    This Week's Big Games

    More like games of interests:

Friday Night: Fresno State at Boise State. Two of the three top teams in the MWC. This probably will be the first time in over 10 years that Boise State is a home dog. Fresno is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 against Boise.

Saturday: Clemson @ Boston College. Clemson's last legitimate challenger for the ACC Crown. The Coastal Division is terrible. B.C. has had a very good year so far, losing only 2 games both S/U and ATS. Clemson, the team with the great defense, has rolled up 240 points in their last 4 games. That is an average of 60 ppg. Clemson started 1-3 ATS. They are 4-0 in their last 4 games ATS. Clemson haters beware of the line.

Bedlam at OU. West Virginia has lost a game and only plays 11 because of a cancellation. That leaves Oklahoma as the only legitimate team to have a shot at the Playoffs. OU cannot afford another loss, and they still have two potential meetings with West Virgina left, one at the end of the season and the other in the CC game. Okie State HC Mike Gundy may be coaching for his job. They get West Virginia next.

Northwestern @ Iowa. Northwestern has 4 losses, but only one in conference play. Iowa has 3 losses, all in conference play. A win just about seals the Big 10 West for the 'Cats. It really does not matter.

Pac 12 Fiasco. South. You have both Arizona's USC and Utah with 3 losses. Colorado has 4 and UCLA is out of it. This week Utah hosts Oregon, Colorado hosts Washington State, USC hosts Cal, Arizona State hosts UCLA, and Arizona is off. This is Arizona State's last home game. They go to Oregon and Arizona. Utah finishes the season at Colorado. USC goes to UCLA. The Pac 12 North will probably be decided in the Apple Bowl between Washington @Wazzu.

    good stuff, thank you

boise needs the fresno game really badly. fresno maybe not (although obviously the players are jacked for as good a season as possible). how are they doing the conference game again? i.e. home field? did they change it from last year?

i was looking into P12 playoff. seemed confusing. looked to me like USC was in driver seat taking into acount future games... looking at teamratings.com they have utah at 55%, ASU at 35%, USC at 10%ish and arizona very low to win pac-12 south (realize those numbers don't aggregate to 100% but you get the point. utah qb is out now though.

apple cup should be very interesting. huskies have dominated this game i think but cougs are much better this year and game is in pullman

Fresno State and Utah State will probably each have one loss, and go undefeated in Conference play. If that is the case, it will come down to the highest ranked team at the end of the season. Right now, that is Fresno State. Both teams have games at Boise State left. Fresno State has Boise this week, then finishes at home against San Diego State and San Jose State. Utah State has it a bit tougher. They host San Jose State this week, but end on the road against Colorado State and Boise State. Both teams lost by 7 points on the road to Big 10 teams. Fresno to Minnesota (4-5) and Utan State to Michigan State (6-3).
