That makes more sense then some of the other moves we’ve seen in recent weeks. Not only regionally but stylistically it makes much more sense than USC or UCLA.

    So much for that.

Thamel on Sirius reporting ND is going to get 75 million from NBC in a broadcasting partnership with the Big 12, where a Big 12 game is either the lead in, or follows a ND game.

It is a 7 year deal, keeping ND indy for at least 7 more years.

People have been saying "ok this is it... with all the changes to college football, now Notre Dame is finally going to join a conference..." for about 35 years now.

can’t see it. Too much $$$ from Nbc and they don’t have to share it with anyone

    Correct, its all theirs.

The Big 10 really doesn’t want ND. All of their expansion has been to major markets outside of their area. They are trying to expand there tv channel, South Bend already gets it. There is some talk about the Big12 merging with PAC 12 teams, then sharing doubleheaders with ND on NBC, something to watch for.

Alabama or another big fish will go independent before ND joins a conference.

Why would the Irish want to join, the soon to be Big Eleven?
Money..... but if they ever made it to the final four.........huge moola! $$$$$$$$
No sharing with the other conference teams.
