I am talking about playoff possibilities. The winner of the Alabama-Auburn game have a leg up in the race for the four playoff spots. This should be the only close game. Let's look at the others:
Miami -13 @ Pitt. Does anyone see a potential problem here? Pitt did not even qualify for a bowl game.
Clemson -14 @ South Carolina. This one could get a bit dicey for Clemson, but they should prevail, if not cover. Who has South Carolina played? A Clemson loss eliminates them from the playoffs and they are well aware of that fact.
Oklahoma -22 1/2 vs West Virginia. West Virginia has lost their starting QB. Mayfield could sit this one out and OU would win. I do not see any problems here.
Wisconsin -17 @ Minnesota. This is the same Minnesota team that scored 10 points against both Iowa and Michigan and was shut out by Northwestern last week. How long does the scoreless streak continue?
Georgia -11 @ Georgia Tech. These two teams genuinely hate each other. A UGA win (they are 9-0 ATS in their last 9 in Atlanta) knocks Tech out of a bowl game. Georgia would love nothing more than to do that.
I believe that those are the only 7 teams with a legitimate chance of going to the playoffs. Sure crazy things can happen, but IMO, those things have a much better chance of happening next week in the Conference Championship games than this week.
