Here are the changes to rules that go into effect this season. They were voted in on Tuesday:
1. When Targeting calls go to review, They will be either confirmed or overturned. Stands is gone.
2. A player that gets 3 targeting calls in the same season will have a 1 game suspension
3. If a game goes into a 5th overtime the 2 teams will take part in a "2 point conversion shootout"
4. 15 yard penalty for forcible contact on blindside blocks
5. No more 2 man wedge blocks on kickoff returns
The OT rule to me is an overreaction from the A&M-LSU game from last year. No one cared the year before about a 7OT game when Western Michigan and Buffalo played 7 OT's
If you want to change college football OT........Make them go for 2 points when they score a TD to start overtime
Just keeping everyone informed
