Miles will take the job is offered. He is a "Michigan Man." Only the Michigan AD and president can screw this up now (and they can screw it up, believe me).

I know an entrepreneur who played defensive line for Schembechler in the early 70's, and you would not believe the connection he (and his teammates) feel to the Michigan football program (the way it was - not the RichRod version). As he constantly points out to me, they only lost 3 games in 4 years (including that tie with Ohio State).

My question: if this all pans out, and Bo Pelini decides to coach LSU, who is the new coach at Nebraska?

Either way, Michigan can't make another Rich Rod mistake...going to have to get a quality coach who can recruit. I wonder if they have called Gary Pinkel from Missouri.

I dont see why some of the LSU fans in our state (LA) dont respect Miles like they should... Yes LSU fans, Jimbo Fisher, Bo Pelini, John Gruden, Nick Saban, Chris Peterson, Bill Cowher, and Urban Meyer ALL want to coach LSU as their dream job. SUUUUREEEEE

I hope Miles leaves and yall get a shitty coach. God forbid, Miles only won a National Championship... yeah he's terrrrible

Michigan's talent level is clearly way down. Do they even have a defense? They have no shot at the BCS next year. It will take several years for Miles to fix Michigan and LSU fans are crazy for wanting Miles gone. You can't argue with his record. He knows how to win.

Miles would be foolish to leave his situation in Baton Rouge. The money Michigan could offer is not nearly worth the years of rebuilding he'd have to put in just to mold the team in his image. He makes $3.8 mil a year; I'm sure he could re-negotiate if Michigan offers him somewhere b/t 4.5-5 if he wanted and get it. Miles shouldn't go anywhere, live the dream in Baton Rouge and forget about the rubble in Ann Arbor...

Yep, he won a National Championship with SABAN'S Recruits. He's a trickster like Chip Kelly, and its only so long before that crap catches up with you...ask Chipper.

It wont take much to appease Michigan fans. I think they finally lost the delusion that they are a powerhouse. Michigan fans will be thumping their chest if they manage to go 8-4 next year. Whenever I talk to a Michigan fan, they all bring up records that were mostly accounted for in the late 1800's and early 1900's. That's what this program hangs its hat on. Things that happened 100 years ago.

When? In 2020 after they've been through 6 more coaches? That's about a silly as saying Auburn is going to win the National Championship again next year.

Deuce, he just used it as a bargaining tool again. That's all. He's smart. Why leave a top SEC school where the talent rolls in & guaranteeing 9 wins a year to go to Michigan which will take a total overhaul. If they get Hoke it will be a great hire. He's an "on the rise", hungry guy and will do a great job there.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva says Les Miles is remaining as the Tigers' coach.

Miles met with officials from Michigan on Monday evening about the Wolverines head coaching job and Alleva says Miles notified him on Tuesday morning that he's staying in Baton Rouge.

Miles has a 61-17 record, five bowl victories and one national title with the Tigers in the previous six seasons.

Rich Rodriguez last week was fired as Michigan coach with a 15-22 mark in three seasons.

It's good for college football for Michigan to have a good team. I think they learned their lesson & will hire someone that runs out of the I and has good defensive teams. That's Michigan football. Nebraska learned a similar lesson. It happens.
