Nebraska Rape Investigation Continues, No Suspensions

    From http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...11-23-14-44-43

    LINCOLN, Neb. (AP)

"Nebraska coach Mike Riley says preparation for Friday's game against third-ranked Iowa is "business as usual" while police and the university investigate a report of a sexual assault at a house shared by players.

Riley said Monday that quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr., receiver Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Trey Foster would practice as usual this week. Asked if he had been assured there would be no university-imposed suspensions before the game, Riley said, "I haven't been assured of anything."

Police say a 20-year-old woman reported she was raped at the house. No arrests have been made.
Armstrong told the Omaha World-Herald last week there was a party at the house in the early hours of Nov. 15. He declined to comment about the situation Monday."

Agree. Sadly the Shuckers will be going bowling regardless of the outcome of their Iowa game Saturday. They won't meet the required 6 wins if they lose but because of the paucity of bowl qualified teams this year they likely will be granted a waiver by the NCAA.

For details see my post http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...owl-games.html

I remember when Bowl games were a reward for teams that had successful seasons. But I am old.
