    Jags need an entirely new defense which will take 3-4 drafts minimum plus FA spending. he'll be long gone by the time the team's competitive again. this is just a final pay day for him, nothing more.

    Michael Vick NEVER played in a read option offense you dingleberry!...Yes, he scrambled a lot and made plays with his legs but he still played on conventional offenses in Atlanta, Philly, and NO....and for the last fukkin' time Army and Navy run the triple option not the read option offense...there are differences between the two...Does your sorry ass even watch any college football?...I just got done explaining to you in my previous post that the majority of the offenses that you see nowadays in college are the read option attacks that both Urban Meyer and Rich Rodriguez made popular at a time when most teams were stilling running "conventional" offenses back in the 90's - 2000's...Come on Morino?...you really can't be this stupid can you?

    disagree Orbison...not in today's NFL...you don't need 3 - 4 years to rebuild a team like in the good ole days before free agency and salary cap...we've seen quite a few teams go from worst to first in their division or improve by at least 5+ games in the last 20+ years or so...all you need is a good GM and talent scout evaluators that know what they are doing and you can literally rebuild your team through the draft and free agency if you make the right moves...

    This is true. Look at the Niners. Improved from a losing record to the super bowl and back to last in the division in a 3 year period. Thats easier than maintaining greatness. The Jaguars were in the AFC championship game 3 years ago beating the Patriots and lost. I don’t see a flash in the pan run from Urban either. He won’t be grinding like some of the great coaches do. He will be outworked and outcoached quite a bit.
