The buy-ins are going to be cheap, as of right now I am thinking 50 points.

I want to price it to get more involved, and to encourage those that may be trying fantasy football for the first time.

TT, don't be afraid to ask for help. There are some pretty good psychiatric hospitals out there. Remember the first step to getting better is asking for help. Denial is just a river in Egypt.

I would be interested in joining Martin, should be a great success. I was going to suggest we use cbssports.com, as it really is the best fantasy site out there when it comes to full league, season-based fantasy play but I forgot to realize there is a $160 fee for the commissioner version of the site. They still do have a free version where we can have a private sbr league but it's not as customizable (the worst part being only 4 teams make playoffs and they don't give you a ton of roster space).

Check it out anyway if you'd like to see the scoring/roster/lineups and such. We could still do the free version but our options would be slightly limited. All the other great features of the site would be the same: clean, easy to use site; great draft room; post custom stories/pictures on the homepage; very quick updating scores with a real time chat room attached to game center; unlimited mock drafts at each 1-12 position that are saved for you records.

Maybe sbr would put up the fee for the custom version , they even keep league history and records.
Guess we're relegated to yahoo, not as bad as nfl.com fantasy that's dreadful.

I would be interested in joining Martin, should be a great success. Could I strongly suggest we use CBSSPORTS.COM, have been using it for over 6 years and it's a very clean, easy to use site with very quick updating scores. They have an updating news feed on player info and you can even post custom stories/pictures on the homepage about anything you want ("Martin's team shooting the Blanks falls to 0-5" haha just messing wanted to give an example). They have a real time chat box at the bottom of game center for all to use and talk.

I have used yahoo.com and nfl.com (really trash) and they simply cannot compare. Have not used espn but I seriously doubt it's better than cbssports. They literally run thousands of leagues (pay and free), I have never had any trouble or issues with the site. The draft room is great looking, straight forward and easy to use. You can customize each league to however you need it.

Another great feature is you can do as many mock drafts (with real people) as you want at each draft position (1-12) and it will actually save a log of it so you can go back over how you drafted and such, maybe test your strategies. Don't want to be too pushy here just feel strongly about this. Hope you will consider if the decision has not been made already, thanks for running this.

I have no problems with CBS as our server.

To be fair, if no one has any real objection-----I will use CBSSports.com for the league.

Yahoo has been good to me as well. Their free version includes stat tracker.

I forgot there is a fee for the custom version of the site but we still can do the free version if people don't mind only 4 teams making the playoffs, that's really the biggest issue I would think. We may not have the option to use a flex either (QB/2RB/3WR/TE/K/DEF), the scoring is standard I don't think people would mind that. And there may only be 5 reserve spots, which is not a ton and would leave some good depth on waivers. If people don't mind the playoff issue, then I say it would be great. I'd recommend the members to go to cbssports and read about the free league scoring system and such to get all the info so we're on the same page. If it's too much trouble with this, I guess yahoo is fully customizable and free.

You can do free customized leagues at ESPN. My two SBR leagues have two different rules.

Not that big of a deal, I will look at all ESPN/Yahoo/CBS tonight---and post tomorrow about which I think will meet our needs.

Yes no doubt Onlooker is very sharp in Fantasy Football, i sent him some points after last season because his advise helped me win 1 $$$ league against some friends and 1 points league here at SBR. Looking forward to this season Onlooker.

Guys, I am going to create a new thread----to update what I created on ESPN.

The idea behind this is to get as many guys as possible to join, and to have fun. I am going to manage the leagues----but I am going to run this as democratically as possible.

If you guys don't like the scoring, or setup-----everything is open for discussion.
