To the surprise of no one, Brady will appeal.

Tom Brady will appeal his four-game DeflateGate suspension.

"The discipline is ridiculous and has no legitimate basis," Brady's agent Don Yee said. "In my opinion, this outcome was pre-determined; there was no fairness in the Wells investigation whatsoever. There is no evidence that Tom directed footballs be set at pressures below the allowable limits. ... We will appeal, and if the hearing officer is completely independent and neutral, I am very confident the Wells Report will be exposed as an incredibly frail exercise in fact-finding and logic. The NFL has a well-documented history of making poor disciplinary decisions that often are overturned when truly independent and neutral judges or arbitrators preside." There's a pretty good chance Brady's suspension will be reduced.

Big difference with Cassel, his contract was up and Pats had to slap the franchise tag to get some trade value, there was no way the Pats could hold on to Cassel anyway. Garapolo still has 3 or 4 years left on his deal. Plus Brady will be 37 this year, how many more years does Brady realistically have left? Garapolo is also the highest pick for the Pats since Bledsoe, they are going to give Garapolo a realistic shot to be Brady's heir groomed behind Brady like Aaron Rodgers was groomed behind Favre. If Garapolo shows much of anything, we might see Brady pushed out the door just like Favre or Montana. Time stops for no man and Brady's days are numbered anyway.

I don't see Brady's suspension getting cut unless he starts to cooperate. He'll have to give up the phone.

If the balls were under inflated to an extent that it gave them un unfair advantage, why wouldnt a game official notice this during the game????
