I really like Georgia in this game. They’ve had two easy games leading up to this so they are tuned up and rested. Alabama has had to go all out lately and they might be worn out. I see Bama struggling to score in this one.

I think Georgia has had some tough opponents this year. They shut down a high powered Tennessee offense, shut out Arkansas, did very well against Auburn, Clemson, Kentucky, Florida, and SC. Those are no cupcake teams.

But who knows what will happen. We all have opinions.
There is some pressure on Georgia to keep Alabama out of the playoffs

If UGA got blown out, they could definitely be left out of the playoffs. I highly doubt they get blown out but it is a possiblity.

Might have a slight bias, but you have to be insane to lay points with Stetson Bennett running the plays vs Alabama.

Although personally, I think they should cancel the playoff due to the Omicron variant. Let's be safe folks!

a lot of things happen over the course of a yr I say that because I think people have forgotten wut happened last yr between these two teams it feels like ages ago. bama won in pretty good fashion. yea I know many players have changed but I think bama returned 8 starters on defense(not sure how many are still starting) and bama's offense is still pretty good only about 50 yds less per game than last yr. so thats still around 500 yds/game. uga returned 5 on defense. I suspect bama was looking past au, I know its the iron bowl, but when u have the sec championship game afterwards as a 19/20 yr old its easy to drift. so no doubt they will be up for this game moreso than last. with that said its hard to bet against uga defense and I dont remember seeing a -4.

Why would they get blown out? Alabama would have a hard time moving the ball. The GA DL will be pushing them backwards the whole game.

I’d never lay 6 points to Saban

I just think Georgia is a much better team this year.

Lol, why you keep talking about pressure? Georgia has been looking forward to this game for a long time. No pressure when if you lose you still get in. Why would they have pressure on them to keep Bama out? That’s the last thing on their mind. They just want to beat Bama and win the SEC championship.

The pressure is to get a win against Alabama. You say they have been looking forward to the game for a long time but also saying it’s meaningless. And I don’t keep saying it, I mentioned the pressure is on Georgia and it is. Never said it’s the be all end all determining factor for the outcome of the game. Georgia is not as good as everyone thinks. If not for a bad pick 6 that was a result of a bad throw Georgia loses opening week to Clemson and we aren’t even having this discussion.

Where and when did I say the game was meaningless to them? Wanting to win badly is different than having pressure on them.

End of discussion for me. Who really gives a fukk

Georgia has been preparing for this game since Tennessee. Alabama
still had to deal with Arkansas and Auburn. If Robinson can’t go, Alabama will be down to a linebacker, a receiver, and a kid recovering from a serious car accident at Rb.

Yes, SEA. What do you make of Georgia's performance tonite?

Not that fired up? Not motivated, b/c they were in the catbird's seat?

If they respected Alab, I think they should play to KNOCK OUT Alab. Didn't happen. And the glow came off that Geo defense in a big way.

    Very funny picture, Mac.

Interesting result. If this was Georgia's year to knock the Elephant off the perch, that wasn't too impressive. But they'll get another chance.

    Georgia - Michigan me thinks

    &

    Cincy - Bama

Driving home from the casino just now and somebody said Cincy will be +13.5. Give me that all day w/Bama's best WR blowing out his knee. Prob be more like 10.5 or 11? Its not like Bama hasn't had a bunch of close games this year

Mich - Ga is tougher imo. Mich can't spread out Georgia and throw it around like Bama. I think Georgia wins but Michigan is def flying high and they have talent on both sides

Fred - Cinci is not even in the same area code as Bama talent wise. What player on their team would start for Bama or even be in their 2 deep rotation. Nobody, including the QB. Cincy has been playing might mites. Houston was hanging with them until the refs bailed them out with horrible penalties. Bama losing Metchie is a huge blow but the freshman looked good. They will reload. Plus you give Saban several weeks to scheme? This is 3 TDs easily.

Michigan/UGA. Good grief. I will be surprised if scUM scores more than 10 points. Their offense plays right into UGAs strengths. 2 beatdown games up coming.

UC has a big white guy like 6'4 220. He's now the best WR in that game with Metchie out. I like their RB too. He's good and he can get loose in the passing game. You'll see. Georgia was only short 4 starters last year not 10. UC was short guys too I remember. Capped/scouted the f out of the game and cashed UC +9 easily

Houston was hanging? UC put up 3 tds 3Q before Houston even knew the game had started again. Beatdown 35-13 at that point game over

If Bama has such an AS squad then why struggle with shitty Auburn? Anyone is beatable this year. Also Saban can outcoach Kirby Dumb any day of the week but Fickell can coach. UC is one of the smartest teams out there. I'm not saying they'll win the game anyway....just cover

Chucky I didn’t even bother to watch the second half of the game. I knew Georgia wasn’t going to come back and win nor cover at halftime so I took off and ran some errands. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when Bama scored 4 times in a row in the first half. I agree with you. Georgia should have made sure Bama didn’t get in and take a chance on losing to someone else. Unless this is an LSU-Bama rematch when LSU won a low scoring regular season game, won the SEC and then laid an egg in the National championship game type situation. Georgia just costs itself a conference championship and National championship in a little over 3 hours or 60 minutes. This season means nothing now to Georgia.

That makes sense because the committee always liked to screw over the smaller conference teams like Cincinnati.

I don't see Metchie out as being a big deal. Alabama doesn't have an elite t cover this year like Smith or Cooper, Metchie didn't standout from the other Alabama receivers.

People keep bringing this up, and I can't understand why. It's an insane, massive rivalry game! Alabama/Auburn is almost always close.

Also, I think after yesterday it's pretty clear Alabama was looking ahead a little bit to that Georgia game.

True but wasn't like the only time Bama struggled. 41 to A&M? A&M doesn't have a QB?

I'm not saying Bama is all-world or anything. But let's be honest: Georgia played no one all year, and the first time they played a legit quarterback the kid went out there and waxed their "all-world" defense.
