    Which Conference is the toughest?

My friend and I had a arguement about which Conference is the toughest.....I say the SEC is the toughest, if youre in the SEC, I don't care which team you are, you will probably have 2or more losses on your record...

I could have made a case for the Big10 IF App St. didn't beat Michigan, However I fell the Big12 is even tougher than the SEC.

top to bottom it's got to be the SEC...the ACC is a lot better than I thought they would be...am a bit dissapointed in the Big 12 as a whole and the Big East is fairly underrated in my opinion...the Pac 10's got to learn to play D to ultimately get my respect...

Personally, I feel there is no debate...SEC by a mile.

    LT,
I agree with you that it's the SEC...but I'm not sure it' "by a mile". But top to bottom, I think it's the SEC. Even the bottom dwellers can bite you in the butt if they're at home and the fav doesn't play well. I'm not sure that's true of most of the other power conferences.

    Exactly Doc,

Hence "by a mile" LOL. The worst teams in the SEC could beat the bottom half of just about any other conference. When you are rating conferences, you are basically comparing them top to bottom.

SEC hands down. Then big 12. The big east is the easiest major conference.

these kind of questions always get people fired up, especially if your a fan of a team from a certain one. this year and most every year its the SEC from top to bottom. but for this year alone, i'd say....
    1) SEC
    2) Big 10
    3) Big 12
    4) Pac-10
    5) Big East
    6) ACC

WAC is the toughest. Look at the travelling schedule. It makes it so tough to win on the road when you have to go to Hawaii all the time and vice versa.

Well, Auburn is the seventh best team in the SEC and would be favored over the third best team in any other conference, so ...

I think the SEC conference is the toughest this year from what I see, there is 8 teams that are probably going to be bowl teams and some of them would be bowl teams if they were in the other conferences but since they are in that conference they are losing to the better teams. I think Vanderbilt and Mississippi both would be bowl teams in the Big 10 or Big East.

The SEC is #1 no doubt. The Big 10 can't possibly be second. Ohio St. is #1 right now, but Michigan lost to App. St. and got blown out by Oregon. Purdue will probably lose at least 3 or 4 games before it's all over. Iowa can't score, Wisconsin is not very good and we'll see if Illinois will stick around. I think it's more like this:

    1.SEC
    2.Pac 10
    3.Big East
    4.Big 12
    5.Big 10
    6.ACC
