    Ohio State University Faithful

    Barrett's Injury

Even if backup QB Jones is able to lead the Buckeyes to a Big Ten title next weekend, the selection committee can factor in the injury of a significant player when filling out its rankings.

The selection committee protocol lists “other relevant factors such as key injuries that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance” as a factor it can consider when ranking teams.

Cardale Jones is basically the same player as Miller and Barrett.

    Next man up.

    business as usual.

oh and he is 6 foot 5 and 250 pounds and has a stronger arm than Barrett and Miller.

Taking away a teams chance at a title due to injury in a violent game is gay. I hope it doesn't come to that

How in the heck is Ohio St going to overlap Baylor and TCU when they lost ATS in last 2 games? Committee uses ATS losses in rankings.

Why would you need to be fast as a QB?

Look at the best NFL QB's. Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Luck. They are very slow.

They were down to Indiana in the 2nd half...at home too! If Miss St and FSU both lose maybe they sneak in?

In college any great athlete can play quarterback because of the way the game is played

It's not even remotely a big loss

JJ can we send your paperwork to Ohio St and see if you can walk on next week vs Wisconsin and lead the Buckeyes to victory?

The biggest problem for Ohio St is not the QB loss. Is Baylor and TCU who don't lose.

Team That Needs Lots of Help

    Ohio State

Even without Barrett's injury, Ohio State still does not appear to have the resume to supplant TCU for the final playoff spot. A labored win over woeful Michigan isn't going to help Ohio State's cause much, and beating two-loss Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game might not add much either. If TCU and Baylor both win next week, the Buckeyes will need one of the top three teams to lose.

Luck is very slow? Interesting pretty sure he ran the same 40 as Newton

Comparing Luck to Brady and Manning is just ridiculous

I think there's a good chance that if Arizona beats Oregon, they would jump Ohio State. The chances of the Buckeyes getting into the final 4 now are slim to none. Their only chance is really Baylor and FSU losing. The committee then would have no choice but to put them in becuase there would be no one other than 'Bama, Oregon/Arizona winner, TCU and then OSU in final 4.

there is zero chance of any 2 loss team getting in over a 1 loss Ohio State. Ohio State will jump TCU and Big 12 will be punished for no title game. Florida State is in even if they lose to Georgia Tech.

The committee is not going to put a team with their third string qb in the playoff if they don't think they're good enough. Personally, I think Wisconsin is going to crush them Saturday, but even if by some miracle they win, they won't finish ahead of TCU and Baylor. No chance. They need to say a prayer they'd finish ahead of Arizona if they beat Oregon.

Cardale Jones cannot throw. He is nowhere close to Barrett. OSU is the 10th best team in the country. Really, but what do you expect from a Michigan fan whose team is not even the 100th best team in the country!

Ohio State gets in With a Win Vs Wisconsin AND a Loss by Oregon, FSU, or Bama. I think before the injury we would have hopped TCU/Baylor for #4, but no chance now. Regardless of what Baylor does vs KSU (Think they lose) I don't see them putting TCU and Baylor both in if one of those 3 does lose, which would be rewarding a conference with no title game.
