Hackenberg might be the most overrated QB I've ever seen

Given the hype that constantly surrounds this guy, I just don't get it.

    Yes, Penn State's OL sucks.

    Yes, Penn State's coach sucks.

But this guy is NOT an NFL franchise QB. I'm not even sure he's an NFL QB period.

I've never understood what he's done or even shown glimpses of to make scouts or other "experts" feel otherwise.

Not sure he's the 5th best QB in the Big Ten!

He's certainly no better than Matt McCloin, who is on the Raiders bench and didn't show much when he started a few games.

I've said this to my pen state friends over and over. He offers nothing. He makes horrible decisions, he's big and slow, he doesn't make anyone around him better.

Other than having a prototypical NFL body and arm, I can't think of a single thing he does that I'd want at the front of my franchise.

I watch all the Penn State games (Graduated 2008).....I don't get it either. I don't think he'll do much in the NFL, yeah our team has been bad because of all the sanctions and he hasn't got a chance to shine with top talent but his decisions, passing, speed just didn't impress me. He'll need years of training to be anywhere near a NFL caliber QB.

Yea, Christian's definitely a hack (pun intended).

Why don't we hear more about the Patrick Mahomes fella from Texas Tech? Every Red Raider game I've watched this year, he's been impressive. This kid can sling the ball on the run with the best of 'em. He's a gamer. It's not his fault he doesn't have a defense to back him up. The guy is scary good and doesn't receive much hype. He's like the anti-Hackenberg.
