    No Vegas Totals Posted AGAIN

Here we are Wed. Vegas has NOT posted Totals. They are getting hit hard on these NCAA Totals. They just won't pull the trigger and up them like they should have done the last few years. If everything is good in Sports betting land, then how are the Totals not posted till the last minute?

I thought it might have to do with the two hurricanes. Teams are playing games earlier and having less practice or delaying days.

Vegas made a small fortune last week, so that has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. There are totals posted at some shops. You must also remember that the "High Rollers" get a shot at the Total, as well as the ML and the Sides, well before you do. We can see the lines before they are posted to the general public, which is done after any needed corrections are made. I do not know where you are getting your information, but unless it is from a casino itself, you are foolish if you believe it.

I just go by how in the past Vegas Insider and Score and Odds post the totals. Why does it take so long this year? Something has got to be up! Change without Reason is NOT the norm. They are taking some kind of HIT! I am a low level semi successful capper that is having above normal results. I'm sure the Big Hitters are kickin them in the AZZ!

The "Big Hitters" kicked the average guy in the azz on Sunday when they manipulated the line for the UCLA-A&M game from -1 all the way up to -7, before dumping on A&M and bringing it back down to 6 or 6 1/2. That is called, in some circles, a "bait and switch" and was played to perfection on Sunday. How many people in here took a hit on that game? There is a way of looking at a line history and knowing if the "Big Hitters" all jumped on a game, or Joe Pub jumped on it. Here are two examples to look at:

Ohio @ Purdue. Opening line was Purdue -4 1/2. Current line. Purdue -4. Normal line movement.

Nebraska @ Oregon. Opening line was Oregon -9 1/2. Current line. Oregon -13 1/2 to 14. Obviously the line makers missed the mark on this game and the "Big Hitters" (as you call them) jumped on the game as soon as the line came out. That line went from -6 1/2 to -13 1/2 in three hours (over a two day period) at the Wynn.

I am fortunate enough to belong to a group ("Cartel" if you prefer) that has the ability to wager before Joe Pub has their shot at things. We are rather successful. SBR has asked me NOT to post my plays on those games because few, if any others have the opportunity to make those kind of plays. I agreed to their request and do not post those types of plays that I am involved in, just like I intentionally did not post the UCLA-A&M bait and switch play until AFTER the game had started. Many years ago when I first started wagering on sports, a very sharp gambler told me the secret. I was with a group of guys at the old Stardust Hotel. We were sitting at the sports bar when we struck up a conversation with this very well known gambler. He said that the best way for us to win at this game was to get the very best odds available, and the best way to get those odds was to wager as much money as possible. To do that, he suggested that we pool our resources and form a "Cartel" if you will. Several things were needed to make the cartel a successful one. First, complete and total trust in the people who you were wagering with. Second, there had to be an understanding that a couple of guys/gals actually picked the games, and the rest of the "Investors" just followed the progress of the Cartel. They were in it for the money, much like a cartel would be if they invested in a Thoroughbred Race horse. Find the proper trainer and watch the money roll in.

So that is what myself, and 9 others did some 40 years ago. It took about 10-12 years to build our bankroll up to where it is now. We have had only one losing year, in the '90's. There are 7 of us left. We wager a very large amount on every game we play, but not nearly as large as Joe pub thinks. It is all a matter of perception.

Exactly, and it will only get worse when the Santa Ana season arrives in late September and October.

Zin. Just where do you wager? Don't tell me Vegas. I want to know exactly where? Which Casino's or Books? Very few people in here actually wager in Vegas (hell, they rarely wager anything but air), so it would be nice to run into someone who does when I am up there.

I live in Akron, Ohio. I travel to Napa,Ca during bowl and playoffs. Have a friend that lives on Wild Horse Mountain. I drive back and fourth to Reno. I have a local book that has a PPH site. He post when Vegas post lines. He has been jacking up the Totals. It hasn't had an effect as of yet. I am a poker player when football is out of season. Poker is getting a lot harder to earn a living. Players have improved and the easy money has quit. Need a good football season or I'm afraid I might have to seek full time employment. lol

I think the easy money has finally tapped out. I do not play on line poker. I love playing these kids who love on line poker in person, because they are so easy to bluff and confuse. I do my best to politely piss them off. The madder they get, the more thrown off their game they are. People (in general) are easy to manipulate. I live within 50 miles of 10 Indian Casino's that have poker rooms. The young "studs" get fewer and fewer each time I go to play (normally on Tuesday and Friday) That makes it harder to win because the old f**ts like myself know too much to get suckered.

I only play at The Jack Casino in Cleveland. A real shyt hole! You are correct about times to play. I hate going up there at night. But, my profits are better when I do. I am considering playingpoker this year during football. I find it hard to stay focused on Poker when capping is going bad.
