Les isn’t that conservative- he’s had his share of fake punts/FG

Considering he recruited and coached the qbs at LSU, you are letting him off hook a bit. Program had plateaued with him and it was time for a new voice. Off topic but Ed O was a bad hire to replace Les.

I like Les as a coach. He knows the Big 12 from his days at okie st. Kinda surprised he landed at KU but he should get program back to bowl games sooner than later.

Coach O is the assistant coach from Waterboy.

How he has gotten HC jobs without being able to speak English is crazy.

prob constantly reminds them of his resume, coached miami dline for 5 years they won 2 chips, syracuse dline coach for 3 years, cuse was 9-3, 9-3, and 9-4, usc dline coach for 7 years they claimed 2 chips, dang I didnt realize he's been at some of those places other than usc head coach now much different pressure

Smart place to go. He looks like a God if he turns them into a winner. If they don't do anything, no different than now.

that really fat coach won big at kansas (mangini.. or something like that)... but he was definitely an anomaly

i think it's a good hire... name coach should get players..... i would say playing a different style to rest of conference might actually be an advantage for kansas. other teams aren't going to score near as much vs. kansas as they did before.

I guess the “safe hire”. Should have gone after Buffalo coach Lance Leipold. Guy went 109-6 in Division 3, 34-1 in playoffs, dethroned powerhouse Mt.Union as preeminent power. In year 4 @ Buffalo and has turned around program, already more wins this year (9) than in any year is school history. Not nearly the name as Miles, but more upside imo.

Think people. He is 65 years old. He is now the HC of the worst team in college football for the past 10 years. He has won an NC and he did have a few competitive games with Alabama, so he has name recognition. All he has to do is turn Kansas into a .500 team in 2 or 3 years and everyone one will be claiming that he is a genius, just like they are talking about Matt Campbell now. The fact is that the Big 12 is not nearly as competitive as they used to be. OU has no defense and Texas still cannot get out of their own way. The rest simply do not have it. This hire is about as safe as you can get.

Good hire. He can stick around 6-7 years, get them to a few bowls, hand it off to the next guy and be a hero

Difference will be the new AD. They sucked for many reasons but one being that the school didn’t give a fukk. He will give Miles resources the other guys didn’t have

I like Miles. His teams are always tough and they all would go through a wall for him. He just could never find a QB. Him and 99% of all the other coaches out there. The B12 is very down. This is a good time for him to turn that program around. There's a lot of Kansas fans that will support a winner.

Wow. They haven't been relevant since aqib talib ! If he can turn this shitty football program around he deserves every penny they give him and some.

Conservative coach clueless much? Leslie went for a TD in a game with seconds left when he could have kicked a Fg and won. Conservative he is not even close. He’s dumb and reckless with the play calling. You ever actually watch football? Could you pick the Mad Hatter out of a lineup?

Miles helped put some great defensive players in the NFL.
