Here are a few suggestions on how to wager on bowl games. Some are obvious. Others are not:
1. The winners of each game cover about 75% of the time. This includes underdogs who always cover, and favorites who also cover.
2. While not as prevalent as previous years, lean to the dogs before 1/1 and the favorites from 1/1 to the end.
3. Avoid favorites who do not want to be in that game or seem to be disinterested in the game.
4. Ball control counts. Look for teams with big rushing advantages.
5. Avoid Favorites who have lost two or more consecutive games.
6. Head Coaching counts. Look for teams with the successful Head Coaches against those who are not.
7. While rare in some cases, compare games against common opponents.
Hopefully these suggestions will help you find an extra winner or two and sometimes that is all it takes to seperate success from failure overall in the bowl season.
