy scoring so ap wouldbe a top pick. In the other qbs are equal in points and usually more dependable.

I think you Take AP - maybe you Foster.

If you're picking 1st and you grab a QB #1 in a 10 team league, by the time your at next pick your left with like th 12th or 13th best RB as several will take 2 RBs by the time you pick again so you wind up hoping Matt Forte can turn it around or that Chris Johnson can find consistency as you number one back?

If you wait, in the 3-5 round players like Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck or Eli Manning will be available at QB

AP will be top 5 but no way should he be going first overall. Ray Rice, Mccoy and Foster should all still be drafted over Peterson as Peterson is bound to regress after having a monster season. If your considering drafting Rodgers first overall in a standard league please let me know which league you are playing in. No doubt Rodgers will be the first QB off the board but he is losing a receiver in Jennings plus Brees will have a bounce back year even though he was solid last year and he will put up even better numbers next season with the return of his coach.

In a non-PPR, probably Peterson. PPR league then some of the backs Easy mentioned above are a better option.

Drafting a QB in the first two rounds is dumb in my opinion. Did it this year and I really regretted not picking up a WR or RB instead. I would have been happy taking Ryan or Romo round 5-7 instead.

Even with some regression, AP is a better RB than those guys. Rice doesn't get the TDs that AP does, Mccoy is coming off a disaster of a season with a new coach and new QB so who knows what's going on there. This wasn't AP's first great year, he's had a bunch of them.
