I agree that New Mexico maybe should have taken a few more deep shots, but if Air Force hangs onto the ball - they probably would have won this game outright. We'll never know of course. That's the most difficult variable to assess in capping, drives me absolutely nuts. You can analyze matchups and the perceived strengths and weaknesses of teams, but it's impossible to account for turnovers. If I'm not mistaken, Air Force came into the game as one of the best teams in the country in turnover margin. What happens? 5 fumbles. Go figure.........
