    Kaepernick a good pick?

I literally just got into football this year with my brother getting me into his fantasy league.

I'm doing fantastic, almost clinched the bye week for the playoffs.

My concern is I have Matt Ryan as my QB but Falcons are pretty close to clinching the bye week, and if they do then they would bench Ryan till the playoffs. I have Flaco as my back-up but he's incredibly inconsistent and Kaepernick is available for pick up, wondering if it might be worth it to pick him up on the chance they start him the rest of the season.

It feels like a bit of a gamble. If they do start Smith the pick would be wasted. If I wait to see if he plays Sunday someone else might pick him up.

Just curious if I can get any opinions

TL;DR Kaepernick to replace Flaco as back-up QB in case Ryan is benched?

Kaepernick is a better choice than Flacco

Kaepernick has looked pretty strong so far, this kid could have a nice career ahead of him...

better choice then Flacco, as long as he is not used to "manage the game"

drop flacco for kapernick, no question. i'd even think about starting kaepernick if ryan continues his slide...if he can only put up 10 or so points against the saints D, that could be trouble down the stretch
