    Up by 1 point... sit or start final player?

    So basically I am up by 1 point, and still have Andre Johnson to play tonight... my opponent has no one left to play. Do I bench Andre Johnson just in case he fumbles and gets hurt on like his first catch? Or do I play him just in case there is some annoying scoring adjustment and I end up losing a point or two when they adjust the stats...

    What do you guys typically do in a situation like this?

    Man, I have a hard time believing Andre Johnson would get negative points. I think it's more likely that there will be some lame scoring adjustment than that he would somehow get negative points. Plus, most leagues offer some sort of payout if you get the most points for the year. Dunno if yours is set up that way or not. Either way...congrats on the win this week!

    thanks guys, appreciate the advice. As far as total points go as a tie breaker to get into the playoffs or whatnot, I managed to actually tie in week 2 or 3 (with Espn's stupid scoring system...) so I doubt I'll end up in a situation where total points is going to help/hurt me.

    Anyways, I'll be playing him!

    yeah, Johnson has been a disappointment so far... got like 1 total point tonight

    teams have just been going so far out of their way to shut him down, its annoying to say the least

    I was up 6 in a league with my opponent having both Andre and Greene going tonight while I had nobody left. Thought I had no chance. Still won the matchup by 2 as both guys were awful.

    The other guy had nobody left. He mentioned in in Post #1. But still, you have to consider playoff tiebreakers, and you had to believe going in that Andre was more likely to help in that regard than score negative points.

    oh, i missed htat. I thought he said his opponent had one left to play. If he didnt have anyone left to play then I would have benched the guy. a win is more important for getting into the playoffs than a few points for the tiebreaker.

    yeah I wound up playing him in case there was a scoring change

    Also, I really was not worried about any playoff tiebreakers since I actually wound up with a tie one week, so there is really not much of a chance I'll wind up with the same record as anybody, but hey, who knows, weirder stuff has happened in FF
