The SEC is the toughest schedule in the country. If Washington or Michigan played an SEC schedule they would end up 6-6.

Some sec teams have gotten better too. Before yesterday 4 sec teams in top 10 and 6 in top 25. UF beat Miss. St. so expect State to drop out and UF to enter. UK was 17 and beat South Car. UK still undefeated and biggest surprise so far in SEC. UGA and UF in different division so don't normally play Bama. LSU even if they lose to bama is a physically taxing game and AU game you never know what will happen. Still best bet is prob SEC Championship against UGA whom they could possibly face again in final 4 if both are undefeated when they meet.

It is really very simple. Make the playoffs and defeat Alabama. Other than Georgia, I have not seen a team out there yet that can do that this season. Ohio State-Penn State was a complete and total joke. Talk about playing a cream puff schedule. Next Season Ohio State plays Florida Atlantic, Miami (Ohio) and Cincinnati, all at home. Penn State plays Idaho, Buffalo, ad Pitt, all at home. Alabama plays Duke (Neutral site), New Mexico State, and Southern Miss. In 2020, Alabama added Tennessee Martin, but what the haters forgot to mention is that they also added USC to the schedule.

just realize dumb asses too dumb to qualify academically in other conferences can play right away in sec. texas am was never a contender in the 12. But texas has many academically challenged. it is why a m became competitive right away.

Everyone plays cupcakes. Clemson has to play Furman or the citadel every season. Oklahoma plays FAU and Army. Ohio State plays Rutgers and Nebraska. theres too much $ in home games. That’s why schools pay the Montana States of the world 900k to travel down and play. Until you make everyone play on an equal field, nobody will do it

also, the media bitches and moans about these games, but they as pollsters nor the committee ever punish teams for weak OOC nor do they reward teams for playing tough OOC games.

Risk is greater than the reward. At the end of the day, Ohio State gets as much credit for beating Toledo as they do Oklahoma. All people care about is W’s and they don’t care where they come from.

Yea bama plays a "name" non conference team every year and like with usc it won't matter they won't be nearly good enough by next year and to top it off its always on a neutral field. To make it interesting it'd be nice if bama played those "name" schools on the road or did a home and away. The cupcakes really don't bother me because all schools schedule cupcakes that is the time to work on things and heal up also many of those cupcakes need the money anyway. Your main objectiive is to try to win your conference so you don't want any hiccups along the way losing to OOC schools anyway.
