    Coaches On The Hot Seat

Here is a list of Head Coaches who may be looking for a job next season:

    1. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M. He was told by the AD that another 8-5 season would not be acceptable. A&M has 4 losses and finishes at Mississippi and LSU.

    2. Butch Jones, Tennessee. In 5 years, his teams have never lost less than 4 games. 4-5 so far this season. A huge under achiever.

    3. Bret Bielema, Arkansas. Continuing the parade of SEC Coaches on the way out, Bielema is another under achiever who cannot win in the SEC. In 5 years, his best record was 8-5. He barely beat Coastal Carolina.

    4. Mike Riley, Nebraska. Riley never developed a team that challenged for the Big 10 West title. With a new A.D, and only 4 wins so far this season, his job is almost certainly lost.

    5. Jim Mora, UCLA. Typical UCLA Head Coach. He goes 10-3 in 2013 and 2014, then drops to 8-5 in 2015 and a terrible 4-8 last season. This year his team is in route to missing a bowl game for the 2nd year in a row.

    6. Larry Fedora, North Carolina. After going a mediocre 21-17 for his first 3 years, Fedora's team soared to an 11-3 record in 2015, only to drop to 8-5 last season. This season his team is 1-8. A total breakdown should mean the end of the4 line for him. He just ever got there at UNC.

    7. David Beaty, Kansas. Yes Kansas has had some terrible teams of late, but 2 wins in two years, and what is looking like a 1 win season this year is just unacceptable. He is looking at 3-33 for 3 years worth of work.

Yes but it is a constantly changing situation. Ralphie, you have nothing better to do than dig up old threads?

Had to laugh yesterday when a recruit was told Riley and staff would be there next year.

Riley, Bielema and Jones are all gone. Forget the hot seat.

I think Fedora gets one more year.

Nebraska wants alum and current UCF HC Scott Frost, who still has very close ties to the Lincoln Nebraska area.

So yeah, Fedora should be fine. UNC has no lofty expectations with their football program, so having an 11 win and 8 win season puts you in a good spot there. They have no QB right now, and you need a QB to be competitive in conferences like the ACC and big 12. Clemson's only loss happened when Kelly Bryant missed the 2nd half. FSU turned from a monster program with a frightening defense into cannon fodder as soon as Francois went out and an extra from Blackhawk Down took his place. Yeah, QB is that important.

If he does get canned, it will be more for the dirty shit he did years ago mixed with one bad season, but that's a huge if.

Several teams had an anomaly year last year and were down -- ND and Michigan St to name a couple. It doesn't mean their HC forgot how to coach and should be fired. People fall victim to instant gratification too much. Do better.
