    They should make it 6 teams

    With the #1 and #2 teams getting a bye, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5, then the lower ranked winner faces #1 and the other faces #2 for the sugar and rose bowl. I dont think 8 is necessary, but 6 will be perfect. IMO. Clearly not for this year, but in the future.

    Jeff Long better have bodyguards if he crosses into the state of Texas.

    They got the right 4 teams but TCU never should have been bumped to third last week. That was just not right.They had no intention of keeping them there.

    No matter what playoff format they have, there will be teams feeling they get snubbed

    Just look at the college hoops system, every year we hear about bubble teams not making it

    Right you dont ever hear about the NCAA Basketball tournament format changing. I think 6 would be perfect.

    8s a logical number, then every conference gets in, said that from day 1, 16 ruins the regular season, you cant say 6 just because of what happened this season.

    I've been saying 6 since the announced the playoff years ago! This isnt because of this year, this year just further proved my idea of 6 from a long time ago

    8 is the the perfect number of teams.

    No byes either, it will leave teams playing the week before at disadvantage IMHO
