    Auburn vs Wisconsin preview

    **Auburn versus Wisconsin**

    –LVSC has Auburn as a 10 1/2-point favorite over Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl from Orlando, with the total listed at 53. ABC Sports will provide coverage of this contest beginning Monday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

    –Wisconsin (9-3 SU, 7-5 ATS) was mired in a two-game SU losing skid (three consecutive ATS) before pounding Hawaii Nov. 25 as a nine-point road ‘chalk,’ 41-24. The combined 65 points failed to topple the 68 1/2-point closing total, helping the ‘under’ occur the third game in a row.

    –The Badgers cruised after jumping out to a 24-10 halftime advantage. Wisconsin finished the contest with advantages in first downs (24-23), rushing yards (249-43), turnovers forced (2-0) and time of possession (33:23-26:37), while trailing in passing yards (403-191).

    –Quarterback John Stocco was 12-of-16 passing for 191 yards with two touchdowns, and Brian Calhoun paced the ground game with 29 carries for 149 yards and a score. Wideout Jonathan Orr enjoyed a solid effort with three receptions for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

    –Auburn (9-2 SU, 8-2 ATS) finished the regular campaign with a four-game SU winning streak (3-1 ATS) after beating Alabama in the Iron Bowl as a seven-point home favorite, 28-18. The combined 46 points eclipsed the 39-point closing total, helping the ‘over’ improve to 4-1 the last five games with a total attached.

    –The Tigers stormed out to 21 points in the first quarter, while failing to produce any points after halftime. Auburn ended the game with advantages in first downs (13-11) and rushing yards (139-33) while trailing in passing yards (155-118), turnovers forced (1-0) and time of possession (32:22-27:38).

    –Signal caller Brandon Cox completed 14-of-21 passes for 118 yards with two touchdowns, and Kenny Irons ran 28 times for 103 yards and a score. Wideout Courtney Taylor had a pair of catches fo 30 yards in the victory.

    –The Tigers doubled up the Badgers back in 2003 as a three-point home ‘chalk,’ 28-14. The combined 42 points went ‘under’ the 46-point closing total.

    –Auburn linebacker Kevin Sears (disciplinary) and running back Carl Stewart (knee) are expected to miss this matchup.

    –Wisconsin running back Booker Stanley (personal) is ‘questionable’ for game against the Tigers.

    –Monday’s forecast for Orlando, Florida calls for partly cloudy skies, with a high of 77 degrees and a low of 59.

    i'm leaning twords Wisconsin, but i doubt if i play it either ILL.
