    If they trusted Cam Newton they could have made a real try for the TD before kicking the FG. But the chances he would do something stupid and turn it over were too great. He probably could have run the ball up the middle like a FB again and scored. I guess they told him to just make sure he didn't fumble no matter what though.

    If Cam had a brain, they could have even thrown it. Just run the same play as the one where he took a step forward like he was running it and then threw to the wide, wide open guy on that earlier 4th and goal (throw was low, incomplete, yeah Newton sucked).

    But this is college, not NFL. I wouldn't trust one of these meatheads either.

    I didn't wager on the outcome of the game and found it overall to leave me unsatisfied. The 2nd quarter was fun, but otherwise there was about a 2% WOW factor to that game. Wasn't expecting a shootout, but the whole game felt pretty disjointed to me. Maybe it was good defense, but I found myself bored to tears in the 2nd half until the last 4-5 minutes.
