    This Weeks Big Games

Here is a partial list of Big Games for this week (9/3 to 9/10):

Nebraska at Oregon. Two tier two teams wanting to climb the ladder. Nebraska HC Mike Riley has been to Eugene many ties before as HC of Oregon State, so there will be no surprises as far as the crowd is concerned.

TCU at Arkansas. A very important non-con game for teams that are given long shot chances to win their respective Divisions and/or Conferences. TCU now becomes the undisputed #3 team behind the Oklahoma teams in the Big 12. Arkansas gets a week off after this game. The Over may be worth a look here.

Auburn at Clemson. Huge game for each team. Auburn is given a chance to unseat Alabama in the SEC West. With the demise of Florida State, a Clemson loss here would really hurt the ACC's chances of returning to the playoffs.

Oklahoma vs Ohio State. Showdown time. OU was knocked out of the Final Four by Ohio State last season. Ohio State was given a free pass into the final four and did not score a point last season. Watch the line here.

Stanford at USC. Some think this is a preview of the Pac 12 CC game. Stanford destroyed Rice and gets both Oregon and Washington at home. USC got off to a slow start but still did what they had to do and defeated Western Michigan. This is a big rivalry game and the line should be just about even.

Other games of note: Georgia at Notre Dame. Would have made the list except for the injury to UGA's starting QB...South Carolina at Missouri. A divisional match up of two teams with an outside shot at what now appears to be a wide open SEC East...

    good stuff.. thank you

any thoughts on arkansas? only teams in your comments where i don't have some feel for where they are at as team and/or program............ seemed like they were a program that could pop for a couple of years once every 7 years or so. but i'm thinking SEC West is too consistently tough and they may not get the same quality of recruit. i think the coach is good - although maybe an idiot as a person, or is that his wife?

Arkansas already lost their #1 RB in Rawleigh Williams for the season. Their defense really has to step up, especially in the 2nd half of games. Last season they blew huge halftime leads especially to Va. Tech (35-24 after being ahead 24-0 at the half), and Missouri (28-24 after leading 24-7 at the half). They also need to step up their passing game.
