Starting to feel real confident with these college totals plays. Add these tasty treats to your Halloween bag.....
MISSISSIPPI STATE/KENTUCKY - UNDER 56-
The Wildcats have gone over the total 7 straight games. The Bulldogs are aware of this. Their game plan will be to play to their strength, the ground game, and keep Kentucky off the field. State will pound the rock all day, moving the chains and the clock. Under.
IOWA STATE/KANSAS - UNDER 56
Tough times for Kansas fans. Ah well, basketball is right around the corner. Gotta believe the Jayhawks will give it all they've got this week. If they have any designs to keep this one close, they better do it with defense. Last week their top 2 QBs got injured. The Cyclones meanwhile might still be a bit hungover after last week's upset of Texas. Points will be hard to find.
TULANE/SMU - OVER 53-
Two weak defenses in this one. Last week SMU was torched for 45 points by Houston. Tulane, meanwhile, looked explosive in a 10 point upset of UTEP. Points aplenty here.
GEORGIA/FLORIDA - OVER 48
The Bulldogs have posted over 40 points in each of their last 3 games. The return of WR Green has been the difference. Don't look for them to let off the throttle. This is the first time they've been favored over the Gators in years. Gotta believe Florida used the week off to work on their sputtering offense. The World's Largest Cocktail Party will be a shootout.
UCLA/ARIZONA - UNDER 49-
Weather doesn't usually factor into UCLA games....but they are calling for showers. A bigger factor will be Arizona's tough run defense. The Cats are allowing less than 90 ypg on the ground. The Bruins have struggled offensively all year, averaging only 21 ppg. Starting QB Prince is out. The backup ain't no great shakes.
AIR FORCE/UTAH - OVER 54-
There's gonna be plenty of running in this one. The Utes are averaging 5.7 ypc and Air Force is allowing 5.2 ypc. Utah has to exploit that. The Falcons run on over 90% of their plays. Both teams will move the ball with ease. The Utes have gotten into the habit of running up the score, in an attempt to impress pollsters. If they get the chance, they'll pile it on here.
USC/OREGON - UNDER 72
For the Trojans to have any chance in this one, they'll have to keep Oregon off the field as much as possible. They'll also have to play inspired defense. 72 points is a lot. Fully realize Oregon can light up the scoreboard......but 72 points is a lot! Go against the masses. Under.
As always, best of luck. Harry
