    2019 Nebraska

This forum will be quiet for a few months.

National Champion odds are out for next season.

    Alabama 2/1
    Clemson 5/2
    Ohio St 10/1
    Michigan 12/1
    Georgia 12/1
    Oklahoma 15/1
    Texas 20/1
    Nebraska 25/1
    Washington 25/1
    Florida 25/1
    Notre Dame 25/1
    Oregon 30/1
    Wisconsin 50/1
    LSU 50/1
    Mississippi St 50/1
    Auburn 50/1

Huge Husker fan but really!??! Nebraska is 25/1 in win the championship after back to back 4-8 seasons? That's really shocking and some what impressive. Shows that Vegas thinks pretty highly of Scott Frost and his ability to turn things around. The Huskers do have a much easier schedule next year after having the most difficult schedule ever. But I'm not seeing a championship quite yet.

Nebraska should win 8 games, give or take one. They have an easier schedule than they did in 2018 and Frost did show improvement as the year went on in 2018, but 25/1 is ridiculous. I will fade that all season. Nebraska returns to a bowl, but does not win the Big 10 West in 2019. I do not see Nebraska winning a Big 10 Title in the forseeable future. They are still miles behind the Big 3 in the East. At least they will be competitive.

    yeah, that really stands out.

i think it's the same 5 teams fighting for 4 spots for the foreseeable future.

as to beyond those teams, maybe texas shows something. florida or florida state? probably not 2019 for the florida teams. it's tough, you need very few losses with a tough schedule.

Florida has a tough schedule. They open against Miami in Orlando, go to Kentucky and Missouri, both teams capable of pulling an upset. Their crossover games are Auburn, and at LSU. They also have Georgia in Jacksonvile and Florida State at home. Florida State will not be competitive until they get rid of their excuse making head coach who cannot keep a QB.
