    Yes. I'd be surprised if they didn't put up 40. Ryan will kill them through the air, and Callender and Whitworth will run free against the Irish D-line. This is the one game this week that I will be laying the big number.

    I'm laying a big # in the Cal game too.

    I usually don't bet DD favs, but ND and Oregon St suck bad and are playing very solid teams who are bad matchups.

    Oregon St would get killed too.

    I think Boston College is going to beat Notre Dame pretty bad also, this isn't UCLA and all their injuries that they have, this is an Boston College team that is pretty much healthy, yes I think BC covers unless the line is too large possibly.

    Since ND isn't facing the Pac 10 I feel they may struggle here. Boston College is a bit more Big 10 like.

    I think B.C. wins this by more than 14 this week, Notre Dame's defense is going to have problems. I thought the line would be a little more than this like maybe 17.

    I think it's more like when a weatherman says "There's a 30% chance of rain tomorrow"

    Well, predicting weather is complex because several weather systems may be interacting, and the wind may change speed or direction, ot the atmospheric pressure may change....it's complicated, not fully predictable, and many different scenarios can occur (I'm not a weatherman, btw).

    Much like a college football game.

    But I don't think simply brushing it off by saying it was a fluke is the right way to look at it. Now if it snows in July - that's a fluke. But I think ND was assessed by the linesmakers as having a 6-7% chance of winning, and I don't think those are the same odds of snow falling in July.
