I don't think Iowa will win, but I think they might keep it close, although it has happened before. I'll probably take the points. Either way, go Hawks.

    Well, some common opponent comparisons:

    Neb 29/ Mich 32
    Neb 21/ Iowa 28

    Mich 33/ NW 7
    Iowa 17/ NW12

    Mich 21/ PSU 17
    Iowa 23/ PSU 20

    Mich 38/ WIS 17
    Iowa 7 / WIS 27

I guess they performed differently versus Wisconsin but, I guess we could ask Nebraska, Penn State and Northwestern what they think???

Penn state played at iowa and played most of the second half without their starting qb Clifford but still led 58 mins of the game.

    Michigan won AT penn state.

    Big difference there.

I know / common opponent comparisons have a lot of variables. Home team/injuries/time of year

Somebody, should tell Sagarin that the Big House is worth way more than 2 points!

Says a little but leaves me thinking that Iowa will give the Wolverines a good game?

The B1G title game is in Indy.

And yes the Big House is worth a lot of extra points which is what I tried to tell buckeye bettors and homers PRE kickoff yday

Hawkeye O is so atrocious that even the UM D at 75% strength will shut them down.

Iowa covers easy. Probably wins outright. Hawks much better coaching staff. Top d in the big and country. Iowa is one of the most physical teams out there and won't be intimidated by mich. Rose bowl trip on line for hawks gives plenty of motivation. I see hawks winning by 10+

I agree with this. Michigan piecing everything together.... sure Harbaugh has been there... but he doesn't make all the calls. Again, bitch at me all you want... Michigan one of the EASIEST SCHEDULES for any team to reach Top 4 in the Rankings. They played Ohio State at HOME... and Ohio State napped during the entire game. If Michigan beats Iowa by double digits... I'll shut my mouth. Until then... I won't.

No doubt you're a lifetime losing bettor with an attitude like that.

Denial of what was and is right in front of u is a recipe for disaster.

So Michigan wins by 9 over iowa a week after a DD win over your beloved Buckeyes and you'll keep talking?

Go ahead - it's clear your knowledge of the game is rather pedestrian (at least this year).

How do we predict the motivation of teams?

Smells a lot like the main goal of Michigan was to beat Ohio State.

Has their goal this year ever been the the College FB playoffs or winning the national championship?

This is like free money for Iowa to get to play for the Rose Bowl.

The neutral field itself does not appear to help either side?

Both teams offenses are not that great; but,, I think Michigan will create several turnovers. 26-9.

As far as the motivation factor goes, you have to believe that Michigan, if anybody, is more motivated because they have title hopes and Iowa doesn't. Maintaining focus after defeating the evil empire will be tough but Michigan's talent will prevail.

Iowa in title game with what may be their worst offensive line in 25 years.

They have the best C in CFB surrounded by a bunch of bums.

That's because the B1G West was weak as phuck this year.

Wisky got out of the gates really slow the first 3-4 games.

    Minny the same.

Not Michigan's fault that Washington was terrible.

when they both agreed to the game many moons ago, Washington was a perennial Pac 12 contender and even made the CFP in 2016.
