Waiver Pick Up: Marcel Reece or Felix Jones

Who should I pick up in terms of the better start for week 10? I should probably own both since I own both DeMarco Murray and McFadden. I think Reece has a great matchup, I just don't know if they plan to use him as a running back in week 10.

    Felix Jones @ Phili
    Marcel Reece @ Baltimore

I would go Reece solely because Jones is not 100% himself

I picked up Reece in 1 league, Jones isn't 100%. Baltimore Defense isn't that strong any more.

If you're in a deep league and that desperate for a running back... how about Daniel Thomas

Has played more snaps than Bush the past 2 weeks

Dolphins could build a huge lead at home and run it down the Titans's throats

Garbage time would be an added bonus for Thomas owners

    Tennessee run D is weak

Damn I'm in a pickle. I can't have more than 7 RB's on my team. I would have to drop Redman for Reece. I wish I knew more about the RB situations in Oakland and Pit before making this move. Might just lay off for now.

Anyone got any info or insights on the Pit running situation? Sounds like Mendy will be out, but Dwyer will be back. With PIT playing the Chiefs, I could see them running the ball 35-40 times.

Can you list you 7 current RBs? And how many do you start?

Pick up Vereen or Woodhead if available instead. Tubby said to never take a NE rb. Do the opposite of him and you will win.

The only reason why I own 7 RB's is because of injuries.

My RB's are: DMC, DeMarco Murray, Alfred, LeShoure, Jennings, Fred Jackson, and Redman. DMC and DeMarco are most likely out for this week, and Alfred is on bye. I'm most likely going to be starting LeShoure and Jennings along with either Redman or Reece, depending on their situations.

Waivers just went through a couple hours ago and Reece wasn't picked up.

I would say Felix Jones. Philly's run D is awful. Plus, the Ravens will be winning most of the game so Palmer will be throwing much more often than running the ball.

Marcel Reece is technically a RB for fantasy purposes but doesn't get carries. Look at his stats, he only catches balls out of the backfield. So that situation of the Raiders falling behind could actually be an advantage for him.

Jones is the epitome of a flake. Too injury-prone and not durable enough to get more than 15 carries. Reece will be involved in passing game which gives him some value this week.

But will they use Reece in the run game? I need to decide between Reece and Redman. I'm not even going to consider Felix Jones. I'm done with that bum.

The San Francisco Chronicle believes Taiwan Jones will be the Raiders' starting running back against the Ravens.
Beat writer Vittorio Tafur is connecting the dots with the Raiders appearing unlikely to sign a free agent back in the absence of Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, but most signs have suggested FB Marcel Reece will be the lead dog in the Raiders' backfield this weekend. However, Reece does have only one rushing attempt on the season compared to 26 catches. Even if Jones — who's carried the ball just one time this season, as well — ends up with more rushes than Reece, we fully expect Reece to tally more touches. He's the add in fantasy leagues, at least until we see how things play out on the field.

    Redman
    Reece
    Jones

    In that order

I haven't paid too much attention to the Pit backfield this year. I know Mendy is the starting RB when he is healthy, but who usually draws the start and more carries between Dwyer and Redman when Mendy is out?

He needs somebody for this week only with his guys on a bye, so nothing wrong with taking a chance on Reece

I'd still go with Reeece. He is expected to get more touches than Taiwan even if Jones starts. Problem with Redman is that Dwyer is back this week, so it is too iffy who will get the bulk of the work.

Lance Dunbar was seeing some touches too for the Cowboys. So you can't rely on Fragile Jones.

I would go M.Reece out of these two. He will be in there for passing situations, which will probably be most of the time.

Since everyone started calling him that, "Fragile" Jones has tallied up about 20 fantasy points in 2 complete games... Dunbar is ineffective.

Mendenhall might also return this week, but even if he doesnt, Dwyer looks to be ready to go and that will probably cut down on Redman's touches.

Reece is a much better option in a PPR league.

Not even considering Felix anymore. I need to decide between Redman and Reece at my flex. Going to wait to see Friday's news before I decide anything. Just hoping to get more clarity on the RB situation in Pit.

gotta go with redman, the oakland RBs are such a longshot and redman has a cakewalk matchup and he is the starting RB (all signs pointing that way at least) the two oakland guys, really just a toss up i dont think they will run much anyway when they are behind

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Redman is expected to start against the Chiefs. Good news for me. Going to roll with Redman.

Felix not playing well but up against a weak defense he could have a breakout week.
