I do not see a 7 win season and they damn sure dont win 8.......This team will be worse than their 6 win season in 2015 - but their schedule is a bit easier.
They have a below average B-10 offense IMO
They bring in transfer QB Tanner Lee who threw 21 INTS vs only 24 TDS at a 54% comp rate in 2 years at Tulane....These B-10 defenses are a bit tougher....NEB loses their 2 top WR's and their starting RB......Tanner Lee is no threat to run the ball like Tommy Armstrong.....While Armstrong was not known for his passing he still put up better numbers in Big 10 than Leedin in AAC..........On defense They lose their top 3 tacklers.....4 out of their 5 top playmakers including their sack leader........The "D" is also breaking in new COORD and new 3-4..
I have them winning
ARK ST
N-IL
Rutgers
@IL
@Pur.
=5
Losing
@Oregon
WI
OH ST
@Minny
@PennST
=5
I think they will win 1 of the 2 games VS Iowa and NW giving them 6 wins.......
This will prove to be a very bad offensive team and with all the lost talent on defense along with the new COORD / scheme they will struggle...........I do like HC Riley and know he can recruit and I believe they wont be down for long.
Really? Do you honestly think that Nebraska may defeat either Iowa or Northwestern and lost to a poor Minnesota team? IO see Nebfraska at 7-5 at the worst. Wins against Arkansas State, NIU, Rutgers, and @ Illinois give them a 4-1 start. There is no guarantee that they lose to Oregon, a team that returns a bunch of starters on defense who are just flat out bad players. Wins at Purdue and Minnesota give them 6 wins minimum. I cannot see them losing four Conference home games. That is 7 wins. More are certainly possible.
