These 7 teams to make the College Football playoffs or the field

All 4 have to come from this group. You get 3 of 4, you lose

    Alabama
    Clemson
    Ohio State
    Georgia
    Oklahoma
    Notre Dame
    Penn State

    these 7 or the field?

4 of the first 5 will make it.

ND isn't that good and Penn st blows.

I think that Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia are solid wagers to make the Playoffs. Ohio State has a good chance, but the NCAA would much prefer that they do not make it. Oklahoma may have the easiest schedule of the two. If Ohio State and OU end up with the same record, Ohio State will be odd man out. What are the odds now of this wager?

The only other team that could make it would be the SEC West team that beats Bama, if one somehow manages to do it.

Not necessairily. Stanford and Oregon are both undefeated and capable of running the table. Oregon gets a break because they get both Stanford (this week) and Washington at home.

I wouldn't count out the Pac-12 yet, even though I think they aren't that great. If Washington can get by Stanford at home, they will have a chance. I like Georgia and Celmson's schedule, Bama isn't losing to anyone, so I think that leaves one spot. My guess is the Big 10 will get someone, most likely Ohio State.

The field has an excellent shot. What happens if Penn State defeats Ohio State, but loses to Michigan or Wisconsin? What happens if OU and West Virginia have the same record entering into the final week of the season when they play each other. and then the following week when they play each other again in the playoffs? What happens if Clemson (who has NOT covered a game yet this seasaon) slips up? Plenty of possibilities.

possibilities and realities are a different thing. after the iowa and washington debacles, its about premiere programs. espn isn't paying billions for nothing. the tie goes to the big dogs if its close.
