College Football games to watch for 2010

We are a week away from CFL season, and about 60 days until the next NCAA/NFL season.

Lets post games to watch either big games, or good betting games. I will begin with the following

BOISE STATE vs VIRGINIA TECH - This is going to be played at FedEx field in washington and its going to be one of the best games all year!

Oregon State vs TCU at Jerryworld. Oregon State also goes to the Smirfturf so this will be a good indicator if how good the two wanna-be's from the MWC and WAC really are.

Boise State vs Va Tech should be a great game. I would love to see Va Tech win it just to do away with all of the end of season comotion with an undefeated Boise State team.

Gotta love that Boise is at least finally traveling away from the blue turf, during regular season, against a top tier team. Gonna be awesome

It may be a sandwich game, but you had better get Duke with a bunch of points because Duke will not be as good this year as they were last season. Duke must replace it's QB, RB, and has problems along the defensive front line and at LB. 'Bama shold be able to run the ball at will against Duke. This may be interesting for a half, but 'Bama still wins easily.

Sandwich game situation. Everyone will be all over Bama's nuts for this game. I think duke could be, maybe, a 27+ point dog. The new QB is better I think. He had 119 yards on like 15 carries in the spring game and is a Tebow style qb. And the new Rb is going to be just as good the last, middle of the road. Defense does has holes, but what duke defense doesn't? Public will pound the game into a loser.

I do not doubt that there will be a few covers you can get vs Bama this year.

    1. It does not help to run up the score anymore. Saban is pretty smart and will try not to put his players in danger. What does it help to get a player hurt trying to embarrass someone.
    2. The books no everyone likes Alabama. They will be a public fav all year. They probably want see the + sign moneyline the whole season. Bet Late.

I would not be too sure of Ohio State defeating Miami. We all know how lousy Ohio State does against good BCS Non-con teams. The line is -8 now. Miami is a solid play at that line. Someone's Heisman run ends that night. Someone's N.C. hopes also end that night, though neither team has a very good shot at winning the N.C.

I like Miami at the 8. They are are non-traditional at the QB position. Speed will be a + for Miami on the offense and defense side of the ball. Ohio State has a problems with non traditional QB. If Miami's QB can string together a few passes, should be able to hit the number. It is early but +8

Miami will kill themselves with a lack of discipline. The inmates are running the nut house in Miami again. T.Pryor gets set free this season to do what he can do best, just like the bowl game last year. OSU by 7+.

I see Ohio St. winning but do not think they will cover 8. Their conservative approach will have Miami scoring late to cover and Ohio St. running out the clock.

I am looking forward to Florida at Florida State. If Florida State can not defeat Florida in Tallahassee this year, they will never defeat Florida. Florida is down, experience wise if nothing else. Ponder's last game. Fishers first shot at Meyer. The early line is Florida -7.

Early lock will be on UNC over LSU. The game is being played in Atlanta and LSU away from Tiger Stadium has been bad lately (advantage = UNC). Next, UNC's defense will make it extremely difficult for LSU to score with that below average offense (advantage = UNC). Also, LSU's defense is not much of a force and lacks a pass rush (advantage = UNC). And finally, if you give Butch Davis 2 months to prepare for an opponent (especially one coached by Les Myles), he will have his team more than ready to win (advantage = UNC).

Pound UNC + the points and thank me later

P.S. I am an LSU fan, but this is as easy as they come!

4 sure man! OU always gets out the gate fast. They blow teams out in the first half of the season. Jimbo Fisher is not going to turn the 'Noles into a powerhouse anytime soon. Yeah, I agree with your assessment of what the line may be. Sooners should win by at least 2 touchdowns.

LSU has a very good defense, which is far superior than UNC's terrible offense. Their Senior starting QB almost lost his job to a Redshirt Freshman in the spring. Huge advantage LSU in that department. And you are NOT going to get points. You are going to GIVE pints. 3, as of right now. No way to I take UNC and give 3 points in a game that could end 3-0.

LSU has a very good defense? Dude, I have watched many LSU football games and I can tell you first hand, LSU's defense is crap. Just because they got a little lucky in holding a few teams to under 20 points doesn't mean their defense is good. Go back and check your stats and look at how many yards they gave up. They got dominated, not just pushed around, but DOMINATED! All 'good defenses' have a good pass rush as well. LSU doesn't have any push on that defensive front whatsoever. That Senior qb almost lost his job at UNC you say? Reason: That Redshirt Freshman is pretty damn good. Butch Davis should know. I watched that kid play a few high school games. He is a descent qb. If you see UNC giving 3 points as of right now, then that is because Vegas knows what's up. A bigtime SEC team who has won over 75% of their openers over the last 15 years and finished 9-4 last season is an underdog? Maybe they want all the 'squares' to load up on that 'looks too good to be true' LSU getting points . What about Jordan Jefferson? If you think he is good enough to break down that UNC defense, then you are highly mistaken. Butch Davis will give him so many different looks he will end up looking like a JV qb. I am not going to debate this any further, because it is quite obvious that you don't follow LSU or UNC for that matter. You do bring up interesting points in other key matchups though Trying to defend my stance on taking UNC that's all. I'd say that we can both agree on hitting that UNDER heavy though
